  1. hahahaha... Ok u got me. Those were the good old days. God... that was miserable back then! Just 1 big headache. Hopefully u will all be @ Studio 9 on Fri. for the Grand Opening party. We could use the support. Can't do it without your help. Thanx for all the great compliments guys! We have a lot of nice, new, exclusive musical treats for u on Friday night. Cooked up in "Moms Kitchen"!!!
  2. P.S..... This is a very cheap way to start out. You wont need an expensive sound card to do this either.
  3. My opinion... Get Acid (made by Sony). Get just the program and 1 or 2 Sony / Sonic Foundry loop discs for sounds. Start with that 1st. It's that simple. You will learn song arrangment. This program has plenty of plug-ins for tweaking, eq-ing, & altering all of your sounds. Before you start worrying about midi, analog modules, keyboards, processors and shit, you need to start trying basic song arrangment just to see if you will actually like doing this and also to see if you will get the hang of it. That's the key. Fuck the bullshit that other kats will tell you!!! Trust me. Let me know. I'm more than willing to help. It's very confusing and there are a lot of different ways to go. Chose one to start. Also, it wouldn't hurt to get Sound Forge as well. Sound Forge is an editing software program that works hand and hand with Acid. Also made by Sony. Very necessary. I live by these 2 programs. It's not about what you use... It's about what you do with what you use. The program doesn't make the man... The man makes the man!!! I'm out. That's Dean's drunking Thanksgiving philosophy!!!
  4. Last I heard, this is how u spell,"COFFEE"!!! HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH! I HOPE U CAN MIX BETTER THAN U SPELL!
  5. Yo man, I can't take this shit no more. Just a bit too much drinkibg for me. That sweet little bartender @ Greenroom is a nut!!! LOL! Girl's making me do shots of GM. DAMN!!! That shit's nasty. Good time though. Good house music and good drinks!!! Guess I'll be back on Friday...If my body can handle it!
  6. I Havn't Been There Yet But Heard The Place And Jp Have Been Rocking!!! I Gotta Try And Make It Out. How's The Crowd? Is It Loaded Wit Crackheads?
  7. I think I'm down! Y-Not is a good dj and a cool kat. I wanna hear some classics. Tell Antonio to hook that shit up!!!
  8. Very true Tifferina! The demo is very important. If u know any producers in ur area, maybe u can hook up wit them and even demo live for them. Obviously, if they like u, they'll use u for something. That's exactly what my home girl Tifferina did! She came over the studio with her manager and TORE UP A CHRISTINA SONG ("Beatiful")! We were like..."OH SHIT! This Puerto Rican Chick is off the chains." The rest is history. WARNING.... Watch yourself out there. Most Dj/Remixer/Producers are FULL OF SHIT! That's the truth. You have to get with the right team of people. And unfortunatelly, a lot of the guys will just bullshit you to hook up wit you. Even the biggest guys in the industry are doing that. ALL PLAY AND NO WORK!!!
  9. Shiiiiiitttt.... I'm in. We have all been going every year for the past 8 years. It's a good time. Can't wait. Going down on Sunday. Leaving on Thurs. Staying at Bally's. See u all there!
  10. Shit, know one reviewed the event yet? Unity Jam! Sat July 24th! Let me start off by giving a big special thanks to Prime. I think I had enough drink tickets to last me till next week. Here's how the day started: We got there at about 12:45. Of course we started drinking and enjoying the day. Unfortunatelly, know one was there early all day! Just all the dj's and their friends. For me, that was good enough. Got to finally meet and hang out wit a lot of guys in the industry that I've never met before. That was cool! I had a blast. We all did. To tell u the truth, I have no idea how I even dj'd at 11:30 pm when Mello and I went on! We were straight up HIT! Funny thing is...so was everyone else. LOLOLOL! Around that time was when the place was packing up. A real nice party crowd. We didn't get into our hotel room till the next morning at about 9:30 am. Good times! Can't wait to do it again. The only things I would change for next time is: Cut down a few dj's (1/2 hour sets suck! No time to do shit.) The least amount of time to dj should be 45 min. - 1 hour. The other thing would be, start the party at 4 pm instead of 12. That's it for me. It was nice meeting and hangin wit u all and thanx to Prime and the Greenroom. Dean's Weekly Review ("Like It Matters"!) LOL!
