Just take things very slow the next time, don't open up completely until you feel comfortable with the right person. I have moved on from my experience...but I went very slowly so not to get hurt again. Slow is sometimes good in these types of situations. And remember to keep an open mind about a new relationship...this new person is not your ex and they shouldn't be penialized for what has been done in the past. This is hard to do, but if you don't you will only push this person farther away and possibly lose the best person in your life.

Flavors...I hear you! Although their insidence only happened once....they both lied for 2 years! I thought that we had a close relationship, guess not. No matter how many times my ex apoligized and said that he was a dick for what he did, I still never really forgave him. We were young, but to me that was no excuse. We were in love and always talked about getting married, had the close relationship with his family and he with mine. The whole deal. But now I am with someone who would never cheat and I am glad in the long run that we broke up otherwise I wouldn't be with the person I am with today...the best person in my life. Live and learn.

From personal experience, I too have had my boyfriend sleep with my best friend, but they both hid it from me for 2 years! I only found out when we broke up for other reasons and out of guilt and anger on his part. I was so hurt and to this day I havent' talked to that "friend" except once and then she knew that I could never forgive her. That was 5 years ago. As for the ex, the memories will always be there, they were'nt all bad times...so in the beginning it is hard to get over the fact of what bad things they have done to you, but after a while the good memories will come back. Not to say that you fogive them, but you are more objective and learn to deal with what has happened. For me it took me almost 6 months without seeing or talking to the ex. Then we tried the friendship thing...it just didn't work out. But I no longer hate him, but I don't like him either. A lot of other things happened between us that has made me feel this way about him, not just the cheating. He still calls occasionally and I have seen him because he is still friends with my brother, I am civil to him, but I let it be known that I have not forgotten what he has done. Good luck with everything...let time tell wether or not you can ever be friends with either, but give it plenty of time and give yourself time. Good luck!

Just checked out the website, no mention of a party this weekend...He said that it is techno and he bought tickets in advance. He said about an hour away...I live in Wallingford. So I'm not thinking that it is this party...but tell me anyways...always looking for new places to go. Never been here. What kind of party is it on this Friday?

We will be renting a car, so travel is ok. How far of walk is it from Playa to the marina section?

My boyfriend is surprising me this weekend by taking me to somewhere about 1 hour away...not Boston/New York...at a club, but he bought tickets ahead of time, said get ready to stay up all night partying, but he is not sure if the club will close at normal time or after hours....anyone know of anything crazy going on this weekend?

Went to Neat Lounge 2 weeks ago. No cover, good crowd, stylish. Ok music, but some commercial techno from like 2 years ago. Good drinks, kind of a martini crowd. Good place overall. Haven't been to the other 2 clubs mentioned...are they 21+? New Haven is blowing up! Much better than Hartford now. Bliss sucks...just went there on Friday...same shit as Velvet...not much different. Very disappointing. Went in w/jeans and a dressy trendy top and great shoes...was told at the door that they have a new dress code...no jeans, but that we looked good, so we got in. Keep in mind that I am a girl...no baggies for me. I guess they are trying to get an upper scale crowd in there...but jeez at least make the place look different...not the same old shit. Better off in New Haven. Usually hit the Diesel Lounge first, then neat or Alchemy. Bar on Saturdays is good too. Anyone hear of anything special going on this weekend?

I am also planning my first trip for late June/early July of next year. How much was the Royal Plaza per night? I was thinking of staying in Playa....what are some good restaurants? Going for 10 days, so we will have plenty of time to hit the clubs and the beaches and tour the island. Any advise is appreciated. How much were your plane tics? Cheapest I saw so far was $800 from JFK

Try the Sheraton Russell, stayed there 3 times and it is very nice, about $179/night.

I have been looking at hotels outside of Ibiza town...they seem much cheaper. How much was your room? And what is "half board"? I'm thinking that if I buy tickets for June in like October/Novemeber they will be cheaper??? Is that so?
