There are way too many deejays out there who get caught up in there overinflated egos just because they were lucky enough to get a few gigs here in the city. Many lack creativity and just play the same overrated garbage that the next guys is spinning. It is not enough to bring two turntables a mixer and an effects processor and call yourself doing something. In NYC we need innovation, we need to be taken on a musical journey. Early today was another affirmation for me why TKC is the man!!! I only caught the tailend of his set, and even though attendance probably wasnt as high as it could have been due to easter there still was a sizable crowd and the energy was amazing. New York Citys underground house music aficionados of all persuasions and hues were just loosing there minds to TKC's beats driven sets. I ofcourse was not surprised being that i had the pleasure of hearing him a few times last year. ThatKidChris leaves the attitude at home. The common denominator with him and us on the dancefloor is the music. NOt any of this fluff or commercial garbage, but just tru underground spiritgrooving, bodysmacking beats. Look for him in the next couple of months, newyork. We need to get back to the underground and TKC is just the artist to do it!!!!

ive been to most if not all of juniors bday parties and i have to say to say that this was one of the best. His music made me feel like i wasnt even at roxy. He played very well. IT was a journey into house. Not heavy on vocals. im not a fan of them, but the ones he played were sick.... alot of hard tribal and percussion (my favorite) with a touch of classics. there were so many highlights throughout the day i cant even mention them. And the vibe was chill. not alot of messes all over the place, the staff was courteous and everyone looked as if they just wanted to have a good time. A good mix of str8 and gay white black latin and asian, what a good newyork afterafterhour party should be about !!!
