  1. roses had live bands on washington back in the day.. sick live bands in fact... that was a really wicked place..
  2. old school south beach in this order: GROOVEJET THE KITCHEN BASH south florida - GROOVEJET The EDGE generic soul events! all over - groovejet Aahzz simons now thats for florida - worldwide?? groovejet the kitchen (bono's club in dublin ireland) tie for 3rd - tribehouse (dusseldorf germany) & renaissance
  3. wow...forgot the kitchen... that place was awsome.. many a night spent in that venue although groovejet still stands way above any place anwhere for me!
  4. you are right but at least he was driving the lane, playing d, and was able to walk unlike damon jones. he was also distributing the ball and giving energy to the team when needed then pulled for the injured guy. just bad coaching in my opinion. thought keyon was playing well and would have given us a stronger chance. thought zo would have given us a better inside D if he was allowed to play more than 10 minutes also.... oh well, whats done is done but we were just overcoached not over matched in my opinion
  5. ok... here are my thoughts on the issue... first off, although I am disapointed in the loss. the heat went the furthest we have in franchise history so congrats to that... congrats to the pistons also. you guys won the east two yrs in a row.. thats big! I think they will have some trouble with the spurs though.. now on to last nights game, the series in general, the loss and vangundy's moves last night...uggh! We should have won that game without question. Without injuries we would have taken that series in 5 maybe 6 as the heat were clearly the better team. The officiating last night was horrible as it was the entire series. This is the playoffs! let the guys play basketball for godsake. anyways big props to wade for playing through his injury and to shaq for doing all that could be imagined of the big fella last night... plain and simple we lost last night because of awfull coaching. We can all play monday morning coach but come on vangundy. Lets start with the obvious. Wade was hurt. van gundy made no substitutions till 2 minutes left in the first quarter. wade should have played in 4 - 5 minute incriments leaving him with energy for the 4th quarter. Keyon dooling should have played more. I don't know what game you were watching danny but there was a point where the boy took over. he distributed the ball well, shot the ball well and played defense unlike damon jones. Damon got hurt in the first and never got back in rhythm. he didn't make a single shot and can't play good D on two legs let alone on one. Now someone tell me why the guy with no points and one leg still played the starters minutes instead of the guy producing, distributing the ball, and PLAYING D? second question, why on earth in a game of this magnatude with neither shaq nor zo in serious foul trouble did zo only play 10 minutes? why was he not in there alongside of shaq in the crucual moments? udonis played a great game but is to small when rasheed posted up on him... that would not have been the case if zo got more minutes or even laetner for that matter who his much taller then udonis. would have totally changed the rhythm of the game in the paint and limited rasheed and mcdyess by putting bigger bodies on them. here is the final and most crucial question. shaq played great last night. shaq played with energy and was leading the team to victory in the 4th quarter. when the ball went down low to him they had no answer. we were leading with 5 minutes to play now its obvious to me that the offense should have run through the big man on every possesion with us up by 7 near games end. through the ball to the big guy he draws the double then he either breaks through it or throughs it out to the open guy... commen sense tells you what should have been done yet the heat never got the ball to the main guy down the stretch giving us our best chance to keep the lead wade played so hard to give us. I don't blame the players I blame vangundy for horrible player substitution and horrible play calling down the stretch on top of bad officiating. I disagree with the comments that we would have had a hard time with the spurs. we match up well against them and would have given them a much better fight then the pistons injured or not... i think san antonio in 5 or 6 tops but i guess we'll see.... bottom line - we had the chance to win the east, we should have won the east, boo on vangundy for last night but I guess there's next year! will be interesting to see who comes back and who else we pick up... GO HEAT

He will amaze you with his mixing skills and soulful house and funky dirty beats. this is a do not miss event.. see you all on the 18th @ gryphon
  8. "ladies and gentlemen, stand up and make some noise for your miami heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat!" agreed, series will go to seven. hats off to detroit last night for playing an exceptional game in all areas. Definitely a few shakey calls by the officials last night though. very promising considering how well detroit played though. The heat were in the game with the exception of when shaq and zo were sidelined due to foul trouble. doleiac couldn't stop anything and when that lineup featuring him at center was in was when detroit ran the score up. If the big guys can stay out of foul trouble I think its a different outcome then last night.. thats my one knock on vangundy. Obviously he couldn't feat zo and shaq together due to foul trouble but in a game like that play zo even with 4 in the fourth quarter and when or if he fouls out bring in the big fella.... with both those guys on the bench the heat don't stand a chance and in games of this magnatude I'd rather us have a shot and see zo or even shaq foul out trying rather than doleiac who couldn't seem to stop a fly! tomorrow is a new game - lets go heat!
