"Shake" DT is getting hot again (they were falling out the doors in 120 degree Vinyl Fri Night) Anyway, without a doubt the hottest NY DJ is Satoshi Tomie. No Question.

Its a tourist trap kinda place. It depends what u like.

Without question Totonno in Coney Island. It's not even as good as it used to be and it's still by far the best in the world. L&B (spumoni gardens) kicks ass too. BTW - Deep Dish / great dj's...crappy pizza. Chicago has alot of things better than NY but pizza aint one of them.

DT spins every friday @ VINYL (if he's not they give you plenty of notice) Dress like your gonna spend the day @ the beach cause no kiddin - it's real hot. (although they did upgrade A/C a little) From your post it doesn't seen like it matters to you but VINYL does not serve alcohol. They have cleaned the place up alot since Twilo got shut down. No glowsticks or flashlights. By around 3 or 4 VINYL begins to resemble a prison dance.

Normally I would rather have my eyelids taped open and be forced to watch Oprah for 8 hours straight than go anywhere near Exit or Soundfactory. However, I think I'll make an exception for Kimball Collins and Sean Cusick this Fri. Does anybody know if there's a dress code on Fridays @ S.F? BTW, anyone else partaking? I gotta hype up my gang.

You guys should be happy that the scene is still so "underground" here. New wave and electronica were never that popular in the US. We have this sick need to have idols and "stars" in this country and thats not what the scene is about. By the way, you can see Oakey this weekens for 100 bucks. Is that what you want? But you probably say he's a SELLOUT. I'd rather see an 8 hour Jimmy Van M., or DT or DH set and shake their hand when their done. Keep it real.

Webster Hall is the same nightclub that everyone goes to when you go on vacation. Every city has a Webster Hall. If all the tourists were at your favorite club you would hate that. Exit really does suck. See reasons above.

Vinyl needs way more A/C or somebody is gonna die in there. DT tears it up and whips the boys and girls into a hot sweaty frenzied mess on friday's and makes it the best "After Hours" party in NYC on Friday's. At least they don't rip you off drinks (no alcohol) WEAR SHORTS

You probably know this already, but Sasha has a residency at Space in Ibiza for Summer 2001 and is probably not coming to North America until the Fall. Lose weight fast - dance at VINYL on a friday night for twenty minutes and lose 10 pounds. It's 100 degrees outside and 150 inside. Good luck on Friday Night to all hard core DT people. How bout raising cover to $30 and buy some better air conditioning.

Raise the cover to $25 on Friday's to pay for more Air Conditioning at Vinyl. $5 extra works out to only an extra 50 cents an hour for DT's amazing 10 hour sets. Sounds like a good deal to me!!!

Jury's out on new soundfactory, but anyone who witnessed sean cusick tear it up on the paddlewheel queen a couple weeks ago should make sure to be there 8/17. *boycott crappy DJ's*
