It’s educating yet entertaining, it’s uplifting yet dangerously deep, it’s smooth yet rigidly brilliant. Tyrant 1 was revolutionary – it made other compilations of its time sound stale. Their second compilation, No Shoes, No Cake, for other DJ’s misfortune, again made most other mixes bar the odd exception, fall on its arse.†This is truly a mouthwatering event for any music lover. Both Lee and Craig have enjoyed hugely successful solo careers and are without doubt two of the most forward-thinking talented and respected DJs in the world today. January was an amazing a show and was proof of his intention to make 2003 his big year in NYC! It will also mark as a special pre-release show for his 4 Seasons E.P. due out soon. Joining him will be resident BILL PATRICK. Bill's DJing schedule has been getting increasingly hectic with gigs abroad in Argentina and forthcoming in the UK and Finland. He's no stranger to working with Sander and together they should provide an memorable show in the main room. Wrapping it up, the extremely talented NY underground collective Con-fus-ion will be hosting the arcade with DJs NANDO VASQUEZ, HIRO and KATS IMAI. TECHNO MUSIC is hitting NEW YORK CITY in a big way this week-end! ONE of the biggest and most naturally gifted DJs in the genre Marco Carola will be spinning exclusively at arc this Saturday 29th March. As one of techno music`s prime movers his unique 3 deck mixing style has made him one of the most requested bookings among Techno DJ`s. As part of the ELP (Electronic Label Pool), Marco Carola is considered by some to be one of the heirs to Jeff Mills’ Techno kingdom. Marco has long been one of our prime targets to bring to arc. A truly amazing DJ. This show will be the first time in a long time that Marco will be playing on a big soundsystem in New York City and promises to be a very exciting night. With the help of some good relations in the UK we have been able to arrange a shows featuring some of the best techno DJs in the world. We will also receive the FULL support of DJ magazine who have come aboard to help raise awareness for the event. BILLY NASTY UMEK OLIVER HO VALENTINO KANZYANI It has been a huge mission to get all these guys to come and play at arc on the same night. Everyone is extremely excited, us included, to be having such a great party in New York!! Currently UMEK is one of the hottest DJs in europe. He will be featured on the cover of the WMC DJ magazine issue and will be supplying a full mix CD as a supplement to the magazine. This is his first time to New York and really it is an amazinmg opportunity to see this truly great DJ, (who by the way, can spin on 4 turntables simultaneously), perform! Easily one of the most exciting DJs of the moment. Tortured Records head honcho BILLY NASTY will also be there. A truly inspirational and legendary DJ, Billy was one of the first to bring tech-house to the masses in UK between 1994-6. He was also one of the first to start pushing people like ADAM BEYER, CARI LEKEBUSCH and MARCO CAROLA before they became famous. Since then he has become one of the biggest and most respected DJs within the techno community. Setting up two extremely successful labels, Tortured and Elextrix Records, a night at The End in London and an agency that represents most of the top Techno artists in the world: www.thereminmanagement.co.uk. Hands down, one of my all time favorite DJs... If you haven't seen him spin, now is the chance.. Topping it off we have one of the most innovative and respected producers of techno music, OLIVER HO. Oli is a stunning producer and has recieved world wide recognition for his music. He has been to New York a few times playing at Limelight and the Lunatarium, but this will mark his first session on the Phazon and it's going to be ridiculous........ Finally Umek's partner, fellow 'recycled loops' producer/dj Valentino Kanzyani from Slovenia. Like Umek, he is making a name for himself as currently one of the most exciting prospects in dance/techno music. These two DJs will be battling it out in NY soon. I thought it might be cool to give a quick bit of info on them! Definitely worth a read... Talla 2XLC is credited for being one of the pioneers of the global Techno scene. From being the founding father of the legendary Technoclub @ Dorian Gray (est. 1984), to becoming the most loved Trance DJ in Germany, Talla has received global recognition for his unique brand of Powerful and Epic Techno Trance. In the early 80’s, Talla began his dj career with the sounds of Kraftwerk, YMO, and Depeche mode in Frankfurt. His first projects like Moskwa TV were far ahead of their time and started the legendary sound of Frankfurt. Songs like “Technotalk†or “Generator 7†were powered across Europe and also stormed the American Billboard charts. Even in Chicago, where Technohouse was created, the “Moskwa TV†tracks were played at the time in clubs and events. He founded the “TECHNOCLUB†in 1984, (from 1989-2000 located in the legendary Dorian Gray (R.I.P) @ the Frankfurt Airport). Technoclub is one of the most influential electronic music clubs in the world , responsible for placing many different styles of Techno and Trance on the worldwide map of music. Technoclub played host to many of today’s most talented figures of dance music including Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier, Paul van Dyk and others. KRAFTY KUTS Tonight you're gonna see some breakin', and some breakin' and some breakin' and some rappin', and then you're gonna see some more breakin'. Then you're gonna call the doctor, because, yes, you guessed it…Krafty Kuts has got the 'Ill Type Sound'. Hit it! A Juggernaut of scratchability, Krafty Kuts has been itchin' the rash on the records since he was a kid. When most of us were still playing marbles or starting to go through that bewildering awkward stage, Krafty Kuts was already streetwise and old skool by 12 years of age. When you enter a DJing competition, having never DJ'd before, and get to the finals, you know you must have chosen the right career path – Krafty Kuts. Krafty aka Martin Reeves is a true leader of the scene. He has been voted into the world's top 100 DJs_ (DJ magazine poll) for three years running, he has had his own record shop, label, he is a proucer, remixer and hot in demand DJ. Krafty's highest achievement to date came recently when he was voted "Best International DJ' by Australia's Dance Music Awards even beating the likes of supremos Digweed and Sasha.

This is a rare appearence for the one they call: THE JUDGE...... He arrived in at No.7 in the world's 100 Djs....not bad.... He has built a huge reputation back in the UK where he runs probably one of the most famous dance radio shows in the world, BBC Radio 1 . He has been involved in the scene right from the start, in the days of acid house and beyond. He is a true survior of this scene and an amzingly charasmatic cool guy. His parties are all about getting down and having it out on the dancefloor. Pumping music, sweaty bodies, etc..etc.. You'd better come and see what all the fuss is about.. If you know a thing or two about Pumping Italian Techno, the way Mauro Picotto likes it, then who better to trust than Picotto's italian partner Mario Piu! This weekend Mario will come to NY for the first time to play an exclusive gig at arc. This is a one-off exclusive US event as Mario allows a week-end his busy European tour schedule to join us here in New York. It definately looks set to be a very special night!! He's joined by Noel Sanger, Paolo Mojo and Native Theory.
