no, i don't think anything will ever take the place of Twilo.....but a good 'close' would be nice. clubbing in northeast sucks right now, unless we get a good DJ coming through.

Crobar opening in NYC? i have heard this rumor and want to know if it is true and when it would open. i was told it will probably be just as good as Twilo was? and if it is openening who will be the residents? thanks

you are right, these boards form close-knit groups of friends. i belong to another board, www.clubvibes.com, the Boston section. there are so many of us that have become close friends on there, we party together, we have hooked each other up with friends, we go to the clubs together or meet up with others.....it's a great time. you guys should come stop by our board sometime and keep us updated on NYC because a lot of us are constantly going into the city on weekends

most definitely, this is how most of my friends are. oh instead of aspirin sometime we pop 800mg ibuprofens, can't feel a damn thing.....and the 5htp is a natural seratonin booster, NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT.....it makes for a smooth landing party hard, party responsibly, and most of all take care of yourself when you are done (for the weekend that is).

yes they make me very jealous.....they make me want to round up my friends ASAP make them all take vacations get some plane tix and hop over before the month ends.....

wow racer, sounds like a normal weekend around here. but substitute the valium/xanex with klonopin (same stuff just stays in your body longer) and also take out the A and Shrooms for when coming down but keep the E and throw in lots of 5htp and vitamins oh and i am known for throwing back a glass of straight tequila at 8 or 9 am (kind of a ritual now) after a hard night of partying, when coming down is needed......or we may stop at the store for a 20 rack of bottles, and go for round 2

oh don't even laugh at the 2:30 closing times.....we have to deal with 2am closing times in Boston.....and on weekdays in Providence, RI at clubs such as Metropolis closing time is 1am! we get top notch and international DJ's on a weekly basis (Sasha on Thursday, Icey Friday this week) at Avalon here but the closing times are ridiculous! the only good thing we have going is Fridays Avalon opens up into 4 clubs (soon to be 5) and usually there will be top DJ's in both Avalon and Axis, right next door to each other and you can go back and forth between the two clubs. For instance last Friday was Sandra Collins in Avalon, Doc Martin in Axis. This friday is Jerry Bonham in Avalon, Icey in Axis, after having Sasha on Thursday. everywhere has it's own scene, and ours sucks big time. it's mainly because we don't have enough clubs getting in the big names and our early closing times. this is something we all complain about quite often. if we are lucky we get treated to great DJ's at afterhours. the last time i was at afterhours in Boston we had Porter, Cass and then a guest appearance by Satoshi Tomiie all in one night, from 2am - 7:30am (you are still laughing at the closing time i know) but hey it was quite a treat

anyone in the US that knows good DJ's know that JP and JV SUCK! i am from Boston and the scene here is still very underground. Danny T is a great DJ and we are luck to have him. we love having all of the European DJ's coming through these days, we are getting spoiled! NYC definitely has a good club scene, much better than Boston (our scene here sucks and our clubs are only usually open from 10-2) but compared to the UK NYC is nothing, the city is always trying to shut down clubs in NYC and they have been successful with some of the big legendary NYC clubs it's a shame.....and then there is the Boston closing times grrrrr clubbing in the US can be so frustrating. the only place where things are most liberal in the US is Las Vegas they don't try to shut down clubs they stay open until early morning and out there anything goes, if only we could be more like that over on the east coast! you Europeans are very lucky with what you have as far as club culture, we are still trying to catch up but it's hard with the gov't always wanting to get involved, they almost tried to pass some rave act that would have shut down even more clubs......it sucks here! :mad:
