  1. i still have my sexy at the roxy card.

QUOTE=cotoncandydream;3115861]I am not arguing with the fact things have been a bit dead for a while. But I spoke with the powers that be and they are going to let the remaining members here conduct an experiment. I mean CP (clubnyc) was the first social network for people like us. So we get to go back to the meetups, free entries and perks we had around 2001-2002

    Let's see what happens.

  2. i was just wondering that. there is no reason why we cant start it up again. and if the community is dead we can always bring in new people. i totally used to go to lots of meet ups and its great. i been out of the night life scene for a few years but just started partying again a couple months ago. i would love to meet some new and old cp heads sometime. i say go for it.

as for the venue, depends on what feel your looking for. i do a party like twice a month that would be a decent place for a pre-game for a big club or bar crawl. also depending on how serious you are i can let your dj spin any saturday. but in the end im down for whatever, any place is good as long as we start meet ups again.

  3. i do a party on saturdays in a brazilian lounge. if you bring 15 people i can comp you on bottle service. hip hop pop and reggae. do you have an email?

    Hey guys...

I'm looking for a spot to celebrate my Birthday this month. I'm celebrating it with a friend of mine who has a bday close to mines. We like spanish, hip-hop. The spanish isn't as important but we do like. All we want is a nice place, with a grown up crowd.

We're turning 23 and we have about 15-20 people coming between both of us. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

  4. without a doubt the best movie i've seen in my life. and i'm not a fan boy. i've studied film and i am an actor, and this film is over all well put together. can't wait to see it again.

  5. i never really followed cielo...i just think its weird him being in such a small space. last time i saw him was at crobar and he rocked hard. if he rocks cielo like that it would be crazy, and probably crazy packed too. im hopin he does not go all mellow

    cuz of the space.

  6. gotta say it was pretty cool. i have the unfortunate luck to have my days off being monday nights and tuesday nights, and i've been lookin for good spots on those days. cielo was recommended but i didn't ever go until yesterday. gotta say i was quite impressed. its a small intimate place, great decor and lighting. no real attitude from people. pretty sweet. good beats so that was cool too. i reallly liked the little outdoor area they had too. i couldnt tell if francois k. was the white guy or the black guy behind the booth lol. no matter. good times. unfortunately i had to leave early but ill definitely be stoppin by a couple times a month on mondays. pregame at the gansevoort was sweet too and within walking distance. my mondays wont be the same =)

  7. isn't this ironic. brooksbro is reputed to be a fake screenname, probably of an insecure individual who has to pretend he is better than everyone else to make up for his insecurities and frustration with life. he has a picture of the poster from American Psycho. A film about a man who imagines a fake life as a serial killer, and is jealous of his better, resorting to fantasies of violence as a resort of his insecurities and jealousy of his betters. Both the character from the novel and abrooksbro show their contempt for those who are less fortunate...hmmm. just a thought.

  8. 2000 for me too. i gotta say its been a wild ride. i think we have the unique experience of being able to document and share our social lives throughout a long period of time. it feels weird for us to be looking back on all these years because cp was and is a collective experience that continues to grow and change. and its new...i think it makes us more introspective in a way. before people would like look at there yearbooks every once in a while and think man where did the years go, but not really remember so the moment passes. here it is easy for people to bring up old memories that you might not remember, or even look up and old thread. we got it good.

as for clubs i used to love sf 0n 46th, then more recently the sexy at the roxy parties. good times. went to twilo for sasha and digweed. that was great, all the people i met at that party i became friends with and stayed in touch for years. clubs today are eh...

i think clubs became crappy when the pd started crackin down on everything. i hope we dont become old losers with kids that laugh at us like we would laugh at disco people. could you imagine having your kids see you inn an old picture with glowsticks...lol classic

  9. Combat boredom whilst studying / put guidos in their place. I initially came to this board hoping it would have nightlife discussion about things I cared about. This is largely not the case, so I deride people who in my opinion are what is wrong with nightlife

so other than brooks brothers...what do you like? i think we might mike you more if we knew something about where your coming from. granted, most people in general would say european clubs are better...but yeah everyone knows that and we arent complaining for no reason. maybe if you speak about what your looking for someone hear can tell you about a nice party or something that you might like.

as for the brooks brothers...try the fashion board

    abrooksbro=dax flame