  9. ladies and gentlemen - stand up and make some noise for your miami heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat!
  10. eddie jones... rasul butler - entire heat team.... this thread couldn't be more relevent.... eddie jones dominating with dwade on the bench deep in the 4th. dwade dominating as usual and shaq looking more shaqlike... the heat won its most important game up to date in heat history... bring on the next - go heat! this is absolutely amazing... no matter what the outcome this is wonderfull. can't wait for tomorrow night....so happy i have tix for thurs
  11. 24 hrs till tipoff.. can't fucking wait... go heat!
  12. agreed.... sunday is a must win... we need eddie, damon, and keyon to all step up and hit some shots along with shaq, zo, a dwade obviously.... I think we can do it!
  13. i have faith in our boys... I think the heat does play team ball and I think we are much deeper then detroit. they really just use a 7 or 8 man rotation tops. besides mcdyess and oroyo they really don't have much of a bench. I mean elden cambell plays but how old is he 40? with us I am confident that we could play 12 deep and still have top guys on the floor. we consistantly use a 10 man rotation and the two guys not playing now are steve smith and shanndon anderson who are both awsome. I'd love to know why shandon lost all his minutes actually. bottom line - the heat are a better team than the lakers team the pistons beat last yr and the the pistons of this year are nowhere near as deep as last years world champs - nobody says it will be easy but I have faith in the boys... and you guys keep saying we're only wade and shaq? did you guys forget the 12 or 13 games we played without the big fella? think we won at least 8 of them.... that means team ball... thats what the heat is all about.. GO HEAT!
  14. only a few weeks away... hooray! glad we were able to do this together vaughan... will be like the old days!
  15. agreed... the eddie chants were awsome. I am so happy the crowd realized how valuable he is.. I also forgot one BIG point... the heat have the best road record in the east, 2nd best in the NBA - bring it on detroit! we're not the number one seed for nothing... we can do this as long as the guys stay focused and play team ball!
  16. are you kidding me with some of these comments? no offense to jimmy or meng.. by the way, how are you guys? long time no speak... anyways, agreed that udonis needs to pick up his game. truthfully he's over matched and over sized at the 4 spot by detroit and we are better playing zo and shaq side by side and even better size wize with laetner in the game at some points then udonis although the boy can rebound. As for rasul??? I was at the game last night and I thought he did a wonderful job when needed due to others in foul trouble. he made some big baskets and played fine defensively. one question though, what happened to shanndon anderson? he was such a big part of our game during the season and he's gotten no minutes during the playoffs?? bit strange.. now here is where people in south florida piss me off... Eddie Jones played awsome last night. he may not have scored a ton of points but he plays amazing defense and true team ball. he gaurded rip most of the night and if you look at the box score rip had 20 points or so but needed 25 shots to get that?? i think he was 8 of 25 shooting?? to me that screams good job Eddie. Eddie is our team captain and we would not be as good without him on the floor on a nightly basis. he can shoot although streaky, he always plays D and he has expirience. I hate when people bitch about eddie jones - he is the man! - i do wish he'd make some more shots but as long as one of the jonses is hitting shots we're all good. As for slowing the game down???? why on earth would we do that? detroit plays that way with their size and we can beat them running the floor and not allowing them to set up their "d". if the fast break isn't there through it inside to shaq or zo and either they score or wait for the double and then back outside to dwade or any of the others. I've been to several games in detroit in my day also and I think our arena and crowd is a tougher place to play then the palace. I think we have a good shot to at least take one and if we do that its anyone's game.... i think if the series goes 6 i give the nod to detroit on their home court but if it goes 7 or even less good luck to detroit beating us in our home arena on a series deciding game. The rust from game one is gone! especially with the crowd energy we have going right now- the red zone is sick - GO HEAT! - its great to see miami finally rally around the heat and give them the respect they deserve....
