  2. hi all, just wanted to drop a quick line to say hello to everyone and say how excited i am to be back home, especially for this event. bryan has been a good friend of mine for the better part of ten years. many of you here may not know who he is. but, i can guarantee that i've seen just about every one of you dance to at least 2 of his songs at one point or another at almost every club here in miami. both his "d-clash" and "watch the sun" tracks were pretty big in miami, even if you didn't know the names of the songs. his skills as both a producer and dj are just insane. i got to witness bryan's dj skills firsthand a couple years ago at the rex club in paris, and he was just insane. bryan exemplifies what we are striving for with this pornograph party. it wasn't about the "T" word. it was about having a great time with the crowd. playing a wicked combination of house, tech-house, techno, dub, whatever the hell you want to call it. he rocked that place. i know he'll do the same here. it's with open arms that i invite all of you to come and check out what we're doing. i'm also so very proud of the guys that i get to do this party with. we're not here to push anything down anyone's throat. we just want to have a good time, with some good people, here at home. all the guys i get to play with are extremely talented and i cannot wait for more of you here to experience what they have to offer this city, and the world. i've known nelson (nova) for over 10 years as well. i've watched his skills rise. His love for music proved itself with the birth of his Detroit meets Miami yearly party at WMC. His wife, Bridget has become the glue that holds us all together, our den mother, if you will. Armando Suarez has been the guy that just about all of us DJs here get our music from at Grooveman on the beach. He's also one of the most versitle and best sounding DJs I've had to pleasure of listening to. Miguel Colmenares and Michael Louis are my new favourite DJ duo. The fun that they have DJing is apparent when you see them play. I'm also proud to have A&Red some of their music as Breach Boutique and Miquel's solo project...both coming to a store near you soon! Ramon Crespo is our faithful promoter. His passion and excitment for good electronic dance music makes me smile everyday. We need more peeps like him. I'm so glad he's a part of this. My point is that I normally fly solo. But, this is something that I truly believe is something special. I truly hope you all come out and check out what we're doing. We're not a bunch of elitist, trainspotting music critics...we don't have 20 promoters working overtime for us...we're not rocking the biggest dancefloors in miami...we're just a bunch of friends out for a good time. we hope to see you all out you won't be sorry! much love, greg "stryke" chin www.myspace.com/pornographmiami
  3. A memorial gathering honoring of our dear departed friend Bruce Wilcox will be held at Mama Mia's in Hollywood, Fl. Saturday May 6th 2006 7 PM - til they kick us out. There will be hourderves and a cash bar You can check http://www.miagrill.com for information about the location. Sorry about the short notice. We hope all of you can attend.
  4. unfortunately, none of us have a pic of bruce. if anyone here does, please forward it to me. however, the police do have his picture on a police flyer (they got it from his driver's license photo on file). thanks, greg
  5. thank you all again for your kind words and help. i have been able to find out that a couple of you have seen bruce recently. this is a very good thing. after much thought and debate, i've decided to post some important information in case any of you happen to see bruce out in public. should you see him, please call this miami beach police department switchboard number: 305.673.7901 tell them that you've spotted the person from this case number: case#: 2006-5678 you don't have to approach bruce, but if you do happen to see him and call the number, please try and see if the policed are able to pick him up. unfortunately, i can't give my number out here, but please do tell the police to call the emergency contacts in his case #, so that they will call me. i know this sounds weird, but trust me, everything we're doing is in his best intrests. thank you, greg
  6. hi all, just wanted to let you know that after several months too long, www.stryke.net has relaunched w/ a new design and content. we'll be adding more stuff soon such as exclusive free dj sets downloads followups to my "advance" and "staying in" projects, photos, screensavers, etc... european dates for late spring are stargint to be added. berlin, munich, paris, and a few others will be added soon. we're also working on incorporating some functionality with the www.myspace.com/djstryke page. hope you guys come by and enjoy. best, greg
  7. hey jeffy, can you let me know exactly when and where you saw him? i've been helping to look for him since we've known that he's been missing. i wish i could give more specific details. but, for the moment, to respect bruce's privacy, i can't. however, bruce does need our help. if anyone sees him, please contact me right away. we have help ready for him. thanks, greg
  8. hi all, a good amount of you on this board may know my good friend bruce wilcox. either from back in the edge days or from grooveman records. well, i'm reaching out to see if anyone has seen or heard from him. i'm desperately looking for him, as i think he may need some help from his friends. if anyone has any information, please pm me or call me if you have my phone number. this is extremely important. if one of the mods could make this a sticky, i'd be forever grateful. thank you, greg
  9. Hey all, Just wanted to take a quick second out to thank you all for coming out to support Josh and myself last night. We had a ball, and just spent a few hours over coffee going over the night. We just wanted to thank you all and hope to do it again soon. Great meeting those of you who came up and introduced yourselves! Thank you all for reminding me why I do what I do. much love to y'all
  10. Hey all, Thanks for the kind words of support. Glad you're all excited. Both Josh and i can't wait for Saturday. We both have some special things up our sleeves Let's show this club what it should look and sound like on a Saturday...the way we planned it waaaaay back in the beginning! I didn't spend over 2 years of my life working my butt off for this club for nothing. Let's show em how it's done!
  11. wow, thanks so much guys. i'm truly touched. it's good to know i'm still loved at home (i was beginning to wonder!). anyway, looking foward to saturday. many special things planned. let's show this club what the frakkin' deal is! let's rock this motha frakka!
  12. glad you dig the mixes. the final release should see light of day in the next week or so. i promoed a few white copies during conference. for those of you who don't know, i actually do A&R for a couple of the german based intergroove labels. especially circlemusic and monoid (both of which i'm also signed to). the kool and the gang release used remixers from the intergroove camp. i've been playing it out since the mixes were finished late last year. if you dig alex's remix, check out our new single together entitled "baby likes to move" out on monoid next week (w/ a paul mac remix). if you dig the soda inc remix, check out their album on plastic city. all the remixes threw down some wicked tech-house remixes. look out for the next remix project "the breaks" by kurtis blow. some links if you're interested: www.circlemusic.net www.monoid-recordings.com www.plasticity.de www.alexflater.com www.stryke.net paz, greg (stryke)
  13. lol. had nothing to do w/ your comments funk. it's some (not all) of the djs comments on taking over the terrace and showing disrespect to the current resident there (that's me). i just find it sad to see how so many people only care about themselves. it's an eye opening experience to see how so many djs can be so selfish. it's not that it's new to me. i've been in this industry for so long. i am just surprised to see it here from some people who i consider to be smarter and a bit more ethical than that. anyway, on to more important things...how'd you know about the la carreta gig? that's been in the works for months. it's been a battle between la carreta and sergio's for some time. but la carreta won out b/c they have better maduros! actually, my fee is picadillo con arroz blanco (sin frijoles), madruos, y un batito de trigo. my set time is 12 am to 12:30, then a doo doo break (picadillo does that to you). if all goes well and i have the support of my followers, i'll get a raise that adds postre to my fee. perhaps a nice natilla or flan. no seguro.
  14. wow, i'm not even dead yet, and some of you guys show your true disrespectful colours. i never tried to take any of your gigs. ease up folks. i seem to remember helping several of you here getting gigs here and there. please have the same decency to show me the respect i've shown you all in the past...
  15. And the rest that I couldnt post under my name since CP has limitations-CrzyC
