By far the best event we've had at Opium Garden since WMC. Too many names to name but everyone we hoped for and more turned up for our B'day bash. Huge thanks to the boys for storming sets both inside and outside. Seems that Matt B has learned to scratch rather well lately, as well as working the Rane in some rather inventive ways. Highlight of the night: 4am - Bushwacka throws on a kickass track, and him and Todd the lighting guy jump over the front and back of the booth to dance to it. The only downside is it gave the management an opportunity to turn it down, but it was still classic. Thanks to all who came, and to answer the question I heard 20 times, yes we will bring them back soon

Hands down the best event we've had at Opium since WMC, both in terms of music and crowd. Oscar - we all know how the door at any busy club can be, and I did warn about that yesterday. That's not something that's exclusive to Opium Garden. I personally stood on the door myself until 12.30 to make sure everyone got taken care of, and there are quite a few CP peeps who can vouch for that. I'm sorry you had problems - you have my cell # and next time you come to one of our events just call me. Aside from that though the place was busier than I've seen it a long time, and 99% of people had a blast. We couldn't have wished for a better B'day party!

Just one piece of advice - PLEASE get there as early as you can. The door for our last event got very crazy from around 11.30-1.30 and I don't want you guys missing out. I'll be at the door early and it's easier for me to help you out when it's not insane.

Just dropped the guys off at the hotel. They're really psyched to be playing an outdoor gig - they've never been in Opium Garden before. See you there...

Just look for the lights - No Cover will also be fiming in that area...

Upscale doesn't have to mean compromised music quality. A good example would be the events we do at Opium Garden - upscale venue and great music. Add in a very high end sound and light system and I think the venue can appeal to a wide range of clientele. I think there's more than enough space for Nocturnal, Space, and other clubs to flourish downtown - it's crucial that there is more than one venue in that area to encourage more people to make the trip.

That's OK - last time around someone thought 'Layo Bushwacka' was one guy...
