well, i know he mostly doesn't read this board (or any message boards for that matter) but i just had to give a huge shout to my mate greg chin AKA stryke on his birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE! for those of you who don't know, greg is a wicked wicked old school florida ambiant/house/techno dj/producer/remixer. one of the worlds most under rated best kept secrets!! in the early/mid 90's he used to have weekly guest spots on "marry's house" broadcast on UM's WVUM radio station. he played regularly at "the edge" in fort lauderdale as well as at clubs all over the US and south america. he has tracks/remixes on albums such as the hed kandi compilations, lee burridge's NuBreed & christan smith's essential mix...the protoge(SP?) of richie hawtin, he's also a favorite producer of carl cox and has a ambiant/remix album ("strkye-rare & remixed" 1997-8? ), 3 mix cd's ("rhythm chamber vol.2" 1997, "staying in" 2001 & "advance" 2001) as well as one artist album ("reality base" 1997) and a new forth coming artist album called ("letters from the blue diary" 2002). he will be playing a 5 hour house/techno birthday set tonight at space starting at around 12am...i will def. be there and if you like wicked good house/techno then i would check it out!! show some support for our home town talant!!
