I really can't wait to finish the semester, I finally graduate after 5 years. I did the co-op program so that's why I had an extra year. Doing any kind of work after spring break is just not happening...I've been blowing off all my classes since then.

I do not know much about the MD players. How much does the mini disc hold??? That's a pretty nice gift, the Ipod is pretty expensive. I bought the Archos Jukebox Studio 10GB for $180. I've actually seen quite a few people carrying this one around as well.

Definitely get an MP3 player. They have players that hold up to 10 Gigs now. Best investment ever, I commute to the city everyday and it makes the commute so much better.

I can't believe how old this track is but its still an awesome track.
Can anyone recommend some awesome techno CD's? I'm dying to go out and buy some new music but I have no idea where to start looking. Please list some Artists and Albums, preferably newer stuff, but anything that is a must have.

I think I'm definitely gonna have to check out the homegrown party. Do you spin there every week? What genre of music do you spin mostly? Do a lot of people from clubpanet spin at this party and go there to chill?

Yeah, I think Sullivan Room is where the Tronic Treatment Party is. I guess its all about exploration and trying out different places each week until you find a few places that you really like.

I just noticed The Homegrown NYC Party in another post. It takes place on Tuesday's at Leopard Lounge. It looks kind of cool too!

So I ended up goin to check this place out and it was pretty cool. The place was very small but it was still pretty nice in a quaint sort of way. I got there around 11 and the place was empty. I didn't want to stay too late because I had work this morning. When I left around 12:45 the place was suprisingly packed. All of the seats were pretty much filled up. The drinks weren't bad, they were $5 each. The music was pretty cool but it was a little too chilled out for my tastes. I wish they would have played a little harder. All in all it was just a relaxing night out. I think music wise I want to check out the Monday night Tronic Treatment party next.
While we're on the subject of these smaller venues, does anyone know of any other small, underground type places with no cover and electronic music? The only places I know of are Liquids, Leopard Lounge, and now Drinkland. I really want to find more places like this.

Thanks for all the info!!! I think I'm gonna go ahead and check it out. All the nice weather we've been having lately has put me in this mood where all I want to do is just go out and do things and have fun, plus the fact that I just got back from spring break this past weekend...lol

I noticed an add on Tronic Treatment's website for Drinkland.
The party is on Tuesday nights and its supposed to be Deep Minimal Techno.
Has anyone been to this party or even the venue itself? I'm thinking of checking it out tonight and want to hear some opinions on the place.

How is Cheetah? I've never been there before but was thinking of going this Saturday. Can anyone give a description of the setup, the vibe, the music, etc...
Or based on personal experiences can anyone recommend some other good places on Saturday nights. Preferrably a place with a decent sized dancefloor and one that spins electronic music only....no hip-hop!!! I'm talking about places like Centro or Float, etc...

I got the Archos Jukebox Studi0 10. It holds 10 gigs of music. I was able to fit a bunch of CD's, Live Sets, and Mp3's on it.
