I am currently working on 2 new projects for 2 new events starting in July On FRIDAY July 16th I will be starting a new Friday party at FLOW which is at 150 Varrick Street @ Vandam (Just a couple of blocks down from the site of the former Garage. The party is in the really cool looking basement with a good sound system. The party will center on Jazz, Soul, Funk and Deep House (of course!) The space holds about 200 people. Entry is $10 but free if your on my guest list. Upstairs room will be Old Skool Hip Hop, R&B, Funk and Classics. While there is no big fee involved, if you are interested in playing, then drop me an email at jdpromo33@aol.com. ------------------------------------------------- Second project beginning July 18th and every Sunday thereafter will be the new "SUNDAY-SOIREE" at the all newly built club "RUBY FALLS" Located on 29th street between 11th & 12th Avenue. This am amazing split level space that can legally hold 1000 people. It used to be garage and they used the loading decks to create a split level. It has wooden floors and exposed brick walls and a REAL nice custom built sound system. The club also doubles as an art gallery during the weekdays and a club at night. It has a full cabaret license (do we still need these?)and is just right for this kind of event. The party will run from 6pm till 1am on Sunday's and we have some major sponsors supporting our efforts. RESIDENT DJ's will include Julius "The Mad Thinker" & the 3 Degrees Global crew as well as myself and guests. A guy in Europe just paid $600 for 2 tickets for Sunday. I guess there is a price for everything. The event is sold out and 100% zero chance of tickets at the door at 4pm. Maybe at 10pm you would have a better chance

To all concerned, IMPORTANT UPDATE CONCERNING OUR PARTY THIS SUNDAY WE ARE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT....... Thank you for the overwhelming response!! We would like to make sure that all those still looking to come to Body&SOUL this Sunday March 21st, know that tickets have completely sold out, both from our on-line Cybershop as well as all of the record stores that were carrying them. There are no more tickets than can be purchased at this time. Sending us emails or calling the stores won't make any new tickets be available for sale. There appears to be a very large additional demand, which we will not be able to meet at this time. For those who came too late in realizing that we were holding a party this Sunday, we can only but offer our apologies. However, it appears unlikely that showing up at the door on the day of the event will have much result, as we expect that most of those who come will stay very late, or until the party's closing time. Also, for those of you who have purchased tickets, there are a number of important reminders we would like to suggest: -1) There will be absolutely no re-entries allowed for this event. -2) Dress to sweat, and bring a minimum of personal effects and heavy coats, as the coat-check is sure to be overloaded and it will be very hot inside. -4) The venue will have a fully stocked and licensed bar for the night. -5) You may be subject to a search at the door. Also, you should bring ID to prove that you are over 21. Refrain from bringing large bags with many items, which will guarantee a long search. -6) You are not allowed to bring any type of video or audio recording devices. Anyone found recording during the night will have their gear confiscated and immediately get escorted out by security. -7) Plan ahead for food, if you think that you may be getting hungry during the party. We are thinking of having someone sell more substantial fare than just the snacks we were originally planning on offering for free, which will probably go in a few minutes. All over the news this morning. This is the third or so raid in less than 6 months and a number of arrests this time. I'm sorry to say but I think SF days are OVA! Too many violations, arrests to survive. Although I believe they may also get audited by IRS and get them on tax evasion charges as usual. If JP's crowd have moved on to Exit (Another marked club) it may not be long before the next closure is imminent (sp?) Exit has also been targetted many times for undercover buy and bust operations and has also been closed down a few trimes by the cops. The owner (NOT JP) is also under investigation. Now especially if "BLACK" decide they want to do After-Hours then they might as well draw a big red target on the front of the club. After-Hours are being targetted as an easy bust for drugs. This is also why Crobar decided to stay away from After-Hours for a while.
