  1. tom why do you have tom and katie in your signature? and why do you have my favorite movie as your avatar? and why do you suck so bad? and why dont you just go on a boston message board? and how come when i was in boston i didnt even see you?

    response:

Hi, I'm not Tom, I'm Brian. But I do know Tom, and you're right, he sucks! I don't know why though... I guess it's just the old duder's way.

Hopefully I can answer your other questions though.

why do you have tom and katie in your signature?

Because I find pictures of scientologists grabbing the arm of their much younger bride-to-be while she looks on in terror inspirational. Some people like pictures of Eagles that say words like "Determination" above them and some inane phrase underneath. Me, I got my inspiration from scientologists.

and why do you have my favorite movie as your avatar?

Because The Big Lebowski is the greatest movie ever made. The Dude abides, and so do I. Now take 'er easy

and why do you suck so bad?

I think you have me confused with Tom. Tom sucks... bad. We'll have to work with him on that.

and why dont you just go on a boston message board?

Have you ever been to a Boston messageboard?? Scary. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy... though I might wish it on Tom.

and how come when i was in boston i didnt even see you?

It's probably because you don't know me. If I did know you, maybe I'd see you. Hell, maybe we've seen each other and just didn't know it. I hang out with Tom most every weekend, so if you've ever seen him up here, there's a damn good chance you've seen me.

That's all I got. Hope that clears things up a bit. Sorry for the signature, not sorry for the avatar. I'll tell Tom you said hi!

  2. Just a heads up for a free event we're doing in NYC this weekend. Thats right just RSVP and you're in. I went down last week to check out Movida, and it's fast becoming THE NYC hotspot. Matt Damon was there, NAS, the actress from that movie 'Hitch' (i dont remember her name) and few others... It's a sexy joint, with a killer sound system. Hope some of you can make it down.

Let's just say these people have been doing stuff that really BUZZED this year, if ya know what I mean...

Angel Moraes is currently supporting several of our tracks and has given me very favorable reviews thus far, so has Alex S. (Buzzin Fly) and a few others...

    Forthcoming titles include:

"Fevah," "Sangria Samba," "New China Hustle," and more.... From Disco-infused house, to Iberican flavored, seminal deep house, we're going to be working to put out quality house music that evokes emotion & soul.

I will keep you all posted as things progress, but you'll be hearing a lot more Plastic Sex this summer...

FRIDAY APRIL 22: Boston's own Joe Mama opens up for

The Low End Specialists and Tym Ryan is in the Lounge

    LES.jpg

The Low End Specialists are the NYC based duo of Ali Geramian & Mac C

Since meeting in 2000, Mac & Ali come a long way in a blindingly short time. From their very first official remix - of DJ Vibe & Rui Da Silva's classic 'So Get Up - to work for the likes of Bedrock and Yoshitoshi, Mac C and Ali have delivered tough 21st century tribal house, with a progressive international flavor.

Before the LES, Mac was already one of NY's well-known DJ's, a Sound Factory resident and regular guest of Danny Tenaglia's at his legendary Be Yourself night at Vinyl. Ali was an up and coming producer and DJ, but it wasn't until the pair met through mutual friends four years ago that the seed for the Low End Specialists was planted.

With their remix of the Underground Sound Of Lisbon's classic 'So Get Up' (Kaos) came the breakthrough that many producers hope for. The track received support from Satoshi Tomiie, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler and was featured by John Digweed on his KissFM radio show. They've since remixed the likes of Danny Tenaglia & Steve Lawler including a remix of Fierce Ruling Diva's 'You Gotta Believe' (React), which was rinsed out by the entire A-list of tribal progressive house and eventually found its way on to Satoshi Tomiie's NuBreed album for Global Underground. Mac and Ali's original productions have been just as well received, with Deep Dish charting 'Smoked Piece' (Hydrogen Records) at #4, and requesting the duo's unique sound for several remixes including the now-classic 'Dub Me Sometin' Fresh' by the 6400 crew.

This is the second time LES have played at RISE. With Joe Mama opening and Tym Ryan in the lounge, you know we're going to have a great night.
