  9. Nice sets, heard the man is a do not miss event and just like zabiela tons of people like to just watch him work his magic in the booth.
  10. never heard him yet, but many people called his set the best of this year's conference and I have heard nothing but good things about him. Hope to catch him next time he is in miami. Not too sure will be able to make it out next week for lawler, but if the 13th is all about og and roland (and the live at space cd party) then I'll be making it out for sure. Biz hit me up with the info for that night if you can, gonna be last sat i'll be in town b4 heading home for the holidays.
  11. No idea who the other guys are, but I do have a couple of jason dunne livesets from this hybrid website and they are really good.

    how come?

How come there are always roll calls when out of town djs are coming, but never no big news for when our big locals are playing. PVD is playing space this saturday, months in advance people are talking about the event, same with deep dish, and others. But when oscar g comes back home to play nobody hypes it up or nothing and not much respect given. Same thing goes for robbie rivera. THese are two guys, who play anywhere else in the world and people pack into clubs to see them play. You know tons of us always make fun of saleen and his nj/ny scene but to think about it I think they got it better then we do because of how they respect their locals. You go to the nj board, and u see roll calls for danny tsettos weeks in advance and people saying they can't wait. Check the ny board people talking about jp and junior all the time. Back in miami though its when is tiesto cming down again? I'm all up for seeing djs coming down to play and checking them out, but we need to apreciate the locals better and give them the respect they deserve cause lots of them could be playing other places. Space crew and if any rivera crew on here post up on this thread if you read it when oscar is playing next at space and his cd release party date and same for robbie rivera. I'm outta town right now and actually back at home in haiti, but if I could have my pick on which dj I'd like to hear right now its oscar g, roland, and robbie rivera.

    Pete Tong

Pete tong does have his own show on radio 1, called the essential selection. So think the first person knows what they wre talking about. The essential mix however thats just hosted by him most the time and once in a while he does it. Anyways seen him play a couple of times and usually don't like him, but last time at crobar he played pretty well and kept the floor packed till the club closed. Not as bad as most people say he is.
  15. Glad to hear the event went well, I knew it would be a fun one for those that got to attend it. Saw the other thread with the door issue and all I can say about that is if you are gonna go with just guys, try to limit it and be ready to not get in because opium and clubs like it do its best to have a much higher female to male ratio. I am all up for that even though sometimes it makes me wait even longer to get through the door or possibly not get in. Unlike the other clubs of its type though, opium tries to do something different occasionaly by bringing in top djs, who believe it or not do not get the club any more packed then it normally is on any given day. It also gets tons of models and actresses to host their parties there, so no complaints from me about that. ANyways back to the subject at hand, several differernt people who I usually end up seeing every friday at prive told me last night was amazing and that they spent the whole time in the house room and that I missed out cause normally Im the one dragging them into there from the hip hop room. Anyways congrats to opium and cj for throwing a great party together, and hopefully I'll be in town for the next one. Oh and if last night was anything like the night of chris lawrence, tara reid then do not make any complaints cause last time I saw nick on his own birthday making sure everybody on his list got in till about 1:00 so I'm sure last night he did his best again to take care of everybody.
  16. Good to see something a bit different during the daytime on party931, keep it up. Pvd is not reallly my taste but I like what is being done regardless.
  17. Good luck to the cj and opium crew with this event, should be a blast. Unfortunately not in town so will be missing it, but to those attending have fun and enjoy it.
  18. Bla bla bla, those guys all live in nyc so of course they play there more often, but with the success em had when he played here couple of weeks ago im sure we will see more of him and others like him. Miami gets oscar g, roland, robbie rivera, stryke, markus shultz, and tons of other upcoming djs like demo and fonseca. Oscar is space, could not imagine the place without him though I think him on the patio every week was a mistake for them. For me its good, but as for as for business dec. think its not so good cause lots of people say I can catch him anytime I feel like it since he always there and i can go clubbing to other places and if im still up for partying catch him in the morning. For true fans though, its the best thing for us to catch him inside and out all the time. Techno is not really for me, unless its done really well and I can't check it out on a weekly basis so for privelege I think it could work, but I'll only be tehre once a while. Nyc has a great scene from what I've heard but so does miami, don't compare them just appreciate you are not in deleware having to listen to livesets u dl and when u go out u hear hip hop and stuff. I do agree with u on a few points though, more em and other ny djs over here more often please. Not cause they the best, but I think miami should bring in guys not only from europe but also top djs from the rest of the united states as well as other countries. P:M sessions does a pretty good job of that (Israel and vich, mazi, ali ajami) By the way 2 lazy to post on other threads, but good to see board is still full of drama, been a nice distraction tonight and hope to be back soon to enjoy the miami nightlife.
  19. Sucks to hear was not crowded. Thhis guy puts his heart and soul into playing every saturday for us and seems like more people care about heading out to see soem foreign djs that don't give a shit about the fans as long as they making their money . I'm sure oscar had a great birthday regardless and I hope people start treating him and the rest of the locals with the respect they should get for what they do for us. Also sucks for me that I missed the roland extended set, was waiting for that for a long, but I'm stuck in haiti right now dealing with some crazy political shit. By the way, not like u don't know but this week confirmed my opinions on most international news reports in us publications in that they are full of crap and biased. Too lazy to write a thread on it, but the associated press giving news to cnn and those others get a big fuck you from this dude here. Anywyas hope the ordeal gets over quick, and I get to go back to miami soon enough b4 comin here for christmas.
  20. what exactly is going on? This week have been following the news back home and been focusing on the crazy shit going on over there and have not been following whats goin on over here. Fill the clueless in.
  21. Hopefully tons of people show some love for the local oldie dj like they do for out of town djs Anyways would love to go but this weekend not the right time for me to be heading out. Sucks for me especially with roland on the patio from 5 to close.
  22. To those going out tonight, this should be fun. Maybe next time, he is in town I'll be able to make it.
  23. jason dunne- mind the scape pt.1 Beautiful mix, love the songs on there but its a lil different then what i normally listen to.
  24. Well this friday, today is the day of the rally and though a bit scared for my fam as they will all be there, kinda proud to see them standing up for every haitian and wish i could be there as well supporting them. It's supposed to have tons of people there rallying and showing that they want a change in the country. Hopefully the government does not act like they did last time and use violence against the people during their peaceful rally. Last time, they had that rally as you could tell from that article I posted earlier it turned nasty as the meeting ended and the group organizing the rally were attacked by people sent by the gov. and luckily they made it out alive.
