Roly kicks it up a few notches when he is in the mainroom, good stuff from Roly. Erick comes on and proceeds to unleash one sick set of house music. he is a master who knows when to bring it down, and when to kick it up .it was like the crowd was feeding off his beats and energy. this created one the sickest vibes I have felt at Space. as if his mainroom set was not enough. Erick came out on the terrace and ripped it again. it has been a long time since I have seen the terrace go off like that. Peeps going nutz, and Erik having the time of his life up in the booth. damn even LP and Roly where dancing out on the terrace. Erick's sets in the mainroom and terrace, where far better then his last appearance at Space .truly beyond anything I could have imagined.:cool:

highlight for me .Erick dropping Prodigy's "smack my bitch up" on the terrace; I was like this is just sickkkkkkkkkkkkk.

props to the CP crew in da house. special shout out to poysoniv, houzekity, liliz77, crazyc (and her sister), laliux ,and Bling you folks are awesome and just plain fun to be around.

Thank you to LP for throwing a hot party. Biz and Eddy you guys always go the extra mile, thanks...

    I  Tony :kiss2:

    :D

  3. And btw beatfriek---EM had a flawless mix of new AND older tracks, he even dropped 1 of Murk"s singles--"Believe", off their newest album, at about 7or 8 am on the Terrace, to which i nearly had an 'EARGASM' to! :bounce:

Dont get me wrong, i used to jam to his sets at crobar, but best house dj???

To me, best house dj means- new tracks and sounds that you just cant find at grooveman or any record store.....

To start up with a certain tempo, and take it up from there, with the occasional let down... Not up and down and up and down.... That leaves you wanting more for us who go there for dancing, not to be a critic....

To bring in freshest new sounds along with classical beats that made dj's wanna become dj's...

I mean, erik morillo has been playing the same style house music that was in style about 3 years ago... And those tracks "so fucking beautiful" and "everybody wants to be somebody" are almost 3 years old...

i got them on bellini's Origin cd live at crobar if you need me to prove it....

most importantly, glad EM brought you guys quality beats, wish i could of been there!!!

I wish you were there too, Beatfriek!

you were missed! And where tha hell was MP3some? Another one of my fav dancers!

  5. Well-well-well!

    What a fucking night!!

    Eric Morillo is just :jawdrop:

This guy is just fucking incredible in the way he spins, a true music lover. It was hard for me to take my eyes off of him because his love for the music is so apparent! He looked sometimes like he was praying with eyes closed and hands clasped together!!

    WOW!

I was a little uncomfortable in the mainroom becuz of my stupid mistake of wearing 3 inch high heels, but once I got to the patio EM just rocked my world with his set! Highlights for me included the "Smack my bitch up" remix and the Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" mix! Also a track he dropped in the mainroom with some guy saying "MotherFucker!!!!" was tight!

Nice meeting all the new peeps i met and great seeing the ones I already know!

    Extra Special Thanks To:

Roland, Bling, Sobeton, and Biz for making my night extra special!!!

    I  you guys!!!! :D

It's true though, you are only as old as you feel. I know 23 year olds who are burnt out from clubbing, since they've been doing drugs since they were 18, and have gotten fried. I know 40 somethings who go out once a week religiously, and aren't burnouts...and they've been at it since they were 20. The trick is moderation, I'm seeing.

As for the mode of dress, well, that's up to you. Sometimes I go out in whatever I woke up in that morning, other times I'll fuck with peoples' heads and throw on a few hundred bucks worth of clothing.

For me, it's been an evolution. I started as a "normal" clubgoer when i was 18 or so...i eventually picked up my camera one night, and started shooting in the places i hung out in so much (can you believe I started shooting in The Mix?)...I'll always be shooting, but will it always be in clubs? Maybe, maybe not...depends on where the real club scene goes...however, i have set a little personal goal, and when I'm 30, I would really like to open up my own venue, nothing major, just a little room with the most advanced sound and lighting of the year 2009, and the best house, techno, and trance DJs that I can negotiate down to a reasonable fee.

I've already got my staff in mind, so some of yas will be getting phone calls in a few years.

Hey Pod---just for the sake of being a smart ass, i decided to do a little research on "gen x" and according to Msn Encarta and several other resources, Gen X is any person born roughly between 1965-1980, which would put a lot of those on here into that group, growing up in the 70"s and 80"s..so

  10. generation x is----

A bunch of club-dancing, car stereo blasting,151 shot doing, stylish clothes wearin,Bugs Bunny watchin, Chris Tucker quotin, Fruity Pebble eatin----BIG ASS KIDS!

    :bounce:

Some of us are big-ass kid parents as well....and my daughter loves the fact that i will bounce just as hard as her to an OG buildup....then tell her to get her ass to the table to do homework!!!

    :D

  11. I think us "Gen x"ers are the first generation to shun that "act your age" garbage and stay young--not only in the way we look, but also in the way we feel! I cant tell you how many of my friends/aquaintances are the exact same way. It"s funny, my friend Joe and I were having this exact convo earlier this week. Gen x is a big bunch of grown-ass kids! My feeling is as long as you are responsible, and im gonna quote our very own Funketeer---

    DO WHAT YOU WANT!!

    ps..im gonna be 33 on Feb 4!

My suggestion would be to take your foundation of latin and hip-hop and build from there. Its always good to see DJs blending their grass roots into their style. And as for the hip-hop, yes people on the board love to hate, but I still fuse a lot of hip hop and R & b into my style....whether they want to admit it or not hip hop, funk, soul, R & B, gospel, disco etc are all the grass roots of house. Check out lego at Sonar in Hollywood this month...he's from chicago and fuses alot of latin music into his silky smooth house style. Lots of percussion, samba, salsa and funky jazzy horns. On the harder side there is Erik Morillo at Space this month, he likes to fuse everything from hard disco house, to tribal to funky latin floor jammers. And so and so on.

    I  lyrik"s posts!!

  13. Im sure it was off tha hook, eddy. I got to hear an hour of the broadcast but i wasnt able to make it due to the person i was supposed to go with bailing on me @ the last minute....from what i heard on the radio it was Funky as hell!

most of these dumbasses here dont realize BBB is a fucking master!

    Sorry I missed it---:blown:

Shopping? Who gives a shit. I have every store in the world at my fingertips, and so do you.

I don't blame you for the kid issue though, I wouldn't raise a kid within Dade County at all. They could run into someone like me.

Yeah, Pod----considering what is offered here in Dade county as far as public education, kendall does have some of the best schools.

And not every kid comes out retarded as a result of Dade"s school system problems, a lot of that retardedness comes from slacking in parenting.

And u STILL havnt answered my question, Pod.....
