  6. ok so like many here i think NYC needs a good kick in the ass when it comes to nightlife, i am not from NY..originally but i do goto school here....i used to vist back in 99-00 when some very good times were had....now that i live here it seems to be lacking....i have been to avalon in NY and many times in boston....i think the diference between the two clubs is that boston peps goto avalon to party, have a good time, get drunk ...and listen to some good music while they are there...i happen to like avalon in NY...execpt for some minor things....however i can see these issues fading with time...ok back to what i wana say......i had to kill some time in the city yesterday so i went to go see if i could find crobar and spirt....i drove by both around 10 and it seems that both are well on there way to be open....spirit has huge wooden doors with a sun in middle of them kinda cool.....there is also a large number of work permits on the door a good sign....crobar had a door open so as i drove by i peeked in....i think i pissed off the security guard opps....didnt see much but i am hopping for the best.....we will all see soon enough...... :pint:
  7. i saw mistress barbara in boston by accident......she was a pleasant suprise......she wasnt topless tho
  8. quick question?.....the paladium was the old exit right??????

  10. the only other club in springfield is the hippodrome, i used to work there when i went to school in ma . . . hey when did you work at hippodrome i just moved form there last june so ive prob see yas there i was there alot on thurs night and sometimes on sat??????
  11. well your gona be headed up to where i grew up, ive had many a good nights in good ole springfield.....over all its not to bad....its no new york but a good time can be had.......on fri id check out naismiths on worthington st. its a college and twenty something crowd cheap beer and a large selection of brew that are very unique....at for hot club my buddy works the door and all i have to say is stay away its not fun at all when i forst opened it was packed as all hell but now its very bad.......on sat id goto hippodrome.....most are right about it being shitty music but there are alway lots and lots of amazing woman...drinks are also very cheap compared to ny and last i knew they had an O2 bar worth checking out.....as far as guest list and cover....cover is about 10 at hippodrome and i dont know of any guestlist.....also massachusetts clubs and bars close at two so be prepared to just be getting goin only to have places shut down.......hartford is also a good spot but springfield is usually more consistant that hartford.......another thing to consider is its spring break time and springfield is alot of college kids so it might be kinda dead.....anyways have fun in springfield i always did
  12. hell yea i havent been but if my plans to stay down in this area this summer happen the boardy barn will be a tradition every sunday............all i hear is good things........CANT FUCKIN WAIT FOR SUMMER!!!!!!!!!
  13. yea i belive roxys capicity is 2100 so multiply that by 40 bills a ticket and thats $84,000 so i doubt he makes $20,000 an hour......I was thinking he got between $30,000 and $40,000 for the night.......and some buddies of mine said he got only $2,000 to $5,000......this to me is way to low.....anyways thanks for the input
  14. what r u serious 20k as in $20,000 an hour so his set this pasr friday cost $120,000 thats insane!!!!!!!!
  15. hey whats up everyone i am new to this board i just moved to the new york area for school last fall......and im loving it. I attended paul van dyk last friday night and WOW what a show amazing time. The line did suck security sucked i know they had an important job to do and that the nypd and the fire dept were watching there every move but still. We were actually only about 20 feet from the door when they told everyone to leave. We stuck around for a few minutes decided to leave for a bit. After a while we went back to try and get because i was lied to by security 3 times and i thought there was no way i was going to get my ticket money back from satalite. So after about 15 min of waiting they decided to let the 50 or so people left in. Once inside i was amazed Van Dyk was amazing hes not only a world class DJ he is an amazing musician and a master at working a crowd, so id say even with all the B.S. it was still an amazing night I do have one question that was a topic of arguement among some friends tonight.....Does anyone know how much Van Dyk makes for spining the night????? My friends and i are would love to know and i want to prove to my friends that i am right........any info would be much appreciated
