My review of Bungalow 8 from last Saturday night. The door. At 12:30 there was a line, maybe about 20 people, and door people weren't letting anyone in. We stood there for 10 minutes, then people in front of us started to leave, so that only some guys were in front of us. After they were all asked to buy bottles those guys left too, but us they let in, even though we were two guys with a girl. I guess that's because we were all good looking The music. ...was a huge surprise to me. On Bungalow's website they have Nicolas Matar's mixes, which are all funky and vocal house. That's what I expected, and it started this way, but after a few tracks the beats turned progressive and by 1:30 the DJ started Electro House and it stayed that way until they turned off the music at 4 AM. The vibe. Imagine Junior Vasquez or David Waxman's typical beats with Electro sound on top of that - that's what they played. Personally I like Tribal best, but I can't say that I didn't like the music. The vibe was excellent - everyone had fun and danced. The crowd. No Asians. No guidos. No underage kids. No gays. Noone shirtless. No tough guys. Barely any club chicks. So it were: couples mid 20s through 40s, groups of 20-somethings occupying a few tables (most tables were empty though), a flock of Indian hotties, 40-something blonde in a very shirt skirt who looked awful once they turned on the light... dunno - ask Silverbull who the hell all those people were Conclusion. Excellent deal - $20 cover buys a night of dancing to fashionable music in a nice club with the great crowd. Perfect place to go when there's nothing else to do on a Saturday night!
