  2. You know, im not to sure on what Robbie Rivera or Ralph Falcon(whom i have no idea who he is) are playing. I have not yet had the chance to grace the decks with Robbie...although I have heard some of his stuff in NYC...and it sound great. Its more ruff sounding than what i have gotten from my UK/South American connections. Once we overhall the new website to my label....i will get a few live MP3's up for you to listen to. Im sure the sound will grace the speakers during the WMC04. I know i have a few shows...and i will drop the sound. Im not sure if it will go over well with the BIG CLUB crowd. It has energy but its more like a grooven feeling, you just get lost in the transition from track to track. To tell you the truth....I have stoped playing the Super Clubs. My sound has transformend and as it progresses my sound gets further and futher away from what the masses want. The largest place i have played in a while is Sullivan Rm NYC. Holds about 400 people. All other venues here and overseas are like the size of, say Nerve. Im just not in demand for the Super Club line up...which is fine, because musically, im going in a whole nother direction.
  3. LOL Dj rankings are for shit. There are soooooo many good djs, unknown to the masses. I mean, Im on my way to South America in a week. The guys im playing over there are not RANKED, but i will tell you this.....the sound great. Ranking a Dj is good PR for the DJ and its good Record sales. However...it means nothing. Only the masses follow that shit and Club owners book them to bring in the $$$$$. Those rankings are not about MUSIC...they are about pop culture. Just like the word IBIZA.....been playing their for almost 8 years...and only about 3 years ago when E channel and all the other commercial crap invaded the Isand....did the Masses hear of SPACE, DC 10, BORA BORA, ManiMission parties, etc. Once the masses grabed hold of the idea of IBIZA, here comes the Anthem CDs, Trance is not a bad sound....its an old sound, old to those who grow with the scene, who are not afraid to experience the unknown sounds before it reaches 93.1 or whatever station south Florida has.
  4. hummm....Trance was wicked back in the early to mid 90s right along side Acid house. I do belive Kimball Collins brougth trance to america...and being one of the originals to witness Sasha's first American performance I must say........Trance has become like the "brittney Spears" of Global Sounds. However.......as a dj my self......i find PVD to be a master at working the boards. I have played with him a few times and to watch him work the mids/highs/lows and never look up at the crowd much is amazing....he does not get fucked up like many others i have played with. However, i just did a set at Filter 14 in NYC.....Satoshi T. was spot on and just as focused as PVD.....of course for you that know Filter 14......i holds maby 200 if that. I also feel that PROGRESSIVE in the sense is becoming more and more like Trance. It is played everywhere. I have been a way, London, La, nyc and in the underground scene i have noticed HOUSE is making a comeback. A great sounding house, with rollen basse lines, snaping highs, and some real phat lyrics. Much i the records i have gotten latley are HOUSE, and House has incorporated the breakdowns..... So, keep an eye and ear out for this sound.....Its not Played in Miami much at all but you can find it if you look hard enough. Keep an eye out for Darren Emersons next CD, should be out by WMC.....it has that HOUSE sound im speaking of.
  5. No offense but at least one person on this board has enougth respect for the dance music culture. 93.1 might be a radio station, but it in no way represents the Dance Music Culture that i am expossed to. Even with Okey's specail set, no offense to Okey he is a master producer and has taken djing to a higher level by producing scores for movies. Nevertheless......93.1 is straight dance chessy shit. The masses are arses IMHO. As a producer and a dj, i would not want my current tracks on 93.1, because its not about the music on that station, its about watered down talent. XM Radio, Pulse Radio, Radio 1 UK during Sebs show, these are more representative of the dance culture....however, even these stations can play chessy shit sometimes. True Dance Music should stay off the radio, stay on the MP3s,on Cds, on the Plastic that is fantastic and in the clubs. Chessy clubs are a whole nother topic..........TOOOOO MANY out there to talk about.
  6. ONCE again Blendproductions brings the Music to the People. This night is only gaining momentum. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC.
  7. Hells ya......I will be representing plastic Fantastic on this one. Gave them a call.....mr. Blend i have two unreleased Plastic Fantastic records for you....one of Mr Luiz Paris/ the second is a surprise... see eveyone at LUNA....saturday night
  8. After returning from a few shows in LA... I would say that Miami is going throught the same changes as the rest of the bigger cities. Chessy trance and Tribal, 93.1, hip hop are the driving forces in Miami right now. However......if you look hard enough you can find good shows. LUNA and BlendProductions along side Marko....are bringing in great talent......and they are truely about the music. There is still great talent in Miami...... I think much of what Miami will have to offer will come out during the WMC04. It is the entire USA that is going through changes.......
  9. Not to sure about DEL RAY BEACH. No offense to the Crew who is pushing a club in DEL RAY. I live in DEL RAY, my studio was just relocated to the beach front from Chicago. If a scene is in DEL RAY....more power to it.....however, from my take...there are a lot of chessy people on Atlantic Ave. Not to mention there is no late night....in DEL RAY. However.....sitting in my studio...overlooking the beach and smelling the Salt Air as i kick back in DEL RAY is great. And to think...I just spoke to Derrick Carter and Dave Seame and told them i was in a nice small beach town...with no music scene, I guess I spoke to soon..... Let me know when the next party is in DEL RAY and if im in town, i will stop by to ck it out.
  10. U need to swing by.....ck out the dj set. Maby you can host the after hours? I dont know you...im not sure if your on the same page as far as music.... but you sure do host a lot of parties out there in LA LA l
  11. If I had my way, I would have all the music lovers in LA on my list at the Playboy Mansion. But you know how these things go. Sometimes People forget what really makes a party.