  11. LOL! Shit...I guess we're waaaaaaay out there then!!!
  12. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! Got to Surf at about 8:30. Walked in to some bangin beats with a live percussionist on stage. Who by the way, was killing it! Started drinking and was pretty excited that I was listening to Oscar G. Then... I heard a Deboroh a Cox acca. come in. That's when I realized, THIS AINT OSCAR G.!!!! LOL. Apparently, he missed his flight. He was playing a set the night before that went well into the morning. And... He missed the flight! Something like that. That's what I was told. So... That sucked! We were in the mood to hear him. But... We still had a real good time. It wasn't too packed. There was room to breath. Turned out, Teo was spinin. He played a very nice set last night. Overall, there was still very good house music at Surf! Dean's Weekly Review! ("Like It Matters") LOL!
  13. Yo fellas, no need to fight over this. It's all good! LOL! Seriously! That's what these message boards are all about. Posting up your opinions/reviews on tracks and other subjects. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Everyone's taste in music is not always the same. I totally understand that. No music producer/song writer can satisfy everyone's taste. Especially when it comes to House music. We are all dj's, producers, club goers, & house music lovers on this board. With that, we are all very specific with the type of house music that we like and play. Not everyone is gonna like everything that a producer creates. On this particular remix, we made it more on the harder banger tip with some twisted percussion and some cool samples of the original "Bango" song. Shit... Normally I'm a straight house head. That's the kind of track Mello and I were feeling when we created it. We love the track! We get an AWESOME crowd response when we play it out and everyone seems to like it. It's all good if some people don't like it. I mean, my opinion, I don't think that I would ever call this song "GARBAGE". It's very well produced. I want to hear everyones honest opinion on my songs. Cool? Aight. Talk to you'll later! Peace! Dean Masi (Masi & Mello)
  14. Thank you guys. I really appreciate it. This is our first release as a new record label. We tried to give a few different remix options for people to play. I understand that everyone has their own opinion on music, whether you like the song / remixes or not. What's important to us is that even if it's not ones taste in music, you have to respect the project. It's all original with a new talented artist and the remixes are great. The instrumentation and production in the vocal soul mix (track # 3) came out great That's not an easy thing to do. Besides my original mix (track 2) of course, my favorite mix is the MMD Dub (track # 4) that we did. That shit is bad. A real funky ANOLOG feel. It has a good crowd response too! We at So Deep Music felt that this was a very good quality original vocal House song to open up the new label with. I hope you all enjoy it. Look out for our next release. The "Deep E.P"! Very dark, tribally, twisted and fucked up tracks! lol! That's the only way to describe it. We'll have anywhere from 3 to 5 different original songs. I think everyone is gonna like this! Everyone on our mailer will continue to get all of our releases sent to them. Anyone that would like to be on the mailer, please pm me with your address. Thanks again, "Keep House Music Alive"! Dean Masi (So Deep Music)
  15. Thank you guys. I appreciate it. Glad you all like it. That "So Emotional" rmx is one of ours. We just had the vinyl out. The A Side is the "Dont Go" -Yaz (rmx) and the B Side is "So Emotional" - Whitney. We did a few nice mash ups/edits on the cd too. Thanx guys. Peace!
  16. I heard that the KTU radio commercial for DJais is the BOMB!!!
  17. HOUSE...HOUSE...HOUSE!!! So glad trance is gone around here right now. I couldn't take that shit anymore.
  18. Maybe I'll make a special guest appearence for this one!!!
  19. I Think Robbie's going on at Sawmill at 12. Which makes for a very long funfilling day!
  20. I Think Robbie's going on at Sawmill at 12. Which makes for a very long funfilling day!
  21. Only certain clubs. Bamboo being one of them. So.......get ready for an all day non stop party. CAN'T WAIT!!!! And yes...I believe it will be 18 and over for chicks! I guess they'll be a lot of chicken heads in BAMBOO! LOL!
  22. Mello spun there for a while. I was there for just a little bit. The place used to be good. It was doomed from the start though. It always had a black cloud over it. A lot of bullshit happened there over the years. It's now closed down and they're building Condo's or some shit. And yes...Art Stock was an asshole alcoholic!
