  1. These songs will definitely be hot if they are ever released but what really makes these songs is JP tearing them up. The live versions are phat cause its almost like being in factory. I guess we can at least look forward to the SF Live CD's to get that factory feel at home.

  2. It was in Bedford Stuyvesant. As soon as you get off the Williamsburg Bridge you take the first exit for Metropolitan Ave. The place was on N 6th Av not too far from the bridge. The place was pretty nice but it was small. It was like the first floor of an apartment building but it was decorated nicely and had a real chill atmoshpere. Somebody should open a place like this in Hoboken or something.

  3. I went to this lounge in Brooklyn last night called "Level X" I think. It was a pretty chill atmosphere and the music was pretty good. All the songs were DT style I guess you could say. But they were all around 125 BPM. I guess a good example of the type of beats they played would be "You Make the World Go Round". All the songs had that nice bassline with the snare and symbols making a phat beat. I hope this was a good description. Do you guys have any good songs that I could check out that are similar to this loungy style? Thanks.

  4. Oh cool, I didn't know John Michaels was gonna be on the main floor cause that's who is supposed to be giving us the comps. I saw him at a bar at Rutgers and he spun a lot of deep house. If I go I'll definitely come by the red room too!! Good Luck Justin!

  5. Does anyone know who is spinning on the main floor this friday? My girlfriend's friend is getting some comps because she is friends with one of the DJ's that is gonna be spinning in one of the side rooms. I'm just curious to see if there will be anyone worth seeing on the main floor. Thanks!

  6. I know people feel that there is some problems with the music board but I feel it has come a long way since I joined 2 years ago. The board has more of a personality now and the traffic is greater during the day. I remember going on this board when there was only like 10 posts a day. Now I mainly stay on this board because there is so much going on. I also like the stuff like the Weekly Top X list and stuff. A lot of people have been putting up some good music too.

  7. I finally got it. It was

Timo Maas - To Get Down (Timo's Dub)

By the way, I could swear somebody mentioned a Timo Maas set that they said was one of the best live sets ever. I tried searching but couldn't find anything. Does anybody have any good Timo Maas live sets to recommend? Thanks.

  8. Hey Lizzy :)

Yeah, Luis Diaz was really good I was definitely feeling a lot of the tracks he was playing. It was awesome when he played Questions. The bass in that track was insane and I think that was when they finally turned the system all the way up.

  9. Tranza:

Thanks for the info. Do you know where I can get advanced tickets? Preferrably a place in the city that I could go to rather than having to arrange a meetup with somebody who is selling tickets. Thanks again!

  10. I know what you mean about the music and crowd lately. Last time I was there was for the Classics night. During the late Sunday morning hours evertyime the lights would flash you would just see people standing there. It looked like a room full of people that were waiting for the president to speak his first words at a conference or something. Nobody was cheering or clapping or anything. I hope the anniversary party is a lot better. I also noticed that the crowd seems more lively in the earlier morning hours like around 5 or 6 am. I don't know if its the crowd or maybe the music is more energetic around that time.

On a side not does anyone have definite info about the price for this weekend cause I remember someone posting that it might be $50?

  11. I know this is a little late but I saw a post about this song on another board.

Its a song that both Luis Diaz and PVD played that night.

During the break/buildup of the song there was a few bass notes going through a musical scale from low to high. Basically 4 or 5 notes would be played and then they would be repeated each time getting higher and faster. It was similar to slowly adjusting the pitch of a track from a low pitch to a higher one. Then when the notes were repeating really fast the song kicked back in.

  12. "La La La...."

Is that supposed to be Wonderland?

    If So then try

The Psychedelic Waltons - Wonderland (S-man's Dark Tribe Mix)

I wasn't there so I could be wrong.

I really love the mix of Wonderland and The Skank on JP's CD btw.

    Sorry about the double post.

  13. Well, if you are talking about the number of songs that YOUR satellite can download simultaneously then it all depends on your connection. If you are using a regular modem than the more songs that you download simultaneously the slower the rate of transfer you will get because you only have a limited amount of bandwidth. If you have a high speed connection then it won't matter. I'm pretty sure this explanation is correct.
