I agree PHAZON for such a massive CLUB would indeed break the bank. I have been told Phazon runs about 1.5 million to install and 800,000 a year in up keep and maintenance for a regular size venue.

I think high ceilings may be a good idea especially if they are planning on putting in concert style sound system which brings me to my next question how does V-DOSC compare to PHAZON?

I agree 100% but its unlikely it will happen,There is a certain energy that has been lacking in MIAMI'S Music the past few years since the whole Murk sound revolution, I t is impossible to dismiss David & Gio on the turntables @The MIX, or the power sessions dominated by Edgar V on sat nights @ SPACE the energy levels were just insane! I respect DJ'S like OscaR G,Ralph Falcon they have culminated there own style and have worked hard to get where they are but the fact remains we need to satisfy the hard trance scene in Florida that is still alive and very well. Bring back the energy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with Saleen the MC routine by Tenaglia was definately a not kosher, People were looking around at each other like WTF is this? Track selection was not bad but layering,mixing, and timing seemed off to me.

I heard there is gonna be a pre-Space party for Tenaglia @Nikkibeach Sunday Sept. 1st, Can anyone shed any light on this ? I am there regardless but guess it would be cool to meet up with any other peeps going later on that night. Hopefully this weekend will be kick ass nothing like starting off a monday with the Sun rising on the Patio.Thank god for Long weekends

Hey Deke there will always be a trance crowd especially for those of us that have been involved with the Miami club/music scene for the last 6 years its impossible not to appreciate the sounds that have cultivated Miami's style. I think its hilarious how everyone dogs trance in here but yet when Tiesto,PVD, or any other international (TRANCE) DJ comes to Play @SPACE the turnout is nothing short of incredible.

Deke I think any of the aboved mentioned named would be great the greatest challenge would be to get RANK1. Benno does not like playing in the states as far as I know the closest they usually come is Canada. I would love to see Johan @SPACE I think he could teaR the place apart especially if his mixing and sound is anything close to his 2002 trance energy set. ALso love to see DJ JAIMY & Kenny D live @SPACE right along side Tiesto playing the best that Black hole has to offer now theres an idea! FROM TIESTO'S WEBSITE: I read it and found it quite interesting so here it is Life On The Road I went to Montreal a few weeks ago to play on a big party called Forza. In that same weekend was the Formula 1 Grand Prix so I picked the best time to visit Montreal. The whole city was dressed up for this weekend and the people are beautifull in this town. They are different from any other city in the world, pretty, friendly, classy and very openminded to music. I played from 01.30 till 07.00 in the morning and it was just great. I mixed different styles together like trance, techno, tribal and uplifting progressive and they wanted it all. It's great when I can play on a party where you can experiment a bit in your set and people appreciate it. After Montreal I travelled to Israel to play in Haoman 17 in Jerusalem. Everybody in the whole world strongly advised me not to go but they don't know the story between me and Israel. I always had this special connection with the Israelian crowd and they have always supported me so much over the years. I just had to go, nowadays with all the trouble every deejay is cancelling his gigs in Israel which is bad because without deejays there are no parties so the people over there get even more depressed. And esspecially now they need to have fun to forget all the trouble. For many deejays Israel is one of the best places to play because the crowd is amazing. Steam came off the crowd when I started playing and I went on till 07.30 am. I put on my last record and dived into my crowd. These are my people I thought, and they took me in their arms, put me on their shoulders and I surfed over the crowd. Unbelievable to think that only one mile away from this club is the gaza. Joy and suffering so near to each other. After that I did my opening session, the first Tiestosolo in Amnesia, Ibiza. I love ibiza. Amnesia, with all the history, is the best club in the world. The soundsystem, the smokemachine, the vip-area, the terrace, the deejay-booth... it's a dream for every deejay to play in this club. Again I played until 07.30 in the morning and the sun came through the roof... I found my sunrise again for the first time this summer, which was a great feeling. Next I went to London for the U.K. Dancestar Awards. I like to go to award ceremonies because it's one of those rare occasions to see your friends in the music industry. Virgin, my record company in England, had booked a table and we were having fun drinking and eating. I looked around and saw Tenaglia on the left and Fatboy Slim and Digweed on the right. All those years I looked up to these superstar deejays and suddenly I am there as well. I won the award for best club deejay and I could not believe it!! I realise now that I am so happy with everything, my music, touring, travelling, deejaying all over the world and now this award. Thanks to everybody who helped me over the years and everybody who voted for me. Without you I wouldn't be where I am today. Have a great summer, love, Tiësto.

It seems like this contest may be a direct result of the controversy that surrounds CLUB SPACE. I am new to the boards here but certainly not new to Miami club scene nor the music culture. I have been a loyal supporter of Club Space since day one not because of who runs it or how many comps I can get but because of the incredible music talent it poses on a weekly basis and the people who have made SPACE the place it is. I will always look toward SPACE as a music refuge and a place to hang with some of the most incredible people in South Florida. I do however understand the frustrations that many people have with SPACE. I myself have been burned by guest list promises by Louis,do I hate him for it? not really,will I continue to go to SPACE? of course. I think the bottom line is its nice once in a while to know the owner,owners, actually give a shit that you are coming to there clubs as a supporter and are willing to throw you comps when they know you would willingly throw down money to enter anyway. I guess I look at it like this I don't like paying a cover charge to a place where I consider my nightlife home however I don't know anywhere that can provide me with the satisfaction I get there for a 20 dollar cover charge. As long as I have an xtra 20 bucks in my wallet come friday you will see my ass dancing in the blueroom. TO COMP OR NOT TO COMP THAT IS THE QUESTION????
