the armory is a FABULOUS venue for a party. my personal fav. a warehouse the length of a football field with 80 ft. ceilings and a massive downstairs area to boot! i've been to the d.c. armory for the Ultraworld thanksgiving events for the past three years. i was a little disappointed at last year's event. the downstairs rooms were no comparison to previous years - and what happened to the ambient section? it was like they downsized the event and upsized the cost. i also thought the set and lighting effects were of a lesser quality. don't get me wrong - i thought adam f and darren emerson tore it up. who was that badass chick that slammed hard house around 4 or 5? mistress barbara? she was good, too. but even scott henry's set was a little disappointing. Ezdreamer and I left @ 2pm. I don't recall seeing you - I was hanging on the steps most of the night. But by 10am I couldn't see straight anyway! LOL! And if you've ever seen Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii, you KNOW it would be an amazing, spiritual venue for a gathering of the greatest DJ talent in the world! A new Twilo record for me - 13 hours and welcome!!! I only wish I had the stamina to stay for the last 3 hours of DT's set. That said, it was mos def the BEST tracks I've had the pleasure of hearing Digweed lay down! He is unbelievable. Around 7 or 8am I heard the voice of GOD - i.e. Diggers on a mic! Then 2 hours of seamless tag teaming ensued, easing me into my virgin DT experience. I wasn't sure what to expect with their different styles but my mind was blown away! And then solo Tenaglia rocked me! A duo not to be missed, ever! Now I have to give props to my ClubNYC crew. It wouldn't be the same without you guys. MissIncognito and Myrlin, even though we weren't together much, just seeing you guys now again - especially Ursula's beaming smile - made me very happy! Shadowchaser, it's been so much fun to hang with you! Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. I, too, am thinking of a brief hiatus. Can I join you? Let me know if you wanna get together sometime! Ezdreamer - you make a party animal out of me! Thanks for a fantastic evening, the ride home and breakfast, even though we both were falling asleep while eating!
