  1. PLEASE DON'T EVER "STICKY" A TOMMY LEE SHOW!!!! NO EXPLANATION NECCESSARY... where the hell is Stone Park anyway?
  2. crobar lost it's mojo.... will Hillary be there???
  3. What's the story?? I'm from Chicago and they are not stopping here. Minneapolis will have them play though??? I might be in LA during the next month and I don't want to miss out on that show... Help me out or else I'm going to see Marky in London!!!
  4. Here, I'll translate... blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, blaaaaaaaaah, blaaaaaaaaaaaaah, Centro-fly, blaaaaaaah Arc, blaaaaaaaaaaah crobar, blaaaaaaaaaaaaaah whatever.
  5. SuperSweet night & day.... i still feel good! Where am I gonna go on Sundays??? On Mondays????
  6. Crobar Chicago just opened last weekend and the place was super-packed. Bunches of wanna-be A-Listers wandered around. There's no such thing as an a-list in Chicago! We are all on the C-List, dontchaknow. The new attitude at Crobar is geared toward party-people in their mid-to-late twenties and early thirtys... NO MORE KIDS!! I can't wait to hit NYC when Crobar opens there. Me and the Krazy-Queens Krew will be sneaking in the back, avoiding all those annoying lines you got there in NYC. If any of youse New Yorker come to Chicago, try Crobar, it's ALL GOOD! But you should go to the center of House Music - the SMARTBAR. Every night there is a talented DJ playing. The most consistent club I've been too.
  7. Pre-pay is the only way party people. We had a great time at the Chicago show!!! I was able to walk right in at Transit, the place was crowded but comfortable (Wednesday night show). The music was incredible! I felt like I was floating for at least an hour when they played thair new single (and I don't even like the song that much!). Too bad they played at Centro-Fly. That place is packed on an off night. I was really lucky to be in Chicago at the time they played, the entire crowd was totally into the music while all the meatheads and barbie dolls packed together in the VIP. I love the Chem Bros!! They never tour in the States. I was really lucky! On a scale from 1 to 10, I give their show a 9.5! Chi-town is the place to party without massive crowds. Youse got too many peoples ova there! Later NYC-FOOLS!

  9. The King of Brit-pop dance music will be at the House of Blues. His new album is coming out, or already is out and it is probably like his last one: with Paul Oakenfold plastered all over it so the unknowing will recognize Oakey's name and buy it. Check out BBC.co.uk to hear his radio performance from last week if you wanna hear what he's got.
  10. The big man is starting his U.S. tour here in Chicago with Luke Vibert! The Empty Bottlewill be hosting an extremely rare small club performance with electronic music superstar SQUAREPUSHER. One of the most enigmatic, paradoxical figures in music today, TOM JENKINSON is one but a handful of electronic music's top talents. His catalogue of music has been enumerated upon at great length by critics and fans alike, and his work with labels Nothing, Rephlex and Warp will surely continue to move people in the decades that follow. JENKINSON'S approach to composing is franticly attentive and he is "complex, fluid, restlessly inventive, constantly striving to strike the balance between energy and innovation and fuelled by the desire to achieve nothing less than the best." A major talent in his own right, LUKE VIBERT - the man behind releases using the PLUG and WAGON CHRIST monikers, respectively - will open the show with a special deejay set. Empty Bottle has a great sound system to handle Squarepusher's deep basslines. For those who remember Sunday nights in the mid-nineties; the Dragon Dub Sound System, big Jungle and Drum'n'Bass sounds introducing the genre to the Midwest. FRI. 7/18/03 (10:00pm; $15 advance / $18 door)
  11. Listen here cali-boy, you picked the right city to check out the best house music... you are just on the wrong night. Monday nights at Red Dog with Lego and Mark Grant are the best. Saturday nights at Smartbar are consistently smooth. Zentra is pumping out the house every weekend - last weekend they had a big show with Gene Ferris and Derrick Carter. Big Wig has house on Thursdays but they have no listings for this Thursday the 10th. No matta fool, you gonna be straight where ever you go. Check out these websites and get yo info yo'self, sucka! urchicago.com chireader.com (on the left column:hit music, then dance music) zentranightclub.com transit.gogga.com smartbarchicago.com bigwignightclub.com
  12. Boy, I'm glad I threw away $43 on that waste of a show! BT couldn't have been more of a retard out there (my first BT experiecnce). Why did he get so damn excited during the slow part of his songs? I just wanted to go up on stage and slap his highlighted head. "The Crystal Method Lite" that showed up Sat night played a few good tunes but all in all, not what I expected. Digweed saved the night, gave us something to be happy about. Where was this BIG light show... that little laser I saw up there was a joke! Congress is a great venue, although there are too many seats and too many prople sleeping in them. Thank you Zentra for continuing the night... even though Crystal Meth played there. I've been to much better shows for half the price, maybe the low turnout will help convince these greedy promoters and DJ's that there is a limit on what you charge. $43 is way too much for what we got. YOU OWE ME BEEEOTCH!!!
