  1. sat night was awesome, but not quite as banging as labor day, which counts as 1 of my top 3 nights of 2001 (along w/ satoshi tomiie and the twilo fire night). long long buildup from 12:30am to maybe 4 or so, then some hard tribal beats, long long drawn out techy intros and teasers, back to the banging beats i love so much, and then finished up the last couple hours with some lighter housier sounds. as always, great vibe and crowd - it's always such a reunion for me, seeing a ton of my clubbing buds. and post-partying and such. damn, i came THIS CLOSE to getting to talk 1-on-1 to DH - met some DH agent/mgr/publicist guy who was psyched that i went for DH fri and sat and got me in the booth for a little bit. but no chance to talk to the man - boo. he was the cutest thing, though. :)
  2. i think GU is coming out by the end of this month
  3. tu es torte, tu es une fou!!!!! (ou peut-etre une foulle? j'ai oublie)
  4. Red: too small; has good music from what I hear does have good music, at least on thurs and sun's, but yeah, very small Platinum: heard it's not as good as it used to be (don't really know); sometimes plays cheese i.e. Z104 crap; 18 + i've heard the same, i believe it's only 18+ on thurs, 21+ the rest of the time but i could be wrong The Spot: don't know much about it; Louie DeVito NYC Underground CD Release Party that night; co-worker told me it's "a club for the brothers" (don't know what he meant by that) mmm, it's a big space lots of different floors, one floor for house, but that floor is not big enough, i felt claustrophobic. your co-worker was prolly referring to the mass of people who are there primarily for the hiphop music Club Heaven: went a year ago and was good; don't know how popular it is now; don't know what music is played crowd stinks, sat's are not bad, but it's sketchy Andalu/Sesto Senso: plays house?; small; don't know about what type/number people go there not sure, heard it's small and an international crowd Lulu's: Went on a Friday awhile ago and the DJ sucked; don't know if it has changed though no no no no - you don't want to go there Zei Club: plays techno; don't know about what type/number people go there ew, i wouldn't recommend, packed, full of thugs considering all your comments, there aren't really any great options i can think of. i guess the closest would be platinum - big space, house music, less of a thug crowd than some of the others. this is like choosing the lesser b/t 2 evils.... hope this helps
  5. je vais aller a la discotheque pour le dieu "danny howells"
  6. no, i was quite sober, thank you very much!!!!
  7. heehee, yeah kuro's smile could not have gotten any bigger. i think he fell in love fri night...
  8. hahaha, funny you should ask. my buds and i ended up there sat night for a non-clubber-friend's bday, and being as i had low low low expectations for the night, i was pleasantly surprised!!! the dj is a friend of malanee's, and he dropped some fun tracks, such as DM - I feel loved (DT labor of love mix) Aiio - Rapture (Creamer/K mix) Brancaccio & Aisher - Lovely Day KOT - Finally [aack, forgot group, maybe New Order] - Sweet Dreams and of course madonna but it was a much better time than i expected. crowd sucks, but we had a great group of us, like 10 -15, so it didn't matter. yannis spins on sat nights, it's only $5, so if there are no other options, it's a last resort. just don't go expecting anything great, though, in terms of music.
  9. Sono - Keep Control Dan Robbins - DBD (Madam remix) PQM - You Are Sleeping Aiio - Rapture (Creamer/K) Nat Monday - Waiting a few more but i forgot a fun set, as in fun tracks that i like, but not a great set. misstress barbara - wow. my first time to see her and experience that type of music (tech, or tech-house). very intense music - best way i can describe it is having a knife stabbed repeatedly in you, very sharp and intense music.
  10. dream is a new club in dc opening on 11/22. it supposedly will have 4 floors and somewere on NY avenue. that's about all i know right now.

  14. sorry scratch. it was originally supposed to be 10/6, and for a few weeks after the attacks it was still on. but according to what i heard, the national guard needs to use randall's island (manhattan). so it's being postponed til 4/20.
