    as far as your credit report goes, borrower or co-borrower is the same, doesn't matter which one you are, you are responsible for it

    yes, it will and they loan will show up on your credit report (it may take several months, if you buy quick, it may not affect you at all) it will affect your debt to income ratio when buying a home
