  2. Both clubs have spectacular lineups! Crobar in March is crazy w/ Cattaneo, Digweed, Calderone, Tenaglia! As far as Pacha Morillo/Zabiela = bliss Both have superb talent.. cheers to NYC for having such a diverse scene of heavy hitters. I will have to agree somewhat with the thread starter, after seeing Deep Dish and Sander K numerous times I've thoroughly been bored and almost never impressed, maybe I need to venture to NYC to hear a decent set though :=p
  3. Every Friday at Nation Buzzlife presents Cübik: FRIDAY, April 16th 2004: OLD SCHOOL NIGHT! Dieselboy vs. Scott Henry East Coast Science 3 Set! [Planet of the Drums | "The Dungeon Masters Guide"-2xCD in Stores May 18th | www.buzzlife.com] DB [breakbeat Science, NY] MC MESSINIAN [Planet of the Drums, Philly] JOHN TAB [www.buzzlife.com ALIAS, DC] For all the heads that have been talking about the NASA party - Cubik is hosting DC's old school party on April 16th. Ahhhh...the days of mixtapes. Remember the series of EAST COAST SCIENCE tapes that Scott Henry and Dieselboy used to put out? The third installment in the series featured UK Hardcore Breaks, and was an integral part of every ravers collection. That tape is the basis for the night at cubik - so you know they will be dropping some dope old beats. It is also a unique opportunatey to see two of the most influencal DJ's on the East Coast TAG-TEAM for three hours!! DB - one of the co-founders of NYC's NASA - will also be dropping the old school classics. His 'History of Drum and Bass' CD traced the lineage from UK Hardcore breaks to (what was then) current Drum and Bass. Memories...do you remember Glow - (the ultraworld rave - not the current dc club)? The "Columns" Warehouse in Baltimore? Sock hats? Platform adidas shell-toes? DJ Who rocking Rise every week? Huggie Bear and the other Pure Love events? The monthly Raza warehouse parties. Buzz's Dubtribe event near the current Tunnel space. Don't miss that old school vibe on the 16th at Cubik. ___________ FRIDAY, April 30th 2004: FEELGOOD [buzz | System Recordings, LA] "Charles Feelgood House Music" CD in stores now JOHN B [beta, Chihuahua, Tangent, Formation, MMI, UK] ___________ COMING THIS SUMMER: ADAM FREELAND, RENNIE PILGREM, INFECTED MUSHROOM-LIVE, DJ ICEY, DJ DAN, PLANET OF THE DRUMS, THE HFSTIVAL BUZZ TENT, STARSCAPE... ______________________________ ADMISSION: $10 for Buzz members until 12 midnight $15 General admission before 11 p.m. $20 General admission after 11 p.m. For information on how to become a Buzz member at no charge, visit: http://www.buzzlife.com/mssg_brd/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28944 ______________________________ All events are 18 & over w/ proper, gov't-issued, photo ID Regular hours: 9 p.m. - 4 a.m. | OPEN BAR from 9 p.m. - 10 p.m. CüBIK is every Friday at NATION 1015 Half St. SE, WDC WWW.BUZZLIFE.COM
