  1. Its been a while since I have been to Poly Esther's at the Stratosphere, but I remember it was hit or miss. But I am trying to organize a group of 30 people to go out for my birthday. Being a local, I am trying to avoid the upscale clubs like Pure and Tao as they are too uptight. Really looking for a chill place thats comfortable to dance and drink. So was thinking Poly Esther's, but if we are the only people in the place it will suck. How is it Saturday nights? Is it worthwhile, or does this place still look like its going to close? Gary
  2. I haven't found a comprehensive list of pool parties for 2007. Rehab is a given. but what about Relax, Ditch Fridays @ Palms and all the new pool parties which were supposed to happen at Cherry, Venetian, Caeser's South Point, etc? Thanks.
  3. Ok, we all know clubs don't publish their price lists. But I thought it might be vaulable for some folks to get an idea of how much bottles are at clubs: I only have experience with several clubs: Rum Jungle - $350 for Absolut, $375 for Jack Daniels Light - $375 for Absolut, $450 for Grey Goose Studio 54 - $350 for Absolut, $400 for Grey Goose If you have done bottle service before, post here so people can get an idea of what "retail" bottle service costs will be. Thanks!
  4. I heard the Crobar club was going in the NY NY, where the Big Apple bar used to be?
  5. I live in Vegas and am coming back to my old stomping grounds of San Jose. I see the downtown area has really come a long way since I moved! Anyways, I want to hook up bottle service for Fri Sept 8th. Any suggestions? Any hosts out there? Thanks! Gary
  6. Tough call on Sunday - Tiesto (@ Palms) vs Dubfire (@ Jet)! Ack!
  7. I will probably get shot for bringing this up, but when is Poly Esther's opening up in the Stratosphere? Any ideas? Gary
  8. I haven't been to OBA in a few months, but heard that OBA was recently closed when a friend asked about it. Is this true? If so, why does that club continue to have problems?
  9. I am looking to hookup bottle service for a group of 7-8. What are the minimums I can expect that night? If anyone has a hookup at 54, please let me know. I know its last minute, but I have a group coming into town. Thanks. Gary
  10. Thanks for the suggestions. I downloaded DJ Alligator...not that one. And I don't think its from Kill Bill....however Billie Jean rings a bell...might have been a mix. Any idea what mix that is?
  11. So this is killing me..was at RA sat night and there was this one dance song...had a whistle/crooning chorus...anyone heard this before? I am dying to figure out what song that is! Can anyone out there help?
  12. Last year my friends and I had bottle service at RJ and ICE over 4th of July weekend...we hooked up 2 bottles of absolut at 225/ea....and they were 1L not 750L bottles... Is it just me or are the prices going up? Sure, some new places like Pure might get the $500 a pop, but where do you go to pickup bottle service under $300 ea?
  13. I know most clubs have some sort of NYE party going on friday night. But what about the night of Jan 1st? Will we need reservations again, or can we expect normal cover at the clubs? I am looking to go to either Studio 54 or ICE. Thanks!
  14. Last time I was at ICE on a Sunday night was July 4th, and I thought that since it was basically a 3 day weekend it would be off the hook. But I was disappointed as there were like maybe 150 peeps that walked through the door that night. We had VIP service and a hot waitress, so we stuck around. Supposedly Sunday nights are slow - usually. I assume with Oakenfold in town, even on a Sunday, the place should be going off. Does anyone think otherwise? And what do you expect the cover to be that night? Vec
  15. Sorry for the confusion, ICE was dead on July 4th. We thought it would be packed, considering most people have the next day off. At both places, it was a 2 bottle minimum...paid $225 each for a 1L bottle of Absolut.
  16. I just moved to Vegas and I am new to the club scene. My buddies always used to be the "bar" type, rather than club. But having some of the best clubs in my backyard is too tempting for me, especially since I am into techno & trancey beats. So, a question for people who live in Vegas or visit Vegas often - how do you avoid the lines? Do you use concierge services? I am not sure how they make their money, as they don't charge us upfront. Maybe bottle service is significantly cheaper if we didn't go through a service? Or, of course the best way is to flip some cash to the bouncer. But how much usually? And does that just get you in to pay the cover again? Any suggestions that will work just about anywhere? Thanks.
  17. Hey, just wanted to say thanks for those of you who responded to my previous posts about VIP bottle service & club passes. Anyways, I thought I would share my experience here and hopefully someone else can learn from it. I ended up being contacted by a concierge service, ValetNoir. If you have used them before, drop me a line, I would be interested to hear from you. Anyways, I live in Vegas and I had 3 friends coming into town for the weekend of July 4th, so we knew it was going to be crowded. After answering a shitload of questions and looking into bottle minimums for me, I ended up getting bottle service at RumJungle on Saturday night and ICE on Sunday night, through ValetNoir. RumJungle was pretty cool, but its the typical trendy club. The music was pretty mainstream, nothing special. The service was awesome, and it was packed. As for ICE, it was her recommendation and we were really disappointed. Everything I read about ICE said it is a kick ass place. But on Saturday nights...and I figured since the next day was basically a holiday for most people, going to ICE on the 4th wouldn't be a big deal. Well it was dead. It was more of a lounge feeling than a club. And I have to say there wasn't more than 150 people in there at any one time. But it was cool to hang and listen to some good tunes. I can see how ICE would be packed on a good night...supposedly 2000 peeps rolled through the night before...
  18. So it sounds like they aren't a good deal for the 4th of july weekend? Has anyone USED these before?
  19. I noticed that there are a ton of VIP passes on ebay for just about every club in Vegas. They include free admission, and you only have to stand in the VIP line which is always shorter. Has anyone used these? They seem like a deal, as they sell for less than the normal price of admission...almost too good to be true. Thanks in advance!
