  2. Would anyone have some good suggestions on some good songs with good build up and hard beats ?
  3. For anyone who is from Long Island, I got a flyer in the mail about Tsettos spinning at the club Cyberia in Farmingdale tonight is this true can anyone confirm or also hear of this ?
  4. Said to be the hottest club tune for the past six months.....was anyone listening? goes something like "I don't want to be your love"......that's it I think....female vocal
  5. If they should offer anyone a shot it should be Frankie Magz ; ) He's the best newer DJ nobody wants or gives a chance to. I thought he was exceptional over last Summer at EXIT.
  6. I am looking for any songs or DJ'S that specialize in hard progressive beats, with great build up, any songs, or DJ's you guys could recommend ?
  7. Ok a lot of you guys are amazingly good at this, but I think this one will stump all. But I hope not cause I would love to know what song this is.... Anyway it is usually played at 2 place I know of SF and this place on Long Island called Cyberia. It has none if very little vocals, and the main beat is loud and constant through most or all of the mixed song, its a loud WHOMP, WHOMP, WHOMP, sometimes the given DJ stops it in mid song, and it starts up again Good Luck, hope you can ID it.
  8. Well my New Years was very good, I checked out this club. Let me tell you I was pleased yet their were some downsides that kinda got me annoyed. The good was the club itself, I liked the layout, and the amount of girls their was something I haven't seen for a while, easly a 3:1 ratio. The music was good got better later on after midnight. Some things I could have lived without was the over 1 hour wait on line, especially in the weather we had you think the club promoters or owners would have used some smarts, and not cared about having a line for the place to make the place look good from afar. And I agree its important to keep the opposite sex happy and on a regular night I would have a lot less problem with the place allowing all women in before me, but I paid the same or more at $150 + to get into and enjoy the club, as them so they could have waited just like me outside in the cold. And my final disappointment, was to the VIP section bouncer goons. Hey do you think people are stupid, if someone buys a VIP ticket with one of the stipulations being "full" access to VIP areas why would I not expect to be able to enter ??? This idiot bouncer had the humor to try and lie to my face about their being "another VIP package worth $400 !!! And since I did not have it I couldn't enter the area, then he changed his story to "I needed a special stamp" to make a long story short, its commical what some people do to avoid being wrong. So all in all I had a good time I was with my close friends, and it was worth the experience but the World has some finer points of being a mega club, to work on but its new and they will learn these.
  9. Can someone give me info. on the following places, crowd (girl/guy ratio), music, etc... 1. the world 2. the 200 5th club 3. alhpabet lounge
  10. Well I went to the grand opening party for the 4th floor at Sound Factory and I have to say it was very good, the new floor is something to see, it has a lounge look and feel almost to the point where when your up their you don't really feel as though your at the Factory. It has its own coat check, a full bar, and bathrooms, even showers which are opposite a jacuzzi which is in one of the offsetting rooms. You don't lose out on the music, because with their new sound system it is heard just as loud as when your out on the main dance floor. And in terms of the music John Peters was very good probably the best I have heard him, he really held little back. So if you haven't seen the new additions definately go and take a look, its well worth it.
  11. Well to be honest I have been clubbing for a little bit and just a little while ago I realized that these places people don't go their primarly to hook up for that go to a bar its more soical anyway, places like the clubs discussed here are for let's face it exterme dancing and doing massive drugs period. And the girls/guys who do go home with one another are either b/f g/f already or have met up with people as a plan before hand. Being physically fit does not hurt your chances either, which most people will say "has nothing to do with anything" yeah right. [This message has been edited by eldude (edited 11-09-2000).]
  12. Well I think whoever makes you happy and treats you well and of course who your compatible with is what you should measure if your going to be in relationships with the person, I for one like girls of different ethnic backgrounds I think women of different ethinictiy are very sexy (hint to any nice girls out their = ) No but seriously it can be hard in this day and age but if you truely like and respect one another more power to both of you.
  13. Well this one is for any clubplanet people who are residents of Long Island (not sure how many their are) anyway a few months ago I swore off this place which is located in Hauppauge, L.I. but I heard a rumor that the music their had changed and they were bringing in some note worthy DJ's (Glen Fisher, and DJ Guido respectively) well to my disappointment eventhough these DJ's have spun their whatever management decisions they have made has turned this place into a joke. I do not understand the logic of bringing in a very good DJ if you: 1. Have him play only 2 hours or so. 2. Have him change up the style of music played right when the vibe is going well. Not to mention they overpack the place considerably every night (those of you who went last night or have recently gone know what I mean) the bathroom situation is a joke as well. In closing this place is trying to compete with Cyberia (so I am told) well one thing the management can do is take some notes from the people over at Cyberia and instead of trying to immulate them try incorperating some of their philosopheies and stick to a style of music that they want and for God's sake expand the bathroom area ! Until that haapens NYC clubbers if your looking for a true taste of the Long Island club scene its located on 1815 Broadhollow Rd Farmingdale, NY
  14. Well here's my pic hope all you girls like it [This message has been edited by eldude (edited 11-02-2000).]
  15. Anyone know who is to be DJ at Cyberia in Farmingdalw L.I. this friday, any word ?
  16. Ok I would like to clear up a misconception on this post I NEVER ment a comparison on the SF an Cybria ! As a matter of fact I find the responses insinuating that the two crowds being similar very amusing, because the majority of the club-goers at SF are on drugs. Whereas Cyberia lends itself to more timid partying. Just wanted to clear that one up [This message has been edited by eldude (edited 10-24-2000).]
  17. Thought I would join the party with my pic too, any girls think im cute ? LOL
  18. Well I thought I might as well post my pic too, any girls think im cute write to me LOL
  19. Well most people know who live on Long Island that if you can't get to the City the one place to go to get that "feel" at least somewhat is a place called Cyberia in Farmigdale. Now some of you may remember this as "Market Square" a few years back. Well since they kicked Justin Time out (which I thought at the time was a real bad move) they have become a sort of "feature" place with differnt DJ's every Friday night. This not only increases the versitility of the crowds but helps in keeping each time you go a little different. Last Friday was no different and in my perception was one of the best times I have been their, the music was outstanding, DJ Boris was great (he usually is when he wants to be) the place used some light effects etc... and the crowd was good too.
  20. Although the eye-candy of the women bartenders and the provocative images being projected on the walls was great. I have to say that the music played that night was below avearge in this regard, the DJ Johnathan Peters is very good no argument, but his pattern and use of a basic rift underneth the majority of all the songs was wrong, in short every song sounded very much the same. And one more point, I love sexy dancers just like the next guy but could you please keep them on the damn stage where they belong, and not bring them out to the middle of the dance floor with security, the dance area in SF is small enough but that's another message post altogether. -Dude [This message has been edited by eldude (edited 10-16-2000).]
