  1. I heard a little something about this party. I might stop by.
  2. There is actually an unreleased mix of that White Stripes track that is not the simple radio or album version you are used to hearing. I heard it on Adam Freeland's essential mix last month. Its also like 9 minutes long as opposed to the 4 minute album version. I am pretty sure you heard that mix of it. I personally love it and would love to get my hands on it.
  3. http://metromixradio.com/homegrown/ 5/27 - DJ Grant, Jimmy Sky,track for track tag team You must check this mix out. Last Tuesday at Homegrown I finished off what should have been a closing set at 2AM and looked around at a full room of people at Leopard Lounge. Jimmy Sky and DJ Grant had both already thrown down a kick ass hour solo set each and were ready to head home to bed. I looked at the crowd and asked them if they wanted to stick around and tag team in front of an eager crowd for a while. While tired and semi-drunk, they decided to put down a few tracks before they headed off. 2 hours later, after going track for track and slamming down accapellas and beats back and forth over each others tracks, the bar was closing and I was still in shock of how unbelievable these two worked off of one another. They have never even heard each other play before and they totally rocked the place with Tenaglia like style and skills. I cannot wait to put these two on a Homegrown billing again doing an extended tag team set together. I daresay this was the best tag team I ever heard.
  4. Thats a nice picture!!
  5. Thanks for the support Mike. You and Jon both played great sets last night. They should be up on MetroMixRadio within a week. Funny thing is, not long after you guys left, the place started filling up. By the time I was finishing up with my set around 2, the time we usually end the party, there were so many people there that I turned to Grant and Jimmy Sky and asked them if they wanted stick around and tag team for while. At first, a semi-drunk Grant said he would just throw down a track or two with Jimmy and then head home to bed. 2 hours later when the bar was closing, and after going track for track with Jimmy the whole time, I was still in shock of how incredible the two of them worked together. It was underground tribal madness!!! Neither of them had ever even heard the other play before and they were letting mixes go for like 2 to three minutes at a time while layering accapellas and crazy beats all over the place. Definitely a nice ending to the night. That is the beauty of Homegrown man. You can catch great DJs with so many different styles and hear some truly original performances. Thanks for being a part of it bro. We will definitely have to bring you back sometime.
  6. Best set I have been privy to in a long time. Couldn't stop moving until the last record stopped.
  7. Nice!! I am running on 3 hours of sleep right now. Only some bangin beats will keep my ass awake, so bring the nasty stuff tonight boys.
  8. Parking can be a bitch, but you can score something with a little luck and persistence. It would be good to have you bro. Looking forward to it.
  9. I think she has played at Tronic Treatment. I could be wrong.