  13. Miami...the home to beautiful women and great sounds. DJ's ERIC ROSS and SOMBIONX's first LP DR FEELS GOOD is charted number one with Swagrecords.com The Dr Feels Good LP is charted number 1 for TECH HOUSE , beating out the likes of mr Miguel Migs and Eric's old friend DR DERRICK L CARTER(have no idea why Derrick is listed under Tech house, he's Squaredancing in a Roundhouse LP is number one under house.) Stay tuned for the next release, RED DOG FLIES AT NOON, you can get a down load of the unreleased track at www.qstudios.tv

OSCAR G. I want to get you a track to see if you would like to remix it. The track is produced by Sombionx (charted world wide on the house tip, Darren Emmersion just signed two of his tracks) and Myself (sorta charted on the global scene). I really dont want to call PAM or your agent...too much. I rather have you go to the site listen to the track and let me know if your interested. Then we can deal with the Legal end of things (which i hate because its so much paperwork...but has to be done) Anyways....Plastica, (Platic Fantastic), Kubist and a few other UK labels are looking at the possibility of picking the track up. So, email me and let me know if your down with listening to it before all the Formalities have to be done. Thanks.... eric@djericross.com.....cheers
  19. Very interesting as San Fran has died out the last few years. Much of the sound as i remember is a tweeky house sound, close to OHM recordings. A slow Mark Farina sound. Too bad...San Fran use to rock, when Spundae was in its develpment stage.
  20. As an "outsider" i went. Not knowing any of the promoters or even the DJs. It was my first time hearing DEMI. Eventhough the sounds played that night are not what i personally play or like...I found the programing to be tight. Besides the Fashion show (which is not really my favorit thing in a club) I think the night went off with a blast. The club was packed by 12:00pm. This is on the weekend after Labor day, which is a hard Friday to pull off. So, these guys who promoted the night were spot on.....professional for sure. As i just chilled and took in the scene and sounds...I saw nothing but people dancing with a smile. So, based on my perception......the night went off well.
  21. The key is HAD a TEN YEAR LEAP. I play the UK at least three times a year and it has gotten worse. Hence...all my mates are playing the US more and more. Cream Fields has lost its edge, Gatecrashers has sized down its presence. MOS has become crap. Most of my friends play smaller venues now in the UK vrs the Massive venues that once where. In my professional speak....UK and The USA have been chessyed out. (NYC and Miami are carrying the torch for now....with great djs and producers) When P Diddy enters the House Music scene.....you know its commerical time. South Amercia is where it is at. Brazil, Spain (not Ibiza), Venezuela, Argentina, Peru. I believe these places are in the mist of a massive music movement in House music. (all house,). Those countries are my main focuse far more than the UK right now. It will be exciting to see where South America takes us in the world of dance music
  22. I had the pleasure of hearing these guys. Great programing and great energy. Luna is a great space.....great layout. Good sound and just the right size for a party. This place is up and comming for sure.....all you clubplanet followers should take out some time at ck the party out. If i stear you wrong you can trash me on this site and my own website. But i do believe...if you like muzik and you enjoy hearing great programing.....as well as feeling the beats. Cianci & avila at LUNA is your spot.
  23. This clown has played with the best of them from NYC to IBIZA. And although each city has its moments.....the two best in the music scene are Miami and NYC. The talent that be and the up and comming talent in these two US cities are by far the best. I understand that some Djs are "predictable" and that is because the become comfortable.....they do not try and bring in newsounds to educate, to push the envolope persa. These "predictiable Djs" tend to fade away. And i do know a few "pro" djs who are "predictable", and that is due to the promotion of a GU cd they are pushing, or a certain set they are pushing in the stores. Nevertheless, Miami has a foundation to restart the music revolution. To bring back the "Hacenda" vibe. You guys are the key to the survival of the true music scene, as are the djs who are not "predictiable.

    Miami Djs

I was introduced to edger this week at Grooveman. I have stoped in to listen to a few djs that play out in Miami. And i must say......a talented group. It is refreshing to hear good djs from all styles. Its good to see solid programing and djs that know how to work the energy in the room. Moving the label to Miami was a great choice...and to be around great talent makes it even better.
