I am coming up to Boston and Salem next week-end, and I am looking for some ideas on things to see and do. I plan on hitting up Avalon - Is that the best club up there right now? I am also looking for things to do during the day - good restaurants, sites to see, etc. If anyone can be of some help, please let me know. Thanks again! Stacie

i'm from philly, and i am going (i'm a female). i am sure it will be a mixed crowd tomorrow night, if that is your concern. a lot of my straight guy friends are going. beware, though, he will probably only spin for about 2 hours. the club closes at 3:30. i haven't been inside since they have renovated it, but i hear it is nice. have fun!

First time up to Spirit. I don't know if it is the crowd that JP attracts or what, but most of the people that I encountered were the rudest bunch of assholes I have ever met. The club is nice, the shows were good, and the music was great, but the crowd blew. They may have had energy, but they have no manners.

My best friend is 37, and I am 28. We live in Philly and her age has never been an issue on where we go. Just tell her to relax and have a good time. Most people don't give a shit about that, so why should she?

My friends & I are coming up to Spirit next Saturday night from Philly. Is there a dresscode? Are sneakers and/or jeans ok? Anyone know of any guestlists? Thanks. Stacie

I have been there once, and we got there too early (1 am). A friend hasn't been there yet, so we are going up Saturday night. What time is the best time to get there? How late does it normally go? What's the normal cover? Please no bashing comments. I know the story on the place, and I will take Arc almost any night over it. However, I want my friend to get a chance to experience the place. I come up to NY fairly regularly to the clubs, but this week-end I am coming up with a few girlfriends on Saturday. We are spending the day in the city, and I am looking for recommendations on a few nice lounges & bars to go to at night before we hit a club or two. It is my best friend's birthday, and we went to try something a little different. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! How can you leave at 2:30 and say the night sucked? That is like leaving a movie 10 minutes into it and saying it was dumb. I thought the night was great. Loved Sharam's set - Always a lot of energy. I absolutely loved the P.Diddy track. To hear that live I can only imagine is pretty sick. They will be in Philly in June, and I definitley will be seeing them again soon. Stacie

Crowd might not be that bad. It is the same night as SF's Anniversary Party. I bet a lot more people will be at that. I know me and my girls are coming up for DD, and we can't freaking wait!!!!! Stacie

I don't normally post, but I definitely have something to say about this. First - My best friend is 35, going on 36 this year. She is one of the most responsible people that I know, but she has no kids or husband. Should she be staying in on the week-ends or doing something that she doesn't enjoy just because she is a tad bit older than a stereotypical clubber? I think not. She can dance circles around most people - no matter what age. She loves the music (and I stress the music - not the drugs) - why the hell shouldn't she go out? Second - Most of the DJs out there are older. I don't hear the person who started this thread talking shit on the DJs. Should they not be making or spinning music? Third - I love the music. I am going out in my 20s, and damn straight I hope I can keep going out until my 50s. I give mad props to the people that can still hold their own on the dance floor.
