Well, what I did last year was go thursday-monday... But if I don't work, I don't make money. I don't have a paid salary or paid vactaiaon days I can take off.

I went lastyear... had a GREAT time. Considering going again... but need to wrok too...

Yes, it happens. Just take a break. I think I"ve caught up on every movie and video in the past few months.

Most people that i know that dont' believe in god aren't atall for the reasons you gave above. Actually I don't know anyone like that. Through most of my discussions and readings (btw, I was a psych and anthro major in college, so I was knowledgable on human nature as well as the evoultionary process) the people that dont' believe in god,simply don't believe because they see the actual hard evidence of evoultion. Actual bones, actual artifacts, and realize that through millions of years on this planet, its just life recreating itself in different forms. And also have the understanding that its human nature to have or NEED somethign to believe in. Thats why we have somany religions, going back through the ages of the neanderthals. Tghey had a religion, they were followers of a 'Bear Cult', believing bears were creatures that were to be worshipped, as higher beings. Bringing death. In every culture you can find some need to believe in something. The greeks, had dozens of gods. Why is the Christian God the one that lasted throught the ages, and forced out so many other religions ? Because of politics, and money , and war. More people have died in the name of religious fervor than anything else, and why ? Because people need so badly to believe thatthere is something else, that we just don't 'blink out' when you die. And trust me, I'm someone that really DOES wish there was a god, because the fear of nothingness does eat away at me. But my logical brain can't fathom there being a higher being that so many people believe in. Its a fairy tale, like any other, only difference is that it had money and power behind it, and it provides one thing we can't seem so many to do for ourselves... give purpose, meaning, and hope.

If you believe in nothing, and spend to much time thinking about it, it can DEFINITELY drive you crazy. People fall into an existential depression, or existential despair over this whole thing. There are tons of philosphy books on this, but because it not a 'happy' way really of looking atlife, its never dominated. People 'need' somethign postive, a reward to help them get through the hardships of life, and religion provides that. There is religion in every culture simply because its human nature to attempt to explain, and find a purpose or meaning behind our existance. I just saw the movie AI the other night, and even though its far-fetched as the actual story goes, it poses alot of questions to what defines life, and in the end there is still just a search for the meaning of life. If you start to think about it too much, and too deeply it can actually be overwhelming. Its doesn't become just a thought or philosophy in your head anymore, but the reality of it suddenly hits...

I've actually thought about this topic alot lately... and NO i don't believe in god, so hence heaven, hell, and all that don't exist along that line of logic I only *WISH* there really was somethign more

I was doing the sober thing with ya... btw, I saw you real quick on the stairs, but every single time i see you, i have to completely reintroduce myself! So i didn't think you'd rember this time either ...

Same, I was there 100% sober. But I can't take a 13 hour credit!! I would have been there longer, but it was too crowded at a certain point, and I was having back pains. I did manage 5 hours though, and had a greattime just checking out the dancers, and bugging out myself dancing. Beats were good, but I missed alot since i wasn't there through the sunday day...

Yeah, I'm thinking local also! Too crowded! I was miserable last year cause I was so squished in

I don't like wearing the same shirts for going out... I like something different, but there are some favorites I will re-wear... however, I just buy cheap party shirts since I expect to wear them only a couople times anyways

yes.. we never ended up going that time.. but i did end up at Temps and Surf I think a few more times during the summer... just was always a task dragging some of my friends out because our house was in Belmar and no one ever wanted to drive! Haha.. actually my first time at surf was w/ Christina and Marvin and some of that crew maybe the next weekend.

Yup I've been to his place... but the only time really when a bunch of people were around was a few weeks back, i think b4 labor day, a bunch of people hung out all weekend at his place, and i stopped by for a few minutes... but left to the shore after a bit....

The casting chick from that show has called me at least 4 times since last thursday when I gave her my number at Centro, not realizing I was gonig to get stalked!! But damn, she does her job well cause she's relentless! The potential for embaressment on those types of shows I'm not up for...

I can't agree with this part... I"ve known some people to get thrown out, I know there are tons of undercover int that VIP room... and just in general the security there is a bit much... however at least one was polite, he keeps calling me "ma'am" when he was psuhing me off the stairs...
