  3. After the rigours of a long, (not very) hot summer we can now release the finer details of the huge lineup of 12"s forthcoming on Innerground. In a change to the planned release schedule, The Dia De Sol Summer Pack will now be divided in to Part One and Part Two. Part One will be: A/ DJ Marky & XRS - Soul Samba AA/ DJ Marky & XRS - Breeze (DJ Marky VIP) Currently doing the rounds on the club circuit, this will be the first appearance on vinyl from the Innerground head honchos since the release of their debut album in March. This will hit the shelves on October 11th 2004. Part Two will be in close pursuit, and will feature two mixes of Dia De Sol, one of the finer moments of the In Rotation LP, and featuring the vocal talents of Brazilian Minister for Culture Gilberto Gil. The A side will be the original mix of the track with a remix on the flip by none other than Tom Findlay, one half of Groove Armada!! A/ DJ Marky & XRS - Dia De Sol feat. Gilberto Gil AA/ DJ Marky & XRS - Dia De Sol feat. Gilberto Gil (Tom "Groove Armada" Findlay remix) Next up will be a 12" from the unstoppable force in drum & bass that is Calibre. With everybody from Bukem to Ray Keith hammering these two tracks, Calibre fans have been screaming for a release, and with a timely release in late October, this will make a lot of people very happy! A/ Calibre - Bluetop AA/ Calibre - Gemini Calibre will be handing the baton over to Logistics, one of the infamous Cambridge collective, who has two awesome tracks ready to blow up - A/ Logistics - Millionaire AA/ Logistics - Front To Back Following that will be a 12" from Digital. This one has something for everyone, with an A side that sounds like a mid-90s Metalheadz anthem beefed up 21st Century style and a soulful B side, this one has ANTHEM written all over it! A/ Digital - Termite AA/ Digital - Ready Or Not Next up will be a cut from Oxford's finest, Total Science. Two big, big tunes here, both capable of doing some serious dancefloor damage! A/ Total Science - Wasting Time AA/ Total Science - Expand http://www.innergroundmusic.com

  14. Wednesday | October.29.2003 M3 Music present: a Rinse magazine and DCDNB.ORG sponsored event 31 Records present THE KING OF THE ROLLERS TOUR DOC SCOTT [ 31 Records :: Metalheadz :: Mixmag Live! ] - UK The recipient of the first release on the influential Metalheadz Recordings - which he co-founded with Goldie - and an early inspiration on the jungle star, Doc Scott began producing records in the early days of the '90s, when jungle was in its tender infancy. After receiving a pair of turntables at the age of 18, he began DJing. Scott played live dates at raves during 1989-90, and soon after gave up his job as a telephone worker to enter music full-time. Scott soon became part of the Reinforced Recordings crew, which included Dego and Mark Mac of 4 Hero, and later, Goldie. Scott's 1992 EP for Reinforced, Nasty Habits' As Nasty as I Wanna Be, set the template for darkside drum'n'bass with the classic "Here Come the Drumz." He and Goldie recorded several tracks together while at Reinforced, forming Metalheadz in 1994. The Doc Scott single "VIP Drums" proved to be the label's first release, starting out Metalheadz with style and foreshadowing additional releases such as "Far Away" and an update of "Here Come the Drumz" titled "Drumz 95." Scott recorded as well for LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records, and set up his own label in 1996. Recently, Doc Scott continues his run with his 31 Records release of "The King of the Rollers" series showcasing the best talents in drum and bass. MC ARMANNI [ Gasm :: Substitution :: Platinum ] - Philly MC Armanni Reign, a lyrical mastermind and our host tonight when Doc Scott takes his position on the decks, has a proficiency in crowd control which exceeds above average. It should be no surprise this man is already being classified as one of the most talented MC's in drum and bass today. THE DCDNB.ORG TAKEOVER RANSOM [ Modified :: DCDNB.ORG ] Over the years, Harry Ransom has often been recognized for his desire and yearning for the drums and the bass, but when it comes to his desire for girls, we’ve often allowed that love to be overlooked. So next time you hear him drop “Bring It On†to the masses don’t be afraid to think about what hidden meanings it may hold. The 1’s and 2’s will be nice and warm for Doc Scott when the founder of DCDNB.ORG steps off them tonight. mrn [ NUCO :: Modified :: DCDNB.ORG ] Known for often being mistaken for “Dieselboy†and being a loyal customer to Parliament cigarettes, mrn loves drum and bass. Representing the DCDNB.ORG gestapo tonight Matty will bring his skills to the decks of Club Five, guaranteeing to give all of your thumbs a workout on those lighters. BOBBY JAE [ District Soul :: DCDNB.ORG :: five:dnbsessions ] Considered one of the area's soulful drum'n'bass pioneers, Bobby Jae returns to Five with his impeccable mixing and top notch selection. His brand of funk and soul is always pushing the creative envelope, yet is still geared at moving crowds.
