  1. No, they can't be heard.. Bush will just censor them
  2. I'm sure no one that has worked for Bush would call him Unfit to be Commander in Chief, right? even after his four years of presidency they would still say Bush is Unfit to be Commander in Chief!
  3. Patterns of Global Terrorism -2003 Released by the Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism April 29, 2004 The Year in Review There were 190 acts of international terrorism in 2003, a slight decrease from the 198 attacks that occurred in 2002, and a drop of 45 percent from the level in 2001 of 346 attacks. The figure in 2003 represents the lowest annual total of international terrorist attacks since 1969. A total of 307 persons were killed in the attacks of 2003, far fewer than the 725 killed during 2002. A total of 1,593 persons were wounded in the attacks that occurred in 2003, down from 2,013 persons wounded the year before. In 2003, the highest number of attacks (70) and the highest casualty count (159 persons dead and 951 wounded) occurred in Asia. There were 82 anti-US attacks in 2003, which is up slightly from the 77 attacks the previous year, and represents a 62-percent decrease from the 219 attacks recorded in 2001. Thirty-five American citizens died in 15 international terrorist attacks in 2003: Michael Rene Pouliot was killed on 21 January in Kuwait when a gunman fired at his vehicle that had halted at a stoplight. Thomas Janis was murdered by Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia terrorists on 13 February in Colombia. Mr. Janis was the pilot of a plane owned by Southern Command that crashed in the jungle. He and a Colombian army officer were wounded in the crash and shot when the terrorists discovered them. Three American passengers on the plane -- Keith Stansell, Marc D. Gonsalves, and Thomas R. Howes -- were kidnapped and are still being held hostage. William Hyde was killed on 4 March in Davao, Philippines, when a bomb hidden in a backpack exploded in a crowded airline terminal. Twenty other persons died, and 146 were wounded. The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) denies any connection to the suspected bomber who claimed he was an MILF member. Abigail Elizabeth Litle was killed on 5 March when a suicide bomber boarded a bus in Haifa, Israel, and detonated an explosive device. Rabbi Elnatan Eli Horowitz and his wife Debra Ruth Horowitz were killed on 7 March when a Palestinian gunman opened fire on them as they were eating dinner in the settlement of Kiryat Arba. The deadliest anti-US attack occurred in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 12 May when suicide bombers in boobytrapped cars filled with explosives drove into the Vinnell Jadewel and Al-Hamra housing compounds, killing nine US citizens. Killed at the Vinnell compound were: Obaidah Yusuf Abdullah, Todd Michael Blair, Jason Eric Bentley, James Lee Carpenter II, Herman Diaz, Alex Jackson, Quincy Lee Knox, and Clifford J. Lawson. Mohammed Atef Al Kayyaly was killed at the Al-Hamra compound. Alan Beer and Bertin Joseph Tita were killed on 11 June in a bus bombing near Klal Center on Jaffa Road near Jerusalem. Howard Craig Goldstein was killed in a shooting attack near the West Bank settlement of Ofra on 20 June. Fred Bryant, a civilian contractor, was killed on 5 August in Tikrit, Iraq, when his car ran over an improvised explosive device. Three Americans were among the victims of a deadly truck bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad’s Canal Hotel on 19 August. They were Arthur Helton, Richard Hooper, and Martha Teas. UN Special Representative Sergio Vieira de Mello was also among the 23 fatalities. Five Americans were killed in Jerusalem on 19 August when a suicide bomber riding on a bus detonated explosives attached to his body. They were Goldy Zarkowsky, Eli Zarkowsky, Mordechai Reinitz, Yessucher Dov Reinitz, and Tehilla Nathansen. Fifteen other persons were killed and 140 wounded in the attack. Dr. David Applebaum and his daughter Naava Applebaum were killed on 9 September in a bombing at the Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem. Three Americans were killed on 15 October in Gaza Strip as their US Embassy Tel Aviv motorcade was struck by an apparent roadside blast. They were John Branchizio, Mark T. Parson, and John Martin Linde, Jr. All three were security contractors. Lt. Col. Charles H. Buehring was killed on 26 October in Baghdad during a rocket-propelled grenade attack on the Al-Rasheed Hotel. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul D. Wolfowitz was staying at the hotel at the time of the attack. Two Americans, William Carlson and Christopher Glenn Mueller, were killed in an ambush by armed militants in Shkin, Afghanistan, on 27 October. Both were US Government contract workers. Note Most of the attacks that have occurred during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom do not meet the longstanding US defi nition of international terrorism because they were directed at combatants, that is, US and Coalition forces on duty. Attacks against noncombatants, that is, civilians and military personnel who at the time of the incident were unarmed and/or not on duty, are judged as terrorist attacks.
