  17. Feel free to copy and pass this on to other messageboards and mailing lists. Some people from the Buzz messageboard are organizing a candlelight vigil outside Nation this Friday night -- trying to gather some positive media coverage. #1 || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || LIVE ON WHFS 99.1 FM FRIDAY, SEPT. 20, 2002 12 midnight – 3 a.m. (the time Buzz normally would be broadcast live on WHFS) Join Scott Henry, John Tab and the rest of the Buzzlife crew as we drop classic tunes that defined Buzz over its 9 years. Our plan is to take callers with questions, comments or hear from those that want to share a Buzz memory with the rest of us. #2 || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || Yes, Buzz is not at Nation on Friday nights any longer, but we at Buzzlife are making plans for the future. We’re keeping our website and messageboard and will list up-to-date information as we receive it. Buzz will continue its FREE membership discount policy. Buzz messageboard members who post 10 or more times each week (thru 5 p.m. each Friday) will receive $5 off admission of a particular event ANYWHERE in DC or throughout the U.S. For the next two Saturdays (Sept. 21 and Sept. 28) it will be for Stereo at the Edge. A different club will participate each week. To be eligible sign up for the Buzz messageboard at: www.buzzlife.com. 10 or more posts each week (that’s only 2 posts per day, Monday – Friday) automatically will place you on the Buzz membership guest list. If you don’t post at least 10 times by the end of each week, then you won’t receive the discount. The membership must be renewed each week with a minimum of 10 posts to the Buzz messageboard. At 5 p.m. each Friday, we will print out a list of all messageboard members who meet the requirement that week. Post counts are not transferable from one week to another. Posts cannot be copied and repeated to fulfill the requirement. Our moderators will monitor this. How to join? Really easy. Just create a sign-on to the Buzz messageboard (www.buzzlife.com) and post away. We want this opportunity to be accessible to everyone, which is why we’re not charging for memberships. It’s based on involvement not investment. When you arrive at the event, there will be a special membership guest list with that week’s messageboard members who posted 10 times or more. This list discounts the admission price by $5. Guest lists at some events may close at a certain time, so be sure to check with the promoter of that event. || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || -- Much respect, The Buzz Crew Buzzlife Productions 3207 M Street NW Washington, DC 20007 Buzz memberships now available for FREE Post frequently on the Buzz messageboard and receive a discount to Buzz... www.buzzlife.com Buzz – voted # 1 mega-club in the U.S. by Urb Magazine 2001

A two and a half year investigation of DC nightclubs was launched by the military to supervise the off-duty hours of their local personnel. Unfortunately, the irresponsible behavior of a few triggered a large-scale clampdown on all military nightlife activities. A two and a half year investigation of DC nightclubs was launched by the military to supervise the off-duty hours of their local personnel. Unfortunately, the irresponsible behavior of a few triggered a large-scale clampdown on all military nightlife activities. In early September Nation nightclub was declared off-limits to all servicemen. However, the “witch-hunt†was not over. In an unprecedented move, the United States Military and the DC Police Department joined forces to share information and resources targeting both the Friday night event Buzz and the nightclub Nation. Innocent patrons were harassed and Nation management was threatened with legal action that could result in the loss of their liquor license. “It is unfortunate that events that cater to the youth of America historically become targets of government agencies,†comments Amanda Huie, Buzzlife Director of PR and Marketing. “As leaders in this industry, we will not allow Buzz to become a scapegoat, and in essence, tarnish all electronic dance music events.†Buzzlife, in July of 2002, exposed the injustice of The RAVE Act. This act, being pushed through the Senate, is a clear violation of civil liberties, a person’s right to choose the music they listen to, and an innocent businessman’s right to provide a venue for the music their patrons’ request. Buzzlife’s leadership resulted in national media coverage, protests around the country and the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Leahy’s decision to remove himself as a sponsor of the bill. Buzzlife Productions is America’s leader in electronic dance music marketing and event promotion.