  13. Teri Bristol and intimate beats just do not go together. She throws down the hard core prog house... how can she get intimate?
  14. SmartBar is the BEST venue on Saturday night. Simply the best Chicago House music in the world!!! White Star is totally WACK. If you like gold chains and barbie doll bitches... then please go to the "brown star lounge" Derrick Carter is going to have a great show @ Zentra. The Congress Theater is one awesome venue - Digweed will be there too with Crystal Method and BT... probably a good time!? When Vision has good DJ's, that place is a lot of fun - and it's huge!! Go to URchicago.com and get all the info. There are no Sound Factory or Exit type places here that stay open til 11AM, you'll just have to make some friends and throw an after hours party at your hotel... let us know what room and I'll bring some party crashers... SUCKAS!!
  15. I wish I could make it to all those great events... but I can't because they will definately suck if they are held at Glow. I would rather drive to Philly, NYC, Boston or even Clevelend to enjoy the music at a real culb rather than dealing with that place. Is there a worse club in the US? Doubtful!! I just went to some really skanky places in Detroit for the Movement fest, we had a great time, the vibe was positive and the people were superhappy. What is it about Glow that sucks? It must be the management (if there is any) and the staff. They are piss-poor! So have fun at your Glow, swing some sticks and get spit at by the staff - Fun! Fun! Fun! Lots of chumps, lots of skanks and the rest of the staff sucks too!
  16. This year in Detroit, Memorial Day Weekend will once again be tight... and alright. http://www.movementfestival.com/index.html Check it out people. If you are underground and you love electronic music... then get over to Mo-Town baby!! All fans of Techno, House, Drum'n'Bass should be there. Don't worry about the cost... cause it's free!! Don't worry about the crowd... cause they are all real!! No velvet ropes, no additude, nothing but dancing and fun on the Detroit River. I'm driving from Chicago and bringing a big crew, all ya'all should do that to! Don't miss the Windy City All-Stars Sunday night at Club Portal, 2030 Grand River - Downtown Detroit (5 min. from Hart Plaza). This is the best electronic music festival in the country. Way better scene and people than WMC-Miami. Let's get GRIMEY!!!!!
  17. Sonar Festival 2003. Go to this website : http://www.sonar.es/portal/eng/home.htmGreat schedule and line-up. Party all day and keep going util the sun rises. Check it out ya'all, this will be real nice. Those going to Ibiza should stop by here first!!
  18. The only staff that can be somewhat abrasive is at two places: Police stations and Prisons... Maybe a good place for the staff when Glow eventually shuts down... see ya suckas!!!
  19. Is it at all possible to close down that pathetic club? The staff would be hard up for another job where they can spit on people. Thanks for the bad memories Glow, I love being treated like crap - it makes the music sound so great.... when I go someplace else. The Tiesto show would have been 100 times better in the bathroom at McDonalds. Glow is the worst example of what a club should be and they should be shut down. I guess it will happen only in a matter of time. I will laugh and laugh on that day. HE HE HE HE!
  20. Tiesto was good Saturday night, but not great. His highs weren't high enough and his pauses were too long and too often. Don't get me wrong though, Tiesto is the shizzz-nit. I've seen him four times in the past year and this one was the least impressive. The biggest problem though was the club. Glow or Insominia or whatever it's called is THE worst place in the country to see Tiesto or anyone else. I have been many places and the staff there was the rudest, uglyist and most aggressive I have seen. Even more than Club Space in Miami and Club Space in the Hamptions (if you can believe that). We saw Tiesto at Glow last year and we had the same problem - awful staff. I was almost kicked out for refusing to tip a bartender after he insulted my girl. Totally uncalled for. I hope that Tiesto decides to play someplace else next time. Tiesto's shows are more than the music - the vibe is most important. When you have thugs hovering around you all night long (and big dealers), how can you enjoy yourself. I hope that Glow gets shut down and all the staff there have to work at McDonalds.

  22. Detroit - Movement 2003 - Who's Goin? Attention!! Attention!!! All true underground music lovers in Chicago: Make no other plans for Memorial Day Weekend - The best music fest in the country is going on in Detroit!!! This is the REAL music festival for American Electronic Music. Miami's WMC is great, don't get me wrong, but the scene is WACK!! In Detroit, all the people are real and the music is as grimey as it gets. No VIP, no attitude, no dress code - just come as you are, walk right in and start dancin'!! BIG UP to the Windy City All-Stars playing Sunday and representing Chicago drum'n'bass. See you there SUCKAS!!!!!!