  4. this is such a shame.. I have so much respect for Tillman.. Godbless him
  5. Micheal Moore is definately 1 sided.. but he always has some DAMN good points that REALLY make YOU think!
  6. go ahead and call me dumb.. but I still don't see.. " THE MIDEAST BREAKTHROUGH! "
  7. maybe because it shows we should've concentrated on Osama and not tried to link 911 with Iraq!
  8. its pretty weird this wasn't a big story?? how come??
  9. Honestly.. All you republicans and conservatives.. Please give me some reasons to vote for Bush.. I'll even put the whole Iraq situation aside.. Why should I vote for this man? I like to consider myself a moderate - liberal.. I think I would consider voting for the 'right' republican but.. why should i vote for Bush???? I'll be honest.. I might slightly conside voting for someone like Cheney because he seems slightly intelligent.. maybe he doesn't have the same views as me on things.. but he seems intelligent.. Bush seems like a complete imbecile on things.. What has he done for my country? I don't think Kerry is the best man for the job.. I think Us democrats could've picked someone better... but.. you could give me ANYONE.. republican or democrat and I'd rather have them in office.. Than Bush! Why should I vote for him? I'm open for some ideas..
  10. the article says.. As of Saturday morning, the White House had not commented on the al Qaeda WMD plot and its possible ties to Iraq... its now Monday.. where are the ties?!

  12. i just posted this article.. i love it!
  13. AGAIN.. Where the fuck are the ties to IRAQ and Saddam Hussein?
  14. Heads Up April 14, 2004 Friends, I have never seen a head so far up a Presidential ass (pardon my Falluja) than the one I saw last night at the "news conference" given by George W. Bush. He's still talking about finding "weapons of mass destruction" -- this time on Saddam's "turkey farm." Turkey indeed. Clearly the White House believes there are enough idiots in the 17 swing states who will buy this. I think they are in for a rude awakening. I've been holed up for weeks in the editing room finishing my film ("Fahrenheit 911"). That's why you haven't heard from me lately. But after last night's Lyndon Johnson impersonation from the East Room -- essentially promising to send even more troops into the Iraq sinkhole -- I had to write you all a note. First, can we stop the Orwellian language and start using the proper names for things? Those are not “contractors” in Iraq. They are not there to fix a roof or to pour concrete in a driveway. They are MERCENARIES and SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE. They are there for the money, and the money is very good if you live long enough to spend it. Halliburton is not a "company" doing business in Iraq. It is a WAR PROFITEER, bilking millions from the pockets of average Americans. In past wars they would have been arrested -- or worse. The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush? You closed down a friggin' weekly newspaper, you great giver of freedom and democracy! Then all hell broke loose. The paper only had 10,000 readers! Why are you smirking? One year after we wiped the face of the Saddam statue with our American flag before yanking him down, it is now too dangerous for a single media person to go to that square in Baghdad and file a report on the wonderful one-year anniversary celebration. Of course, there is no celebration, and those brave blow-dried "embeds" can't even leave the safety of the fort in downtown Baghdad. They never actually SEE what is taking place across Iraq (most of the pictures we see on TV are shot by Arab media and some Europeans). When you watch a report "from Iraq" what you are getting is the press release handed out by the U.S. occupation force and repeated to you as "news." I currently have two cameramen/reporters doing work for me in Iraq for my movie (unbeknownst to the Army). They are talking to soldiers and gathering the true sentiment about what is really going on. They Fed Ex the footage back to me each week. That's right, Fed Ex. Who said we haven't brought freedom to Iraq! The funniest story my guys tell me is how when they fly into Baghdad, they don't have to show a passport or go through immigration. Why not? Because they have not traveled from a foreign country -- they're coming from