so it's my friend's 21st b-day tomorrow and we are taking a lil road trip from boston to nyc to celbrate properly. the original plan set ages ago was the hit centro-fly and i know max graham is there so that still sounds pretty good. we are also considering vinyl - i think tenaglia is there tomorrow night, right? anything else anyone can suggest? we have to get my friend carded for fun and hook him up with a few b-day drinks - he doesn't usually drink at all! if you have any reccomendations please post or pm me! thanks! -sahar

you do research and get paid jack shite! especially if it is academic, if you workk in industry it's a lil better . . . not much though. if ya want the benjamins - you go to grad school and get a PhD if taht's yer thang or you go to med school (that's my plan). or you sell out and work in computers or consulting or i-banking. why, may i ask?

well usually to bug out . . . but hey hook-ups happen, don't usually look for them. not anymore at least, in my naivete in the beginning the attention was cool but after a few bad experiences no thanks! i'll give out my number, if they really want to get to know me they can call and chat and maybe i'll hang out with them later. as for in the club now i am usually fending off those aforementioned assholes though i know if i ever have the urge for a booty call i can dress up, head out to a club, and pick some guy up - he he he

well i still haven't found it! but i got de-banned from napster using a program found on www.nappytools.com i had to uninstall (i already had done this), use their "de-ban" program, and then reinstall and register as a new user! yeah i am napster-capable again, woo hoo!

so i was at a party in san francisco this summer and right when i was really getting my roll the dj spun this song that had the eurythmics sweet dreams in it and i went crazy! anyone know where i can find this? and unfortunately i got kicked off napster a while back for downloading a worthless song . . . please help.

personally i think ricky martin dresses really well, but too many guys think he looks like a homosexual, i don't care he's still incredibly hot. i guess for that look you can go to Armani Exchange or Banana Republic or Kenneth Cole. Then again Abercrombie guys are hot too, you know the cargos and some ribbed sweater deal (but too hot for clubbing!). i think UFOs look ok, esp for ravin' but ever since my friend showed me how some turn into backpacks i laugh at them - they amuse me we rip on him and ask'm when he'd use that cause if you turn them into a backpack then you aren't wearing any pants - lol!

how funny! i have a friend coming to the east coast from san francisco to NYC and i am heading there from boston. there is a big d n'b party on the 28th called holiday bass party, it's at Limelight and it's like $25 advance $30 at door. according to my friend there are super dope, crazy junglists there (e.g mickey finn, aphrodite, FX, etc . . . )- i knowvery lil about the genre but i always have fun with my friend! as for <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/newyearseve/">new year's </a> in boston i've never gone to a club for it, usually go to a concert: like phish or aerosmith. this year i think bare naked ladies are playing and it's sold out so you'd have to pay a lot to get tix and they aren't worth it. you can try axis or avalon the big clubs on lansdowne st. there are other trendier clubs that might be cool too, depends on what you want. if you want to there is an email list <bostonparties@egroups.com> that you can add yerself to and maybe hear about some good parties, though i am warning you decent amount of traffic on it (so do it in digest form) and lately stupid drama going on in the posts. hope that helps!

wow! a lot of info. i wasn't trying to start a war though, just give a basis of comparison because i doubt ya'll have been to too many clubs here in boston and most suck and are really small. there is a really cool latin/salsa club but that is besides the point. but i gotta say seeing pvd here at Axis in november was amazing specifically cause it was a small venue . . . that up-close and personal feel. hi, i'm from boston so i don't know too much about the NYC scene so i have a few questions - i hope someone can help me out so i have been to Exit once before (this past fall), how does it compare to Twilo? i am planning to go to Twilo this Friday to see S&D - what should i expect (any info on dress, <A HREF="http://www.clubplanet.com/guestlists/" TARGET="_blank"> guestlists</A> etc . . .)? how does one obtain a twilo card and how useful is it? and what clubs do people recommend for New Year's Eve? I have a friend coming from San Francisco, who is much more into this scene - so i want to give him some options for fun stuff to do that night. I was thinking twilo, but i guess he's not crazy about Junior . . . . please help me out with my infantile queries. thanks & hugz
