Saleen, Where were you before your heard your first track.... Before your eyes were opened wide by the pounding soundsystem of a large room... Even for you Saleen there was that first time. Who introduced you to the scene, and if they didn't who would you be today? This music is NOT JUST FOR YOU! It is for everyone, these artists do not make a lot of money doing what they do. Sure the lucky few who couple the right decisions with talent and timeing can postion themselves to garner 20,000+ fees to spin records for a few hours. I am a believer in this music, much more I may say than you. Projects like Party 93.1 and Alternative TV-3 on the beach has the real potential to help perpetuate a style of music most people are only exposed to through car commercials and Blade movies! Party 93.1 launched on January 1 @ 12 am, now because of Phil Michaels' (program director) depth of vision US radio finallly has a "new" format. Something not seen in this country since the perpetuation of rap stations in the early 90's. Now because of him 4 other station have opened up with cloned formats accross the country. Yes its top 40 dance. but after 10pm Party does live broadcatss from clubs like Space, features some of the worlds best dance artists on Global DJ broadcast proceded by Paul Oakenfold presents on Sundays. Deep Dish, Paul Van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold...this scene has no time for small minded people, the US is the new frontier, the DJ the new rock star, who are you with your narrow vision to limit artists who wish to be heard just because you want to keep it all to yourself...I'm sorry my friend but this muisc is not about popping a pill and seeing if you'll push yourself far enough to make it to RED sunday afternoon.
