  1. Cool if I havent met anyone, say hi!! If you dont know who I am... well... I dunno, i'll be around -Steve
  2. God... Raves... Dont ever diss on clubs again ravers of this board, thats all I have to say. Those pictures are disgusting and a perfect example of why laws are being enacted for all of us to suffer. If I see anyone doing GHB or looking like that, I'll personally have them escorted out of the club and thrown onto the street. That is just gross.
  3. If I were you I'd stick downtown - I've never lived about 20 something street and never relaly go out much above 34th lol Pick up Time-Out NY and start there- Hit Union Square early evening 7-9 for drinks and food... then venture downtown to westbroadway perhaps into Soho and hit lounges there or go to Lafayette Another nice nice lounge is Aubette - on East 27th Street. -Steve
  4. Hi Kitten, Dress Code policy is casual but neat, and has been so for some time. Jeans is cool, sneakers is alright, but don't wear blatantly sloppy thuggish or raverish clothing. (IE - UFO's and gear like you just walked out of a rap video) Some people prefer to dress up, some people dress to dance, its up to you.
  5. Now thats the most respectible response I've seen in awhile to people querying about what to do.
  6. Haven't done one in awhile... But we're psyched for this party! Who's coming?
  7. Juju... Always fun in the city if you look for it Besides, clubland will be changing up here soon... In the meantime, I have Carl Cox this Thursday and Digweed next... both legends in their own right. I know that will give at least some people something to do
  8. Have you ever saw him before? Its only $15 on the web or $20 at the door.
  9. Centro-Fly. Just a reminder. If you want hard beats the right way, then don't miss Carl.
  10. A 40?? Yeah pass that St Ides my way hahahah
  11. Craziest and strangest places I've had sex was... 6th Floor of the Axinn Library, Hofstra U... in front of the 'music' literature section... redifining making music lol - that was great, if I got busted I would have gotten tossed. Memories... almost 9 years ago. In a Quaker cemetery during the eclipse of a moon. Same crazy chik I dated from about 9/10 years ago (I was 18 at the time) - That one freaked me out, made people turn in their graves bwhaah. Um, the bubble lounge in Twilo... some girl raped me... Mens bathroom in Cheetah with this ridiculously hot Miller Light bikini model, R&B singer type from Beverely Hills Cali that I met 45 minutes prior to that... and I spent the whole weekend with... I'll never forget. There's other spots, but I think the 1st two take the cake for me.
  12. Place is gorgoues, had dinner there sometime last year, I can't even remember when... but the place is top notch hot.
  13. The fact that you're threadjacking a party that many people have busted their asses off on to pull off is whats really just plain stupid. If you want to argue about talent do it elsewhere.
  14. Its not the point of a DJ. Digweed has done far more for the progression of dance music on a global level then Hawtin ever will. Its about adapting and feeling the music. Digweed started one of the most sucessful parties and record labels ever. To defend him against statements versus Hawtin is just completely foolish. Two different artists altogether.
  15. Drop me a line at Steve@urbanpromos.com and I'll give you the rundown.
  16. Thats a good question... I'm gonna give Riznuss a ring manana. He's been working hard in a different industry and set his life up good.
  17. If you want some good groovin music then get to Centro-Fly this Thursday! Randall Jones - The king of Philly and co-main man behind Tigerhook. He even used to play Vinyl back in the day at the Home parties on Friday. The guy has releases out on every major dance label from Hook, SAW, to End and Bedrock. He's toured with Cream in South America, played with Digweed at Bedrock and played a Kiss FM Set... talk about unreal? Brad Copeland - A special treat for Brad and for us. Brad is Stereo's (Montreal Canada) weekly resident and a rising star in the Canadian scene. His name is well known throughout Montreal, and even over to Halifiax, etc... he's played alongside the best and his bootleg productions have gained playtime across the world and hit the top charts. He's been growing in his production skill as well as DJ, so this is a cool treat to see someone in NYC that will be a star globally. Low End Specialists - Mac and Ali are back for a special set alongside the guys. Nothing but extraordinary things can be said about these two as their production skills show top notch merit... working on a few projects of late that will bolster there already reputable rap around the world. Catch a dose of the duo... and then again on July 3rd when they play with John Digweed! $10 on the list Doors open at 10pm Centro-Fly
  18. Silverbull: I wrote yadda yadda as to say that there are more clubs out there that play electronic music then the ones I listed. The scene isnt dead and won't die. Also, every single person defines the scene a little differently then the other.
  19. House music has always been underground in this country. Hop-hop is mainstream culture. Its just the way things have progressed... only takes a few media moguls to drive a generation. If you want dance music, there are only few places left that are consistent. Centro-Fly, Arc, Factory(if you call that music 1/2 the time except for Cleveland), yadda yadda. Pick up a copy of Mixmag if you can, then you'll see where dance music flourishes, everywhere else.
  20. Think about it... Doesnt sound right lol Aztec - Frats suck.
  21. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions... Centro-Fly is a happy medium in clubbing. You have the alcohol, you have a nice setting, and you have the talent. The sound has been tremndously improved over the last 9 months. Cox will rock it
