  1. club nv has both, on spring and varrick. i also think exit has both.
  2. check out orchard bar, plantbar, groovejet, fun, happy ending, sway, open, for cool dj/semi-tredy bars. as far as clubs go, centrofly or arc. i would venture to say that if you are from canada you will not like factory. the only problem w/arc is they do not serve alcohol, but it makes up for it in the vibe and energy of the place. much like soma/stereo in montreal. filter 14 (very small) , and baktun are also really good. stay away from culture club, polly esthers, exit and webster hall. send me a pm if you want me to show you and your friends around saturday night. we'll be all over the city and most likely end up @ arc late night. have fun!!
  3. what is the deal with people standing on the dancefloor in a trancelike state and staring at the dj like he/she is some god? i notice this everytime i see sasha, digweed, cox, and any other big name dj. does this bother anyone else or is it just me? it would make more sense to stand off to the side and watch rather then the middle of the floor. whats everyone else's thoughts on this?
  4. thats it. harry potters are no good. just thought i would inform everyone.
  5. sasha will be spinning at arc on august 14th from 12am - 4am. arc has no liquor license and tickets will cost $30 available at satellite records on bowery street. i believe they went on sale this past week. event is the release party for airdrawndagger, and is a mix of breaks with classical film scores. all original songs that he has been working on for years now.
  6. i did see a flyer being handed out this weekend. it said that delta heavy was going to be at the world on the 13th. they we littered all around SF this weekend at PVD. just reporting what i saw.
  7. thanks! i forgot to mention the other half, Jody Wisternoff!! Looking forward to it.
  8. does anybody know if nick warren is coming to new york soon or has this event passed me by? also, has anyone seen hime live?
  9. dave ralph used to spin for oakenfold back in the day. heard him at twilo and he definitely will not let you down. Check out his live in alaska mix, or his love parade cd. his spins progressive and tech, a little bit on the darker side of things.
  10. one thing that i can't stand about SB is the bottle service factor. it completely ridiculous that you have to pay $180 a bottle to get a seat in a lounge down there. i was down there this past weekend and it was a pretty shady scene. different element then jan-mar. overall the clubs don't have the same vibes as NY. thats my opinion.
