  1. Dress code? I would assume come as you are, but I might be wrong... Cost? THanks!
  2. what time will this shin dig be going on??? I am DYING to check out this space...been hearing TONS about it. I also ready about it in "New York" Magazines Best Of...it was like best afterhours spot.
  3. This show will most likely not be free...Summerstage has a few shows per summer that are dubbed at 'fund raisers' to keep the venue going. Its a sweet space, however they run a VERY STRICT 10pm noise ordinance cerfew. I've been to many a shows there over the past 5 summers and they all pack it up at 10, no if and butts about it... So I would assume and opener from 5-7, then PvD 7-10. The place holds 5,000 people so there will be plenty of room. Sound is quality too.
  4. Yeah I loved the pre-Twilo jitters...waiting in the mirrored hallway before paying for your tix. Everyone crammed in there, all that could be heard was the echoing beats from afar... I loved taking a lap early in the night when the place wasn't so full, get my bearings and realize this would be my home for the next 8+ hours.
  5. Before Twilo I had traveled around the world, not clubbing, but just to travel, live, and meet people. After moving to NY in July of '99 my friend was like 'oh you got to see Sasha and Digweed at Twilo' I had no clue what she was talking about. I had been searching for that same feeling living abroad for a year or so, but never found it. Twilo filled that void. The epitomie of my Twilo experience was Nov '00 for PvD's set. We were up in the VIP room, but it wasn't really a VIP room with bottle service and stuff, it was just another room with the same music so you didn't have to deal with the crowd. If you were close to the VIP room when it opened, you were in...that simple. No list, no big bouncer. Anyway, when the VIP room closed at 6 we made our way down to catch the rest of PvD's set. Being in that room for 6 hours you made some great friends, it was like your own little house party with PvD spinning. I grabbed my girlfriend (at that time) hand, she then grabbed my best friends hand, and before you knew it we had a line of 20 people holding hands making our way through the bar, down the stairs into the chill room and finally came to the main room. I felt like family, acually is was my family. Then to enter the main room with those neon beams racing around the edges of ceiling and the pulsating music coming from all sides of the room...my lord it was hard for me to believe a place like this existed, especially becaue I thought I'd seen it all. I wasn't around for Limelight or the Tunnel, but I feel so lucky that I was able to spend 2 or 3 Fridays a month for a whole year at Twilo. It's kind of like an immediate connection you have with someone when Twilo comes up, and the person has been there. Words can't describe it, as with everything else you would try to, but Twilo you just couldn't.
  6. don't know where to get it but PvD dropped it at the Roxy in November...sick track.
  7. Sorry dude, been to Float....and it sucks. Bottle Service crowd don't know shit about music.
  8. yeah this will be as sweet at Creamfields and the Mekka Tour...
  9. I read on the Arc board that he didn't show up... Az-tec or someone will confirm this. If he didn't, that SUCKS!!!
  10. Where on the site is it? Thanks... Andy, I'll see you there late night too...
  11. try craig's list. I don't know that addy, but I heard this is one of the best online apartment sites around.
  12. I was there last Friday night and it was a blast. Its not a very snooty club/lounge as a lot of the places in that neighborhood are, but a great place for a party. Plenty of couches for everyone to chill out, there is no real dance floor but once the music gets going you just dance where ever. Its not that big, but there is a back room with a bar that can easily fit 20 people for a private party. Friday night DJ spun 70's, 80's, and hip hop/R&B classics...everyone had a good time. As far as promoters go, I really don't think its that sort of place, or I've never heard of people promoting for it. IMO, its a fun lounge with a bar atmosphere. I think you can just call them to set it up. Enjoy!
  13. About the Crobar - there was an article in the Village Voice back in June saying that it will open this December. The space is literally across the street from Twilo - 28th bt 10th and 11th. They've been working on it since May. Its a multi-level club similar to SF, Phazon system (as all the Crobar's have), the main floor isn't as big as Twilo but a pretty good size, around 2,000+ person capacity. I also heard that Friday nights end at 6am Sat morning for some reason. As far as LL2, I just heard this past week that its opening up in November completely renovated. Das it. Pumped for the Crobar!
  14. Cheese, Anthem, Cheese, Anthem... I like the guy and seen him a few times, but there's only so many Anthem's you can hear in a set. But it would be perfect the the World crowd bc there's not once ounce of progressive soul in them.
  15. What's the best time to get there? I appreciate all your help...
  16. What's the Sat Liquid party like? (Music? People?) I have some friends meeting me from Ft. Lauderdale and we'll probably be looking for a place to chill...
  17. Thanks - What a choice - Timo or Aquaviva? Crobar has the Phazon right? If so, I'm there.
  18. I'll be in Miami for the weekend after a business conference. I'm sticking around and was wondering what party's there were... Thanks in advanced! :D :D
  19. I'll be in Miami for business and would spend the weekend if someone good was at Space, Crowbar, etc.... Do you know if any good parties that weekend? Cheers :D
  20. Just trying to solidify plans for this weekend...can ANYONE give me the details of where he is going to be. I have heard these three or no where at all.... Help. Thanks
  21. make sure you go 684 to 84 instead of the 95 death trap!
  22. I just talked to my buddy who promotes and its a special 3 hour set by PVD. I know 3 hours is WEAK in NYC standards, but its loooong for Boston. See everyone there! Its gonna be sick...
  23. Who is in Vegas? DC? LA? I heard its Sasha's B-day Sept. 2nd and its him, Diggers, Jimmy Van M and a surprise guest @ Space in Ibiza. Who is where?
  24. That sucks--I had friends coming out for it from Cali for it... Is the Vegas one cancelled also?
  25. I remember his story/graphic thing in April...got me so pumped for PVD. Myrlin can you change the date and venue and send it our way? Please!!! Cheers, Brandon