America TO America, a place that is ours, a new American territory called Iraq. There is a lot of talk amongst Bush's opponents that we should turn this war over to the United Nations. Why should the other countries of this world, countries who tried to talk us out of this folly, now have to clean up our mess? I oppose the U.N. or anyone else risking the lives of their citizens to extract us from our debacle. I'm sorry, but the majority of Americans supported this war once it began and, sadly, that majority must now sacrifice their children until enough blood has been let that maybe -- just maybe -- God and the Iraqi people will forgive us in the end. Until then, enjoy the "pacification" of Falluja, the "containment" of Sadr City, and the next Tet Offensive – oops, I mean, "terrorist attack by a small group of Baathist loyalists" (Hahaha! I love writing those words, Baathist loyalists, it makes me sound so Peter Jennings!) -- followed by a "news conference" where we will be told that we must "stay the course" because we are "winning the hearts and minds of the people." I'll write again soon. Don't despair. Remember, the American people are not that stupid. Sure, we can be frightened into a war, but we always come around sooner or later -- and the one way this is NOT like Vietnam is that it hasn't taken the public four long years to figure out they were lied to. Now if Bush would just quit speaking in public and giving me more free material for my movie, I can get back to work and get it done. I've got four weeks left 'til completion. Yours, Michael Moore mmflint@aol.com www.michaelmoore.com
  15. i can't find this in the news anywhere?! kind of makes me think about some of the news you post on here
  16. I might not be what you call an expert.. but I did graduate with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and have almost completed my Masters in Criminal Justice.. I've studied the 4th amendment quite extensively.. let me give you a definition that fits this discussion.. Racial profiling- Unequal treatment of any person including stopping, questioning, detention or arrest on the basis of their racial or ethnic characteristics, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or social/economic status.
  17. The only rap against the Bush administration is that it failed to unravel the entire 9-11 terrorism plot based on a memo titled: "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States." they have more rap against them then that! are you serious? the democrats are not defending policies that are designed to hamstring terrorism investigations.. they are defending policies that our country was built on.. Please read the 4th Amendment... The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Yes, maybe if cops were allowed to search anyone without probable cause they would arrest more criminals.. but we determined a long time ago that our RIGHTS were more important.. Would you really like to give this right up and allow any law enforcement to search and seize without probable cause?
  18. sorry i missed the ass kicking.. explain..
  19. sorry to hear that.. We'll defintely pray for his release
  20. whats the year deadline?
  21. Guys honestly relax.. YOU guys need to get your heads out your ass.. I was trying to look at ideas some Iraqi's might have.. I didn't say my view, nor did I say any actions were wrong.. but this is how some Iraqi's feel.. and no I don't have the chains of events messed up.. I realize what was going on in the mosque.. but.. I've read a few statements from previous high ranking commanders that felt dropping a 500 pound bomb on the mosque was not necessary.. 2 were on Peter Jennings last night.. It doesn't matter if we caused the majority of the damage or Iraq caused the most damage to their own country.. It doesn't matter if we carried the most cleanest bombing campaigns in history.. Its there.. And the Iraqi's see it.. and it wouldn't be there if we didn't start it.. Once again let me remind you that I am not defending any views on the war.. but.. look at how some of the mis-informed Iraqi's might feel about the whole situation.. Yes, we got rid of Saddam Husein.. but.. now are we are forcing our views and way of life to a country that doesn't want it? and yes they are too stupid to realize.. but.. maybe we need to educate them?
