  1. Haven't done this in a while but here is a list of songs that I'm feeling at the moment. Some a few months old, some brand spanking new, but all in my opinion phat. Feel free to respond with your tracks. 1. Plummet - Damaged (somehow this songs invokes feelings in me that I can't describe... maybe I'm getting in touch with my feminine side...) 2. Cloudbust - Kowpwefresse (Silent harmony mix) (Various versions out there, I found them all to be the same) 3. harry Choo romero - Beats vol 2 (when this came out, i didn't like it. Heard it at a club and now I can't get over the part where he says: I just can't believe all the things people say, why must I deal with this shit every fucking day) 4. ?? - Indian Requiem (arne & Mirko) (Starts out funky and groovy and then breaks into a really hardcore beat) 5. Jimmy Midnight - Face Off (Trance, but at a speed you can dance to. One theme that repeats itself throughout the entire song.. You can get sick of it if you listen to a really long mix) 6. Jars Of Clay - Flood (Junior Vasquez Club Mix) (already a few months old but the original has a special place in my heart... Phat track esp when you are in the depressed mood a day or two after E) 7. Balloon - MonsterSound 2001 (Club Version) (For those of you who know the original, here is a slightly new take of it... Nirvana Rocks!!) 8. Psycho meda - crash (a ton of cheese all in one track, but you know what!! I still dig the cheesiness of this track) 9. Vicious - Pfeifenalarm (balloon remix) (heres another phat re-take of a classic tune..) 10. Celeste Prince - hard mix (haha this one belongs on KTU) Hope you guys enjoy my little breakdowns of tracks. -Guy
  2. I know its kind of late but can anyone give me the name of any guestlist thats good at exit on Sat nights? -Guy
  3. A week has come and a week has gone, and yet my barnes and noble order for Silent Nick - Palladio is still in progress. Im suprised I wasn't given the big let down yet.. but until it's in my hands there is little I can do. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst -Guy
  4. CDNOW, says its on backlog for both vinyl and CD format but on barnesandnoble.com you can buy it and it should ship in 1 - 2 weeks. At least thats the claim. I ordered it now its time to cross my fingers.
  5. The lights spelling out XTC in mose code I can see... As for the music sucking and then getting good again, I believe that is total trash. Have you ever been to Ibiza? People dance for a full week without any rest and here you are suggesting that they need rest every two or so hours. The chairs and the spinal cord?? I don't know if that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard or the most paranoid thing I've ever heard. Personally when tripping, I have a hard time keeping myself at the upright and locked position so even if the chairs were designed to screw with your head, it wouldn't effect me.
  6. Listen, what I've learned in life is that someone can tell you what something is a million times and you wont get it to work. Play with it!!! Cool edit is one of the best programs to edit tracks, its a bit complex to use but if you don't "break it" a few times you'll never learn all the neat things that you can do with it. I suggest you open up a small wav file and see what kind of crazy shit you can do with it.
  7. In terms of CD's... I'm really a pretty big fan of anything by DJ Taucher. Also theres a set called New Yorks Deepest hardest house floating around. It used to be pure house but now it's slowly turning into trance. Anyway thats a pretty phat collection as well.
  8. theres a few good ones. Hotbot is really good cause U can just type the lyrics into it and it will search. Altavista has even more results but you have to fool around with Boolean expressions. Google is good but it filters out porn sites, warez sites and yes sometimes even sites with lyrics on them..
  9. I just pop the line or two that I know into a search engine and usually the song with the full lyrics come out.

  12. Ok went to exit tonight heard a lot of phat shit. If anyone can give me a playlist that will be hot. Anyway 1. what mix of "Why must I deal with this shit every fuckin day" did they play? 2. Was it just me or did they play an old school version of Everybody by Progress? 3. Heard Final Chapter tonight... Was that the remix? Sounded very similar to original. 4. I heard this song with a woman in the background singing "ohhh... " in kind of an Opera style. Lousy description but does anyone know? 5. Now heres a kicker... I heard this really phat vocal. Thats pretty much all I remember I was completely tripping my ass off at this point. Anyone know what it was? Sorry I didn't make it to the meetup. I was actually looking foreward to seeing what some of you guys looked like. I had one of the most fantastic trips of my life. It's also going to be the last trip of my life. I'm going clean!! -Guy
  13. Black spider - Save your life Original is very hot or the remix Black Spider - Save your life (warp bros remix) is also hot and has actual guitar sampled into the song. Make sure U check both out!!

  16. ... We all start somewhere... its where we end up thats important.
  17. Small list is off the hook, If you guys are on AOL let me know and I can try and arrange an "autoforeward" where I send everything I get from the mailing list to you.
  18. there are various websites that offer "Free online harddrives" That would be my first guess. Another thing U could do is find someone with an ftp server and you can throw it in there. If the file is an MP3 file (You can always rename it to .mp3 and leave renaming instruction), you can stick it in www.mp3.com The last alternative that I can think up is either zip the file or split the file. winzip can make the file smaller. and if you go to cnet.com search for file splitters and you can break up the file to like 10 small files that can reattach themselves. If you have more questions on any of the alternatives feel free to post them. -Guy
  19. For those of you who want it and dont have it I finally I got a version and a crack to go along with it. Drop me an Email at aguy2go@aol.com and I'll hook ya up. -Guy Before I forget!! Offer is valid for one week MAX. Don't come to me 6 months from now asking for it.
  20. SICKTRACKS is STILL down. Makes me want to
  21. A lot of the tracks listed on top I've heard on KTU. Safri Duo, ATB (Yes I've heard it at least once). Theres more just cant think of em right this second.
  22. Well I'll draw the picture for you. You request a song from Audiogalaxy and they look for the fastest possible connection for you to download from. Thus if Bella and I are sharing the song you are searching for and I am set to high she is set to low. You will download from me. However if only Bella is sharing the song you will download it from her. Thus when downloading from someone with a fast connection you will download at 60000 bps where as if downloading from someone with a slow connection you will download at 6000bps. -Guy
  23. Don't know why but it seems as if the hottest songs @ Exit are already beginning to float around KTU. Anyone else feel this way? -Guy
  24. It sounds legit. My question is how are they going to stop us from Ripping tracks and thus removing all the garbage they added by encoding? Guess we will just have to wait till some of us pick up a few of these encoded CDs. -Guy
