  1. I don't care about opinions and this and that. I'll be there on the floor enjoying 2 of my fave dj's rockin the set. Doesn't matter what they play. I know it may be far fetched to have trance tech and house in one night but dt is very pro and I am sure has enough music to maintain balance after picotto spins tech, trance, and whatever else he spins now. Cya guys there.

  2. Sorry guys this is only my third time hearing them and I enjoyed them more at canal room and cielo. The bpms were a bit to high for me but again I went with the prenotion of what I've heard in the past. I loved them anyway not to diminish what I heard and what I enjoyed. Ivano was great opening up. He was very subtle and progressive. Loved his set. Peace.

  3. I used to just hate it but now I love it argdiesel. Everyone including the deephouse dj's are playing music that is influenced or infused with the sounds that are "electro". Anyway I say rock anything as long as it is good. I don't care what year or how far fetched if it makes sense and keeps you in the groove go for it. Robbie is not exactly my style of electro but I would check him out if I could.

  4. Crobar is the most professional that I've seen so far in the big club scene by far. I wish the vip room was more dj friendly in design but as for everything else it's top notch. Pacha was a cool place the one time I went but it was hard to scope the place out correctly cause of our later arrival. But I have had many fun nights (s-man) at crobar.

  5. Sure, I'll take your word for it. But people who don't know anything about DJing and only care about the vibe and having a great time really don't like it when a DJ can't lead anywhere after (s)he played a great track(s). Or, worse, when someone "minimalist" takes over a nice place on a Saturday night. Isn't there a basement around NYU that he could rent so that those freaks can stand around him and watch him experiment? Man, it's a good thing I didn't take a table like I was about to!

Thanks for the warning about this place. I don't like people staring at dj's myself. Go do something like dance! As for the electro topic it's good in doses but I can't deal with just electro. Not just yet.

  6. There's many dj's that simply mix the classics up with the modern stuff. Anyway Roger S is my favorite and I always go to listen to him or as much as I can but I just felt that the line of house that I'm used to listening to from him was not all kept. The bassline or structure he tries to preserve from becoming just regular commercial sounding was not bent though. I guess maybe the place being packed lent to it also. Hardly any room to dance cause the place was too mobbed. Anyway till next time.

p.s. clinton I always read your posts. They are very informative.

  7. The beginning was best! Deep house and deep tribal! Can't beat that. But he lost me in some weird electro ladened tracks as well as the trancey sounding house tunes. Roger still my fave but I think he was too boombastic this time. I think one thing with his tracks is I am normally acquainted with lots of them but since he hasn't been in ny spinnin for a long time I was new to many of them. So it was like a shock effect hearing the more abstract sounding house tracks. He was getting back into the house that I enjoy hearing more towards the end of me leaving around 5 or so. I had fun simply cause of the people I hang with more so than roger this time.

  8. The most consistent in the fun category are cielo and sullivan room. Spirit I disagree with gabe has nothing. They are only dependent on a big dj name showing up. Thus no party no regulars. A great sound system doesn't do enough. Crobar is most consistent when it comes to a big club excluding pacha cause I've not gone there. Love is without a doubt the dopest or could be the best depending on who's spinnin cause that place is simply amazing in every way.
