  1. Centro door policy has sucked lately. I went for Timo Maas, and the bouncers were whispering to me that my friends and I should bribe them or we would never get in (got in like 30 mins later after extreme pushing). Cool venue, but it's lost it's vibe and drinks are way too fucking expensive too. There are definitely better places, like Vinyl, for example, and some smaller cool places that I am going to be giving my business to instead of Centro. TO those who were hoping to go, you should definitely go -- you gotta at least try it and see for yourself.
  2. Try Orchard Bar (Houston and Orchard St.) or Leopard Lounge (2nd ave and 5th street). Both places have good music on Friday but are pretty chill places.
  3. Go anywhere from June to mid September. That's when the shit goes down over there.
  4. Yeah, Ive been there -- its not a bad happy hour place, but definitely don't go there for the music. It's more of a frat boy type of joint, the upstairs is definitely cooler.
  5. graduated a few yerars back from Rollins College in Fl. Total country club -- had a good time. Anyone heard of it?
  6. This is gonna kick ass! It's my birthday saturday and I'm gonna be feeling good... Vinyl is the answer, and there's definitely no dress code whatsoever - I think it closes at 9
  7. Yes -- hes at Space next weekend -- you are so lucky... Go here: http://www.naughtybooth.com/board/calendar.php?action=getinfo&eventid=264
  8. People who find sanctuary in clubs (like me), naturally aren't going to like policies against what we like to do. However, I don't think "anybody would've done the same thing". He has handled this situation extremely well, especially in getting NY going again in so short a period of time after the attacks. Also, there's no denying that he's done a great job of running the city over the last few years -- this is unquestionably a better city to live in than it was 5 or 10 years ago. Should he be allowed to run for a 3rd term? It would be a violation of the law, but these aren't rational times either. I don't know much about the other candidates, but I wouldn't have as much faith in them making this a good city for me to live in as much as rudy. Besides, despite the crap policies, there are still some very good places to party here.
  9. I think he's done a good job the last couple of weeks, but it doesn't bode well for NYC club culture if he stays for a third term.....
  10. DT is the answer!!! No doubt about this one, DT @ Vinyl
  11. I agree -- if you're into the Music this is a no brainer -- MIA for sure
  12. Anybody going to Yost@centro or the Williamsburg roof party tonite? :D
