  1. The last two songs he played I believe were: Schiller and Heppner: I Feel You (PvD Rework) Condor II - You Can Kiss My Ass
  2. I would go for the whole thing if you can so Tuesday through Sunday would be the best. As far as flights go, www.orbitz.com is a good way to see what flights are available and how much they cost. Try to see how much it is to fly into Ft. Lauderdale and Miami because most of the time Ft. Lauderdale is cheaper and it is only about a 30 minute drive. Put NYC as the city your leaving from so it will show flights from all the local airports. If you see a flight you like on Orbitz go to the airline webiste and book it through there to avoid the booking fee Orbitz charges. For a really cheap fare, go to www.priceline.com and bid on a flight around 40% less than the cheapest fare on Orbitz. The bid may be accepted. The only problem is that you don't know what time you'll be leaving or if the flight will be direct. As far as where you should be, stay on South Beach on Collins Ave. or Ocean Drive no further north than 40th Street. It's too early to choose where to go each night.
  3. A friend told me to check this out last week. Now people at work are on it. It seems to be rapidly growing in popularity. Granted, it is hilarious. Has anyone looked at the writing section? Is this serious? Has anyone been to this place Temptations? It looks like it's worth the trip just for humor. Didn't Denny Tsettos used to play at Exit? I can only imagine the records this guy must be playing.
  4. I actually think thedjlist.com is probably the most accurate ranking of dj's out there. It's not put together by some magazine that is inevitably slanted toward European music. Some of the best U.S. dj's are right up there like Dish and Fortier. Also, at least for me, it's tough to argue that PvD, Sasha, Tiesto, etc. don't play the best gigs. It does, however, seem to be a little anti-New York. I don't think JP and Junior can compare with some of the top dj's on there but they are better than 100+. It seems hard to believe that these guys are so New York that they get no respect anywhere else in the world.
  5. I don't know if I'd go that far. It is difficult to argue with the top 10 on that list. They may be the most popular but that is because they are the most talented. Even djs like Sander and Ferry are much better than JP at the JerseyFactory. The one and only time I stepped foot into that place was for the master, PvD.
  6. Well spoken. Plus, it is easy to list some U.S. djs that are better...Deep Dish, Chris Fortier, George Acosta, Hex Hector...
  7. It's official according to the website...Roxy in November. I guess it is announced early now so everyone can make their travel arrangements.
  8. PvD in New York is definitely out of control. As usual, the music was amazing but the crowds are just becoming too big. I had a good time like many who have already posted. However, I have to admit that my time would have been 100% better if there wasn't such a crowd. PvD is possibily the biggest crowd drawer but I have seen him outside of NYC and it's not quite as bad. The last time he was at Space in Miami there was a comfortable crowd and plenty of room to dance. Unfortunately, the only solution seems to be having a 21+ crowd. I saw Oakey a few months back at Centro and the place was comfortably spacious for an Oakey set. Also, Exit is a pretty awful club. The sound is garbage and lights are terrible. I hope PvD does not decide to establish his residency there after his tour of New York.
