i dunno it depends on the person that sez it... some ppl might just get a song and to another person it might be old.. but i think an old track is when its about 1 month or 1 & 1/2 month old... but i really dont think that when a song gets old its no good anymore... maybe the energy might not be but the skill involved in a track will never go away... :D

u have to get a plug with both "male" sides... just like the plug u use for your headphones.. but both sides the same... then attach one to your sound card behind your computer... (the plug u would use for a microphone)... then plug the other end into your stereo... (the plug you would use for headphones)... get a program that records (ex. sound forge, cool edit 2000,...) and press record... and ure done... hop this helps
