I was wondering if anyone had some info or recommendations on clubs in Columbus. I just recently moved to the area from Boston, and was wondering what the scene is like. I'm looking for either clubs that play good trance or house music, or lounges with techno or hip hop music.

Does anyone have any suggestions of nice clubs in san fran or really popular ones with good dj's? Also if anyone knows who I could call to get a table at a nice club that would be great. Thanks.

I live in boston and went to prep school in ct, near new haven. I go to nyc, and surrounding areas all the time. The fastest way is 95 to 91 to 84 to mass pike. You will then avoid all the traffic headed to guilford/madison area as well as the other long island sound areas. This is more direct as well. I can uaully make it to the triboro in 3 1/2 hours from downtown boston with no traffic, but you will definately experience the least amount of traffic going this way. Good luck. I will be at the show friday and hope it will be as good as the one I went to at twilo last year.

Its a club thats pretty popular on thursdays and fridays, catering to a different crowd each night. Its in the theater district. Its like euro-house kinda music, nothing to great, but its pretty chill on tuesdays I have been there before. I don't know if there is anything else going on, so that might be your best bet. I would suggest getting a metro when you get into town, its a free newspaper at most T stations, and it lists all clubs for the night and what music they play and stuff like that.

I know Venu is open and kinda chill tuesday night, I don't know if its 21+ or 19+, but they aren't too strict either way. Don't know what else is going on.

Hey, has anybody on here been checking out il panino? I have heard that they have been having friday and saturday nights for awhile, but just started with the sunday nights this summer. For the summer and a sunday night it has been really good. Quite packed for the size of the place, and a good crowd. I have been going the last couple weeks and recommend it to anyone who hasn't been, but what are the other nights like there?

A friend of mine tried to get tickets online yesterday and they said they were sold out. I guess if you don't have your tickets now you have to wait in line that night.....how glad am I that I already reserved mine:-)

I wouldn't miss it for the world. I am sure it will be the best night avalon has all summer.

I heard that he is supposed to come on around 11, so that he can play a 3 hr. set, but if its up to him who knows when he will come on. It will still be nothing like the 6 hour ones he used to do at twilo.

Yeah the new sound system is phat, and they have foam guns and some sort of a freeze spray coming from the ceilings that add to the enjoyment of the club. Some of the bouncers will take bribes, but be careful, some of them are assholes and will take the money and screw you.

Are there any good clubs in san antonio? I am going to school there in the fall and want to know what my options there are? I am into house and techno places.....

I was in italy for a couple months this spring, and I found some good clubs, if you hit verona there is an awesome "euro massive club". Also in venice, florence the had good clubs too. Mestre is an awesome spot too. About those places you are going to, I never made it to them, but good luck.

Whats been going on in philly clubs lately? any new clubs that have popped up? any good dj's coming soon?

I loved Scarface, Half Baked, fear and loathing in las vegas, Traffic, and I love you Alice B. Toklin, its a 70's film about yuppies who eat hash brownies and get fucked up, its such a trippy film, I saw it the first time I rolled and now watch it to trip all the time.......

yeah sorry, I probably confused some with the random array of clubs. I go to places like twilo just for the music and dj's. I hit up spa and avalon and places like that with my friends. I'm more into the lounge/upscale scene. Is that what dragon fly and 18th st. lounge are like? I am looking for places that are nice and low key but play great music......

anybody ever taken green apple macintoshes or blue tweeties? how were they? do you know whats in them? or has anybody heard anything bad or good about them?

Yeah Michigan really blew it this year, with Anthony Thomas, Drew Henson, and David Terrell, they should have been awesome, but they blew it way too much, lets just hope Terrell and Henson stay around and they get some defense, that was how they messed it all up. Go Blue in 2001!

Its not about age, its about how well you work together. Guys are not always more immature than girls of the same age. Its different for every person. If the maturity levels match no matter what age you are then go for it, but if the connection and communication isn't working get out of the relationship.
