  1. Join Intergruv Networks as we guest host a special night at Four Nightclub. We present to a very special night with M3 Entertainment at one of their weekly events known as Mint. Featured this night will be DJ Stryke (Substance, System, Ovum, Final Scratch, Alienware Computers) ~ Miami When the production work of a recording artist ends up in the record boxes and charts of DJs as widespread and as stylistically different as Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Bryan Zentz, Doc Martin, and Josh Wink, just to name a few, one should take notice. This has been the modus operendi for Greg Chin aka Stryke. Although his styles as a producer range anywhere from techno, house, ambient, progressive, Stryke hates the barrier game. "I see it all as music. Every genre has music which is good and bad. That's it. I hate the fact that some people raise an eyebrow when I release a house record when perhaps they know me for techno. All that should matter is whether something is good or bad. Period." Make no mistake however, all pigeonholing talk aside, when it comes to DJing, Stryke gets primal. He's considered to be one of the top techno DJs around today. His globetrotting schedule and growing legions of fans is proof positive of his ability to command dancefloors worldwide. His dexterity is proven time and time again. While DJing, Stryke utilizes three turntables, Final Scratch, and live effects processing (and sometimes even bringing out his 303 & 909!). His live shows, while rare, are an even bigger treat. This producer/Dj is also a full fledged singer! The future looks extremely bright for Stryke. He's had Billboard chart success with his Ad Finem project. He's collaborated with artists such as Christian Smith, MURK, & John Beltran. With releases on labels such as Ovum, Hooj Choons, Guidance, Platform, Twisted, and many others, there seems to be no end in sight for this bright star. Stryke is quickly becoming the hardest working man in electronic music. Listen...Communicate...Understand. Performing alongside Stryke will be: obuchiteck (Intergruv Networks) Theo-G (Brilliantly Mad) Cover = $5 Four 1551 W. Division Chicago fourchicago.com

  7. Life's a real bitch sometimes isn't it? We got some snow comin' this weekend. Fortunately it hasn't been that bad YET! NW Indiana got hit with a foot and a half of that lake effect shit today, and it's still falling... I can't wait to go where the sun is shining...
  8. This morning is was 10 below in Chicago.... BRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
  9. ha ha Yeah, that sounds like Carl... God, I can't remember when it was the first time I saw him. It was a looooooong time ago. I was prolly about 17 or 18. Carl Cox was one of the first dj's to really inspire me to become a dj. It's just so amazing how he works the crowd. He doesn't stop! What's really crazy is how he always stops playing in the middle of his set and the crowd goes FUCKIN' CAZY. He just played at Crobar not too long ago. I was doin' some promotion for his new Mixed Live CD, and I was chattin' with him for a little bit. You can see the glow that this dude gives off. He's a really cool guy, and an extremely talented dj. Personally, I'm not to big on some of the traxx he puts out, but when he's perform he really performs for the crowd. You never really know what to expect from his sets. When he was at Crobar last time he played some seriously banging beats.
  10. Give it a shot. I know that Dan has a pretty descent following. Chicago definitely needs a good trance night. I'll come out and support it. Hell, I'll even come out and play a guest spot or two. As long as the cover isn't outrageous I'll definitely come out and support. Just keep me posted...
  11. I certainly wouldn't doubt it... He's always off the hook. Carl is just an incredible dj. I'm always amazed by his performances.
  12. I started dj'ing about 10 years ago. I worked as an on air personality when I was 15 for a community radio station. I was originally into the Heavy Metal and punk rock scenes. A year or two later I went to my first rave, and quickly fell in love with electronic music. My format went from playing NO FX, and Metallica to playing PlasticMan, and Green Velvet. I've played at events and clubs in and around the Midwest including Young & Restless, Arcanum, Tinkerbell's Revenge, Family Reunion, Crobar Nightclub, Cafe Allure, Cherry Red, and Voodoo Nightclub. I've also play alongside DJ's and artists such as Mistress Barbara, DJ Heather, Carl Cox, DJ Craze, Paul Johnson, DJ ESP Woody McBride, Mike Dearborn, Frankie Bones, and Jes One. My affiliates include Intergruv Networks, OS magezine, Rebel Records (UK), BPM Culture/DJMixed.com, and Moonshine media.
  13. Hey everybody, I'm new to this board, and I just wanted to say hi. I'm comin' down for the conferance this year, and I just wanted to see if anybody can help me out, and let me know where I can send a demo. I'd love to come down and play at a party during the conferance. It really doesn't matter when or where it is; I'm just lookin' to have a good time.I'd also like to possibly meet some of you all as well.
