  12. 11/07/2005 Panthers cheerleaders face charges after bar arrest TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Two Carolina Panthers cheerleaders were charged after their arrest at a bar where witnesses told police the women had sex in a restroom. Renee Thomas, 20, of Pittsboro, N.C., and Angela Keathley, 26, of Belmont, N.C., were taken to Hillsborough County Jail early Sunday. The cheerleaders were kicked off the team Monday for violating a signed code of conduct, Panthers spokesman Charlie Dayton said. The two violated a rule that bans conduct that's embarrassing to the team or organization. Witnesses said the women were having sex with each other in a stall, angering patrons waiting in line to get into the restroom at the club in the Channelside district. Thomas was charged with battery Sunday after allegedly striking a bar patron when she was leaving the restroom, then landed in even more trouble after police said she gave officers a driver's license belonging to another Panthers cheerleader. Thomas, who made the trip to Florida for Sunday's game between the Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was released from jail on $500 bail before police learned she was not the person she claimed to be. Providing police with a false name is a misdemeanor. However, Thomas was charged Monday with giving a false name and causing harm to another -- a third-degree felony punishable by probation or a jail term of one to five years, said police spokeswoman Laura McElroy. Meanwhile, detectives are trying to determine how Thomas gained possession of the driver's license of the third cheerleader, Kristen Owen. Thomas was suspended for an undetermined time for violating the Panthers' code of conduct, Dayton said. Keathley, charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, was released on $750 bail about an hour before the Panthers played the Bucs at Raymond James Stadium. The cheerleaders were not in town to perform at the game.

  19. Miami Miami Miami laid back? No way, maybe in the beach the lifestyle is some what laid back, but for the rest of the city is really fast paced. Miami is going thru some major transformations. The plans for Miami are to make it a topical metropolis where the rich can come to play and live. One big tropical paradise that everyone wants to visit. South beach is going to be the playground for the rich, downtown is going to be the entertainment and commerce of Miami and with a short drive to Florida’s Everglades for those nature buffs; our skyline is so ever changing. But Miami does suck to live in right now, with all the changes, we have lots of traffic, rude people, road rage, bad cops, bad politics, pointless laws*, no sonics, wannabee’s, hot muggy days and nights, lots of rain, hurricane treats, unpredictable weather, too many people, a lot of construction, and house heads. oh and the court system here is a cluster fuck so it the public transportation system But a good thing they just passed a new gun law the really gives gun owner to bust a cap in anyone that threatens; a justifiable right to protect yourself. I would move into the Palm Beach or Weston area because of the pace of things out there, less traffic, safe and if you want to party Miami or the New Hard Rock its all in good driving range. I never been to NY so I can’t really compare the lifestyle, I been told people are nicer over there, but I can’t imagine that Miami and NY would differ in the fast pace life by much. We just have less buildings so you can see the sunsets and rise without some obstruction .
