  1. No fair!!! I wanna be off work! Well, at least I got a raise this year. Should be enough to buy an extra bottle of water at Buzz every week.
  2. Sleeping! I plan on catching up on the billion hours of sleep I missed out on last year! Zzzzz.......
  3. I did some work on determining whether gun laws decrease gun violence. Guess what I found? On average, there was zero effect. In some places, there was a slight decrease in crime, but in other places there was actually a slight increase! So, our money and time would be better spent trying to decrease violence through other means, in my opinion!
  4. Let's see, from what I remember, Feelgood was awesome - even though the music was a little loud and hurt my ears. I was supposed to meet about 10 other people down at the Edge, but they thought it would be a better idea to throw a freakn' party at MY house! I came home to a living room full of black lights, glow sticks and crack heads! Grrrr! But I can't compling - this was definitely my best New Year's Eve ever! Blew last year in Miami out of the water!
  5. Hey Girl! How was your New Year's Eve! PM or call me when you get a chance so we can talk about WMC and other stuff!
  6. Thanks, but no thanks. I'd rather roll around on broken glass in the nude and then take a shower in rubbing alcohol.
  7. Th: Sasha Fri: Alex Whalen and Dave Ralph - I was soooo tired I couldn't stay for Fortier, was he good? Sat: Tried to get into the Blue Room - but they have a no jeans policy on the weekends. Bastards! So we went over to Heaven for some extra cheese. I hate to admit it - but I had a blast! Sun: Sleep Mon:?????????
  8. My list: 1) Be more patient. 2) Cut down on the partying and get more sleep. 3) Spin some records without trainwrecking. 4) Remember to work on my mind, body AND spirit.
  9. I think I have my friends convinced to go to Rocket. Glow is probably going to be mad packed, so I'd rather not go there. Shady's would be fine if we could recruit some more women, which is doubtful considering you guys keep scaring them all off!
  10. I just PMd you - did you get it?
  11. GOOD LUCK!!!! I hope to be in mangledesh myself on New Year's Eve!
  12. ME TOO!!!! The director of my center just came in and found me totally chair dancing! Ha! So much for calling in sick tomorrow!!!
  13. Awww, I missed you scumbags! Hope y'all had a nice holiday! Anyway, I'm up for a pre/post party at my house - I've already cleared it with the roomies. We'll see if anyone is still standing at 6am! If people want to meet at my house ahead of time - that's cool. I'd like to leave by at least 9:30pm, though. Any takers?
  14. Pass the dollar bill, I need another BUMP before I leave on vacation! See you suckahs later!!!!

    ????

Do I think it will change? Of course - I expect it will evolve and become a very different beast from the one we know today. Just check out the difference between old skool Chicago House and what we're listening to now! But, I think I disagree with some on the board about whether or not becoming more mainstream is bad for this genre of music. I'm mainstream and my world has been completely changed by this type of music and scene. Who are we to deny that possibility to someone else? I mean, we can make fun of "fairy trance" all we want - but that's what got me hooked. Oakenfold was a beginning for me. At any rate, there will always be an underground sound too complicated to be understood by the masses, so those interested in excluding those not intelligent enough to understand the music needn't worry. Personally, I hope everyone gets to hear a set like Danny Howell's played on Labor Day at least once in their lives. Even the ones who will never understand what it means. My .02 for what it is worth!
  16. Awww! *wipes away tears* You guys are too sweet!
  17. I'd like to fuck Beckham! Oh shit - did I just say that out loud??
  18. Don't laugh - you'd be amazed what a little meditation combined with a few illegal substances can do for you!
  19. There's something sexy about vinyl, isn't there?

    Hey Vixen

This from the guy who makes Cheesecake to rival Martha Stewart and who (and I'm quoting here) "Spreads the love and joy" in his office on a regular basis? And don't get me started on the fairy dust....
  21. Every year I make the same resolution - to become more patient. Every year I get a little more patient, but believe me, it could still use some work! I think the year 2002 will be the year of the mind, body AND spirit. I've really worked on getting the first 2 healthy, but sadly the last has been sorely neglected. Clubbing as a religion only takes you so far!
