From their origins in the flashy glitz of Las Vegas to their present home in the blazing limelight of Los Angeles, Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland of The Crystal Method know a thing or two about living large. Today, they're international jet-setters, staking their claim on arena stages the world over with their in-your-face performances and DJ sets. Simply put: They're rock stars of electronic music.
They make music like rock stars, too-literally. Incorporating edgy electric guitar riffs and rapid-fire percussion barrages with quaking basslines and breakbeats, the Method men have created a dance music fusion that can only be termed their own.
Their latest concoction, the red-line big-room stormer "Born Too Slow" (featuring the vocals of former Kyuss frontman John Garcia) is already seeing spins on an international scale thanks to support by DJs across the globe. The single is also the first offering from Legion of Boom, The Crystal Method's latest CD in a series of well-received original releases that includes the artist albums Vegas and Tweekend as well as the mixed compilation Community Service.
But what drives The Crystal Method? Is it the creative desire to make music? Or is it a more ideological push to advance music? How did Jordan and Kirkland come to join forces in the studio with artists as diverse as Mark Slaughter and Milla Jovovich? And how do the Method men describe their own evolution behind the soundboard?
Log on. Tune in. Listen up. On Wednesday, April 14, at 9pm The Crystal Method joins THE REVOLUTION.
