Yes it was the bulldog at one point. the new name and new promotions are definitely something to check out. Yes unfortunately when everyone's use to the late hours to go clubbing it definitely closes too early. I don't know about the laws down here in Ft Laud but in Orlando they use to close the late night clubs at 8am or 12 noon the next day depending on the party NOW most clubs close at 2:30 in Orlando sometimes 3am. Like I said I will be talking to management and if the people are there to party I'll try to get the doors closed off and we can keep going for a bit longer Peace,

this is not only a South Beach problem I think it happens anywhere right now. WPB for example they had a club open up a couple years ago and it was straight up electronic dance music. Unfortunately there wasn't enough loyalty on the part of the club goer for the owner to keep doing edm nights. SO he started the hip hop thing. It pays the bills. Same thing is happening throughout Florida probably the country. the more and more I see new faces in the clubs the more I see the influence of MTV's newer generation as they've been force fed Hip Hop and bubble-gum Pop. I don't blame any of the owners for doing what they have to do to keep the doors open. What I do not tolerate is owners screwing promoters and Djs just because they need to change nights and all. I say let the djs and promoters know from the get-go that they have X amount of time and then if the money's not coming in then it's no surprise to anyone when the nights start to change Peace,

TRENTON, N.J. - The state's top civil rights official has ruled that taverns cannot offer discounts to women on "ladies nights," agreeing with a man who claimed such gender-based promotions discriminated against men. David R. Gillespie said it was not fair for women to get into the Coastline nightclub for free and receive discounted drinks while men paid a $5 cover charge and full price for drinks. In his ruling Tuesday, J. Frank Vespa-Papaleo, director of the state Division on Civil Rights, rejected arguments by the nightclub that ladies nights were a legitimate promotion. Commercial interests do not override the "important social policy objective of eradicating discrimination," he ruled. The ruling specifically addressed the weekly ladies nights at the Coastline in Cherry Hill, but it carries the force of a court decision and applies statewide. Vespa-Papaleo said state officials would write formal rules after a public hearing. The restaurant's attorney, Colleen Ready, did not immediately return a telephone message left Wednesday by The Associated Press. Courts in other states have issued divergent opinions on such promotions. Judges in Pennsylvania and Iowa have said similar events are illegal, but courts in Illinois and Washington state have said that ladies nights are permissible because they do not discriminate against men but rather encourage women to attend.
